Ffestiniog Railway

The Ffestiniog railway is the oldest narrow gauge railway in the world. With steam trains in operation that are over 150 years old, it is a trip back into the golden age of rail travel. Offering outstanding scenery whilst taking it all in from the comfortable seating where there is also a buffet service offering snacks and refreshments, including award-winning local ales.

From Porthmadog, the trains climb over 700 feet from sea level covering 13.5 miles into the mountains through magnificent forests, past lakes and waterfalls to Blaenau Ffestiniog.
