Holiday Accommodation On A Working Farm | Bronllwyd-Fawr

Pet FriendlyHot TubReal FireFarm Stay

This 3 bedroom traditional farmhouse offers picturesque holiday accommodation on a working farm on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. Panoramic views and a private hot tub as well as all the goings on the farm will make this cottage a firm favourite with a lot of our guests.

On the ground floor we have a large kitchen-diner that includes plenty of cupboard units, a fridge freezer, and washing machine. At the other end of the room a dining table and chairs sits under a window overlooking a lovely garden.

A spacious but cosy lounge sits on the other side of the entrance hall. A large inglenook fireplace houses a real fire and is flanked by comfortable leather sofas and a large flat screen TV. The original oak beams and stone hearth provide a real sense of tradition and history.

There are three bedrooms upstairs. Two double rooms and one smaller child’s room with bunk beds. So up to four adults and two children can be accommodated. There is a simple but spacious bathroom with large bath plus a separate shower room.

The owners, Glenys and Griffith John live in the house next door and are always on hand and happy to help if you are in need of anything. Tea and bara brith (provided on arrival), a real log fire set in the inglenook (initial supply of coal and logs provided). Please note electric by £1.00 coin meter.

Floor Plans

A patio area immediately in front of the house accommodates a large hot tub as well as the usual dining table and chairs and BBQ. A large and beautiful lawn stretches out in front down to the boundary of the farm and fields of grazing sheep. A perfect spot for relaxing after a walk in the hills or a stroll along the beach.

Abersoch nearby has been a very fashionable and popular holiday destination for generations but the farm offers guests the opportunity to explore quieter less busy beauty spots as well. There are lots of hidden coves in the area and quiet country walks will help you experience the true Llyn Peninsula perhaps.

The fishing village of Aberdaron is certainly worth a visit as are the beaches of Llanbedrog and Porth Dinllaen. The coastal path leading around Uwchmynydd is breathtaking and a day trip to Bardsey Island is a great option if the weather is calm enough.

The larger harbour town of Pwllheli is about 30 minutes to the east and has lots of shops and restaurants. Caernarfon Castle and the mountains of Snowdonia are a little further on again.

Such a lovely place to stay in this beautiful part of Wales. Owners were very friendly and welcoming. Not only did we have tea and Welsh cakes on arrival they also gave 3 Easter eggs to our daughters and let them help feed the lambs. Cottage very clean with all mod cons and the beds were very comfortable. Great base to stay in as close to Abersoch and Aberdaron. Fabulous walks from the cottage and the hot tub was an added treat.

What a fantastic home from home cottage. In a tranquil area even though it’s on a working farm.
The cottage has everything you need and tge log fire at night was amazing.
The hosts were very nice and very welcoming. They couldn’t do enough for us. They had lots of knowledge of the area with lots of advice on aces to visit and eat. Definitely recommend the farm shop about 15 mins away.
We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to visit again.
10 out of 10 from us!

Beautiful setting for a holiday in Wales. Lovely cottage, friendly owners. I would visit again. Thank you

Heartbroken leaving . Would recommend to anyone needing a change of pace ; sit , take in the view and stick the kettle on AGAIN! A stones throw from hells mouth bay and Abersoch. Not far from Nefyn and a magnificent bay there also. Kids loved it we loved it. Great house in a great area – bring shopping with you it’s a trek to Lidl/Asda etc

We had a great break on the farm, The views from the front were fabulous, particularly from the hot tub. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We were particularly grateful that they were willing to allow us early access on arrival and late departure, given that we had two children aged under 5 in our party. They willingly allowed the children to walk around the farm and meet the animals, and to play with the delightful sheepdog, Nell, on the front lawn, which the children loved. Great child-friendly beaches within easy 15 minute reach (Aberdaron & Llanbedrog). The break was great value for money, would strongly recommend.
Only recommendation would be for a better shower, which was either very cold or very hot.

Had a lovely 2 night break here in May. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and the cottage had all the necessities. A good location for visiting Abersoch and Aberdaron. Would recommend.

Had a fantastic stay over the Christmas period. Glenys and Griff are lovely very helpful and couldn’t do more for you. The cottage was lovely and had everything you needed and location was lovely on the farm. The farm dogs Mot Meg & Nel were very sweet and liked to come and say hello. There are plenty of walks around. The nearby beaches were lovely too definitely recommend visits to whistler Bay, Abersoch and Aberdaron. Enjoyed the lovely relaxing hot tub in the evenings too we shall definitely be retuning and would highly recommend to anybody.
