Lovely clean and welcoming cottage with beautiful views. Local pub is amazing for food and it’s quirkiness. Could just mention though that there is no shop in the village.

A delightful cottage with everything needed for a lovely stay. Set in the pretty village of Rowen the location is perfect for visiting the endless beauty spots of North Wales.

Beautiful cottage in a ‘hidden gem’ of a location. Festive & homely decorations made it even cosier for our New Year’s Eve mini break.
This cottage has everything you need for an enjoyable & comfortable stay. Even has a cosy pub down the road!
We will be back very soon – thank you

My wife and I have just spent two nights at Cae Uchaf and from the moment of pulling up outside the cottage to leaving, we were very impressed and would recommend it to anyone.
The owners are making a lot of effort with these cottages, more than most we have ever stayed at. The “Welcome hamper” was a real treat. Thank You.
The quality of interior fixtures, fittings and cleanliness was defiantly 10 out of 10. Even the exterior patio area and dry stone walling were a thing of beauty. I wish we had something like that at home.
Our only negative comment we both have is that the bed was far far to soft in our view. Two nights on that was more than enough.
However, I read in another comment box that someone has said “Comfy bed” so its a matter of people having their own views.
Well Done the Owners of Cae Uchaf!!!

My husband and I loved staying at this one bedroom cottage. The kitchen has good quality equipment and utensils. Nice space to cook in. Loved the little kitchen window.
I loved the soft furnishings and tasteful decor. Cosy, comfortable bed.
Beautiful scenery from the cottage.
Peaceful village and campsite. Great to sit outside in the morning for breakfast. Only ten minutes drive from Conwy.
One negative point is that I noticed the dressing table and mirror sits in a dark corner in the bedroom. Could this corner be lit up any better at all?
Would definitely visit again.

I stayed at this cottage 12 months ago and there is little to add to that review.
This remains my favourite Dioni cottage for just me and my Springer Spaniel.
For any couple looking for accommodation in northern Snowdonia this is perfectly positioned between Conwy and Betws y Coed.
A couple of points that may help pet owners:
There is a child gate at the cottage that can control your furry friend venturing upstairs which appears to have been an issue from some of the previous reviews.
As it was February I took some large blankets to cover the lovely furniture to prevent a damp dog making it less lovely, lots of towels and a large bucket to wash my muddy dog after walking. There is also an accessable stream near the pub in the village where I washed my dog.
The cottage and kitchen is very well equipped but the next time the equipment is renewed the one thing I would have found very useful would have been a large wooden chopping board.
Thank you Gwenan for another great week’s stay and for the tea and fruit cake.

Fab cottage in a brilliant location. Spent a brilliant long weekend there with the dog, lots of walking (and drinking in the local pub)
The cottage itself was a real home from home, everything you would expect. Thanks so much for the flowers and welsh cakes Gwen, they were a lovely touch.
Only thing I would add that is if you’re bringing a dog, be mindful that the dog cant go upstairs. I would have preferred to know before I booked and paid, and it was difficult to stop him venturing upstairs!
Thanks again, we will definitely return if you’ll have us 🙂

We couldn’t fault the cottage for cleanliness & hospitality, and the local pub was very handy. Our only negative point was the shower’ my wife being 80 and having hurt her arm while on Holliday, had great difficulty getting in & out of the over-bath shower. A hand rail would have helped a lot’ or even better still a walk in shower. Apart from this a lovely cottage & lovely location.

We have just returned from a week in this cottage, it was perfect! Spotless, comfortable and very well equipped. Absolutely gorgeous place in a lovely village.
Village pub is so close and we had a couple of drinks in there but tended to go into Conwy or Llandudno to eat in the evening.
Would definitely recommend this cottage, beautiful scenery sat in the garden, we had a great time.
Only tiny improvement we would make would be a slightly larger sofa or a comfy footstool – but thats because we are loungers!

A really lovely cottage recently built to a very high standard. Spent 3 nights at the end of august here and had a fabulous stay. It is situated on a working farm with onsite camping which wasn’t very busy for the time of year, very peaceful with a good pub at the end of the road. Amazing walks nearby stepped in history. Will definitely be returning here.

My wife and I loved this place. It is newly refurbished, very clean and well equipped. We were there in July and there seemed to be plenty of campers around, but this is really not an issue – we didn’t hear a thing!
The village (Rowen) is very picturesque and there are good walks at your doorstep. (Details supplied in the cottage.)
Wasn’t so keen on the local pub – indifferent service and food – but it is adequate. And there are some nicer places a little further afield.
Sadly the local shop/post office is no longer in business, but you can get essentials from the camp site shop – unmanned, but with an honesty box, which is a nice touch.

Three of us (two adults, one spaniel) have just returned from a week stay at this beautiful cottage.
Our feedback very much mirrors that of the previous reviewer. We also stayed off season so again we were the only people on site which really added to the charm of staying in this type of accommodation. Perfect location for accessing all the obvious POI.

This cottage has everything you could want from a holiday cottage for two.
It is very well equipped kitchen, a good size bath/shower and a large bedroom.
I will definitely be returning as this gives you an ideal base for the northern Snowdonia mountains.
I stayed for a week of walking with my Springer Spaniel in early February and was very lucky to have some dry and fairly stable weather.
There is a campsite close to the cottage but there were no campers and I had the site to myself so it was very quiet. I would imagine it could get quite busy in the popular months.
I didn’t try the pub out which is literally a stones throw from the cottage and catered for myself using the Tesco superstore in Llandudno Junction for supplies.
I had a great wifi connection but no Vodaphone mobile coverage.
The large Smart TV was a very nice addition for the evenings.
I would imagine it will be hard to find space to book this cottage again once people find out about this gem.
