Capel Prenteg is a cute, two bedroom holiday cottage near Porthmadog. With beautiful views of the Snowdonia mountains, it is a great little retreat for exploring the area. Placed along the route of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Railway, the sound of the steam train from the garden could not be more idyllic.
The modern renovation of a section of this old chapel makes great use of the space, creating a more roomy feel and look than you normally get with these older buildings. As you come through the front door, the kitchen is on your left and the sitting room on your right with stairs leading to the first floor directly from the front hallway.
The kitchen is a galley style kitchen with slate floors and modern white, high gloss units - despite not being the largest of kitchens due to the nature of the building, it has everything you need for your stay here, including a washing machine. It is well laid out and with new appliances, a very workable space. There is a dining table and chairs through the opening from the kitchen into the hallway.
The sitting room has more of those beautiful views from the windows. A nice room with plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy their downtime and of course a TV where you can all congregate at the end of the day to watch a film.
Upstairs you will find a double and a twin room. Carpeted throughout, both rooms have a lovely feel to them and where you certainly get your rest and relaxation in. The family bathroom with shower over bath arrangement, WC and washbasin is all on the floor.
