Located in the heart of a pretty village, Bodelen is a cute stone cottage with wood burning stove in Llanbedr, ideal for exploring the Cardigan Bay coastline and southern Eryri (Snowdonia). Located between the coast and mountains, this two bedroom property is ideal for families or a group of friends looking for a cosy getaway to North West Wales.

The front door of the end terrace property leads into a small hallway and through to the gorgeous open plan living space beyond. This freshly decorated space is sleek and modern, while retaining some of the historical charm of the building. To the front of the room, two modern grey fabric sofas are laid out in an L shape on wooden flooring, around a central coffee table and facing an inviting log burner built into a fabulous stone chimney breast. With a Smart TV located in the corner of the space, it's a great spot for settling down in the evening next to the fire, catching up on some box sets or having a chat with a glass of wine.

Heading further into the room, a beautifully fitted out kitchen is perfect for a self catering break. This well designed kitchen makes the best use of the space with units to both sides, and a half height wall separating the kitchen from the dining area. With an American style fridge freezer, large electric oven and hob, a dishwasher, there is also ample cupboard and counter space. Wood finished doors contrast nicely with the white stone effect worktops, and stone tiles are laid to the floor. Across the half height wall, a lovely dining area includes a four seater farmhouse dining table. Artwork on the walls feature a coastal theme and windows to both ends of the room provide plenty of natural light. A door from the kitchen leads to a downstairs cloakroom and back door leading out to the small garden.

Stairs from the hallway lead up to the first floor of this cute stone cottage with wood burning stove in Llanbedr, comprising two bedrooms and a bathroom. With a double room and a twin, the layout of the cottage is versatile for different types of groups. The master double bedroom is a spacious room to the back of the cottage. A black metal framed bed is flanked by two modern white bedside cabinets with table lamps. There's a large chest of drawers and open wardrobe for clothes storage, and the grey shades of the soft furnishings match the painted walls. Original wooden floorboards add character to the space, and once again, coastal artwork is present on the walls.

The second bedroom, a twin, features two divan single beds with soft cushioned headboards. Finished in shades of green, this room is warm and inviting, with a bedside table and lamp between the beds and a large enclosed cupboard for clothes storage. Completing the layout, a modern bathroom features a bath with shower over, along with a basin and WC.

Location

Bodelen's location is perfect for anyone who enjoys mountain exploration and coastal breaks, as well as learning about the local culture and history of the area. Situated on a terraced street in the charming village of Llanbedr, shops, restaurants, and mountain bike rentals are just a short stroll away. The Wales Coast Path in the Morfa Dyffryn National Nature Reserve, with its wild and lovely golden sandy beaches and spectacular sand dunes, is only a short drive or slightly longer walk of a few kilometres. Moving inland, it's not far to the Rhinogydd mountain range, which offers several hiking paths up to the summits of Rhinog Fawr and Rhinog Fach. Though less well-known than the more crowded areas of Eryri (Snowdonia National Park), these vistas are fantastic to explore in solitude.

The charming town of Harlech, with its pretty courtyards, unique stores and cafes, is only 10 minutes' drive to the north of this cute stone cottage with wood burning stove in Llanbedr. Standing atop a rocky outcrop in the town with breathtaking views of Bae Ceredigion (Cardigan Bay) and the hills of Snowdonia National Park, the major landmark is the majestic Harlech Castle, built in the thirteenth century. One of the nicest sandy beaches in Wales is located in Harlech, and visiting the town is not complete without seeing it. Keen golfers should also visit the well-known Royal St. David's Gold Club, which is surrounded by sand dunes, and offers fabulous views of Snowdonia and the castle.

From the property, it's just a fifteen-minute journey south to the well-known seaside destination of Barmouth. Situated on the brink of the Mawddach Estuary, Barmouth offers a wonderful views of the mountains, which act as a backdrop to the well-known Grade II listed railway bridge - the longest timber viaduct in Wales and among the oldest in Britain. Barmouth offers numerous excellent walking routes, one of which is the Mawddach Trail, which travels inland following the former track of an ancient railway line in the direction of Dolgellau.
