Location

This stunning open plan holiday accommodation which sleeps 5 is tucked away in the most idyllic rural location in Mid Wales. You’ll find it in Ceredigion, an impossibly beautiful part of Wales, a short distance from the university town of Aberystwyth.

Nature lovers will love the proximity to Cambrian Mountains, big rolling landscapes, and nearby golden beaches. The local hills and mountains offer no end of wide ranging activities, and this part of Wales is considered to be an excellent "dark sky area" for stargazers.

You’ll find one of Wales’s showstopper natural attractions on the doorstep. The Mynach Falls (Devil’s Bridge Falls) have drawn visitors to this part of the world since at least the 18th century. A spectacular 45-minute circular trail will take you to the falls through an ancient woodland gorge.

Aberystwyth, meaning the mouth of the river Ystwyth, is just 12 miles from the cottage. A university town, commonly known as ‘Aber’, it has plenty of independent shops, boutiques, and second-hand bookshops to browse. The town is a bit of a foodie’s paradise too, with no shortage of great places to eat. The Cardigan Bay Coast is home to many beautiful beaches, and it is well worth exploring both north and south. Head to the delightful seaside town of New Quay (once home and inspiration for Dylan Thomas) for brilliant boat trips and dolphin spotting.

You can jump aboard the delightful Vale of Rheidol Railway just five minutes from the cottage. The narrow gauge steam train hugs exciting contours, taking you through stunning rugged mountains and beautiful meadows to the coast at Aberystwyth.

Ceredigion is considered to be the epicentre of Welsh Culture, and the area is awash with legends and myths. King Arthur and his Knights, the legend of Cantre’r Gwaelod, Wales’ own lost Atlantis; cheating the Devil at Llanarth and Devil’s Bridge or the ghostly monk of Strata Florida. At this stunning open plan holiday accommodation which sleeps 5, it’s all here for the exploring!
