This farm holiday accommodation with mountain views is super-stylish and luxurious. A beautiful barn conversion on the stunning Llyn Peninsula, it sleeps up to seven guests in four bedrooms.

The location of this cottage is pretty hard to beat. Tucked away in the peaceful Llyn countryside, yet easily accessible from the main Caernarfon to Porthmadog highway, it is the perfect escape for anyone in search of a restorative North Wales getaway.

The cottage occupies its own private plot next to a working farm, and is surrounded by rolling Llyn countryside. It comes with a large garden, far reaching views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains, and – on a clear night – some of the most beautiful starry skies you could ever hope to gaze at.

It has been recently renovated to the highest standards. Nice touches like luxurious fabrics, comfortable leather armchairs and a great library of books give it the look and feel of an elegant boutique hotel. It is a bright, roomy cottage, with plenty of space for guests to socialise and spread out.

Downstairs at this farm holiday accommodation with mountain views, you’ll find a large sitting room with wooden floors and exposed oak beam. A comfortable sofa and a couple of leather armchairs are arranged around a toasty woodburner. There is a great library of books to dip into, and a wall-mounted TV.

Sliding glass doors from the sitting room lead through to a large sunroom, which is home to two more super-comfy sofas and magnificent panoramic views of the Llyn countryside and Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains. A glazed door opens out onto a dining terrace, with a lawned garden beyond.

The kitchen diner is spectacular, with gleaming granite work surfaces, a breakfast bar, large dining table and Aga range cooker. There is also an electric cooker if you prefer to cook with that, and a large fridge freezer. A separate utility room with an external door to the garden is super-handy for managing muddy shoes and clothes.

The cottage layout is slightly quirky, with two lovely double bedrooms downstairs, as well one bathroom with large walk in shower and a second large bathroom with a roll top bath. All of these rooms are beautifully presented.

Upstairs you will find two further bedrooms, one with twin beds, and one very decent sized single room. These bedrooms sit under the eaves, and with exposed wooden beams and apex ceilings (the head room is decent) are really cosy, attractive spaces.

Out in the garden, there is plenty of space to relax and enjoy. As well as the dining terrace, there are two lawned areas. There is a low stone wall around the property which allows uninterrupted views of the spectacular landscapes on all sides.

Location

The cottage is ideally placed for easy access to many of the region’s attractions. Ideal for anyone who enjoys nature and being active in the outdoors, it is close to the Lôn Efion cycle path and the Y Lôn Goed walking trail, as well as many of the region’s best adventures and attractions.

On the Llyn Peninsula you’re never far from a spectacular beach, and the seaside town of Criccieth is within an easy 15 minute drive of the cottage, with Abersoch, Llanbedrog, Porthdinllaen and Morfa Nefyn 20-30 minutes away.

The Llyn is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and one of Britain’s oldest pilgrimage routes. On both counts it’s not hard to see why. An exceptional and dramatic shoreline of coves, cliffs, bays, secret sandy beaches, offshore islands and stacks, wild beating waves – it’s a picture of what an idyllic coastal wilderness might look like.

At Criccieth, you’ll find traditional Welsh tearooms, some great places to eat out, as well as some very decent fish & chips. Expect attractive independent shops and some wonderfully browsable galleries and antiques. There’s even a traditional Welsh clog maker who still has his workshop in the town. Oh, and a medieval castle to watch over it all. It’s a great place to explore.

The Llyn’s sandy beaches and sheltered bays are brilliant playgrounds for all sorts of watersports including kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, SUPing and surfing – but they’re also great for the more traditional seaside pursuits of paddling, swimming, rock pooling and sandcastling.

This farm holiday accommodation with mountain views is a short drive from some great family activities and adventures, including the petting zoo at Dwyfor Ranch Rabbit Farm (10 minutes), Glasfryn Parc, karting and wakeboarding centre (20 minutes), and Bounce Below, Zip World and Llechwedd slate mine at Blaenau Ffestiniog (40 minutes).

For slightly more grown up days out, head to Portmeirion and its Italian style fantasy village (25 minutes), or Harlech with its steep winding streets and UNESCO-listed 13th century fortress (35 minutes). Or how about a day out on a steam railway? The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland railway are a splendid way to see North Wales.

There are more beaches than you could ever reasonably hope to explore on the Llyn Peninsula, but one of our favourites has to be at Porthdinllaen near Nefyn. It’s home to a beautifully sheltered sandy bay and what is consistently voted one of the best bars in the world – the Ty Coch Inn. An idyllic place for a pint and a ploughman’s, but check opening times before you visit.

We stayed last month and very much enjoyed the secluded location and beautiful views including the cattle in the field just over the wall. Very comfortable furnishing and plenty of space to spread out.

What can I say……lovely house, beautiful surroundings, easy booking / access, superb location and great livestock neighbours. Great property for all 5 of us (3 adults, 2 children) with lots of individual spaces when you need some lone time.

Genuinely have this place on my list when I’m next in the area!

We used the cottage as a base to climb Yr Wyddfa. The views were amazing, the interior is furnished to a high spec whilst keeping the charm of the building and surroundings. Plenty of parking space and great communication from the host. The place is well equipped with utensils and can get nice and warm if visiting in the winter months.

What fantastic hosts they were! Beautiful property. Very friendly and bought a lamb to show us as well as told us about the new calf that had been born. The hosts were very prompt at helping us find a restaurant. Nothing was too much! We would def come and stay again!

Such a lovely place, private, amazing views and perfect location! Really can’t ask for much more if you’re looking for a quiet getaway, with the options of either having a peaceful day at home with beautiful views in a lovely home, or short drive to all the great spots! Thank you to the hosts, who were very welcoming and friendly, we had a beautiful stay.

We have just returned home from a fantastic week in this lovely rural cottage situated on a working farm. This cottage is tastefully decorated and feel that the pictures tell stories of the families. The kitchen has everything that is needed for a busy family. Bedrooms again very comfortable tasteful and cosy. The views from the sunroom are stunning. This house is spotless.
Ellis has made my grandsons dreams come true taking him to see the sheep, cattle sit on a quad bike and tractor. Such a lovely person thank you.
Although this cottage is rural it is close enough to visit neighbouring Cricceth, Porthmadog, Abersoch.. we hope to return soon.

A beautiful place to stay. Very relaxing and calming, the views are incredible and to just sit in the sunroom watching the weather or the animals in the field right next to you is mesmerizing. The house has everything you need and is very nicely decorated and furnished. The beds are comfortable and the power shower is the best! You are far enough away from noise and roads, yet only a few minutes drive from most places. We were lucky enough to be invited to watch the sheep shearing, which was fabulous to watch. Mererid and Ellis are lovely friendly hosts and are on hand if ever you need them. We had complete privacy and had a lovely week visiting all the places nearby on the Llyn Peninsula. A total recharge of batteries in a beautiful picturesque spot. Could not recommend enough. And our dog loved it too!

Beautiful cottage in an ideal location to get out and about, Criccieth 5 minutes with dog friendly beach and nice chippy, Porthmadog 10 minutes, Abersoch 30 minutes. The cottage itself has everything you need (could do with some tall tumbler glasses) and is very well appointed. Lovely views from the conservatory. Enclosed garden so the dogs were safe, also there is a 18″ railing around the garden which we were glad of as we didn’t want our dogs jumping the wall into the field of cattle. Would defo recommend.

We chose Eiddior to take our parents away as our wedding gift to them. We all loved the location set in the country side with valley views all the way round. The home itself was beautifully presented and laid out. The perfect blend of a modern and a traditional home. The owners were more than friendly and approachable. They even offered to show our little 2 year old boy to see a baby cow that had recently been born. He even got to sit in the tractor – which we couldn’t get him off! 😂 he will always remember this trip thanks to that kind gesture. Will 100% recommend this home and Dioni.
