Romantic One Bedroom Cottage Walking Distance From The Beach | Felin-Pennarth

Felin-Pennarth is a romantic one bedroom cottage walking distance from the beach. The elevated outside space, giving you seclusion and incredible views makes this a very unique property where you feel you have got away from it all.

This property is great. Up a flight of stairs, it’s a loft conversion in the eaves. The Kitchen dinner and sitting room are all located in a galley like room and with a modern conversion and accompanying furniture it feels light and airy.

The sitting room section is carpeted with comfy seating and a wooden table which links well with the exposed beams above. The dining section again brings in the wooden furniture and the kitchen is modern with stainless steel units.

The bedroom is home to a double bed and links in well with the rest of the cottage with modern pieces of furniture but with a slightly warmer colour palette; the ensuite bathroom has a shower, WC and washbasin; white tiles and chrome finishes throughout.

The show stopper of this cottage is the balcony that leads out from the sitting room. Raised high above ground, you feel like you are a million miles from everywhere. It is just beautiful. Sitting here and having your morning coffee or evening drink could not be better.

Location

Felin-Pennarth is located in the village of Aberdesach at the base of the Llyn Peninsula in rural North Wales. The village boasts a beautiful beach with an iconic view of the Yr-Eifl mountains just south of Dinas Dinlle. This particular area is steeped in the legends of the Welsh folklore tales of the Mabinogion and is thought to be the location of the story of Dylan.

Pwllheli, some 10 minutes to the south, has a lovely marina and a selection of shops, cafes and pubs. They have a regular market by the harbour and the new sailing and events centre, Plas Heli, is a great place if you are interested in learning to sail.

Caernarfon to the north is home to the famous castle of course. The Galeri theatre is worth checking out and Pant Du vineyard is a great place to go for a bit of wine tasting. Childrens activities, including Gypsy Wood and Greenwood, are just a short drive away and are fantastic days out.

We have had a lovely week at Felin Pennarth, despite the very wet weather. We managed a couple of hours sitting on the decking in the sunshineā€¦..with a lovely peaceful view.
The cottage itself was very clean, comfortable and warm (without any heating).
Gareth was the perfect host and we enjoyed the company of his gorgeous cattle too. Each morning they were there when we opened the curtains but also very well trained to stay quiet while we had a little lie in!
Thank you to all concerned.

Had a great week at Felin Pennarth, we were very lucky to have a great week with the weather, bright sunshine every day but one which makes all the difference.

Cottage is really good and perfect for two, the outside balcony when the weather is good is a real bonus and catches the sun all day, the layout of the cottage we liked and is of a high standard and everything you need is provided.
Cottage is on a working farm which we found to be peaceful and quiet, with countryside all around and a 10 minute walk to the sea, it is also well positioned for trips out to Snowdonia, Anglesey and the Llyn peninsula.

Gareth the owner, who by the way is a lovely chap, was a mind of information regards the farm, local history and also of places of interest, took his advice on a number of occasions of places to see and was never disappointed.

We will definitely return in the near future.

Another lovely week at this cottage. Tide was in at Dinas Dinlle so parked near the airport and walked north over the dunes to the fort. Got lost via satnav on tiny roads on Anglesey. Great to catch up with Gareth again.
Cottage great and location to nearby beach ideal.
Will be back.

We had a great stay in this lovely cottage, it was very clean and in good decoration. The host Gareth was really friendly and greeted us on our arrival to explain everything about the area and places to visit, dog walks etcā€¦. we chatted with him most days around the farm. The area was lovely and peaceful with lovely views from the balcony deck over fields hills and even a sea view to the side of the cottage, when watching tv we often found ourselves looking out of the side window at the wonderful sunset (when it was out). Would love to visit again when we are in the area.

Had a wonderful holiday at Felin-Penarth. The accommodation is excellent and has an amazing scenic balcony overlooking the beautiful countryside. After seeing the BBC program on the pilgrims walk on the coastal path with Michaela Strachen and company we visited the local church in Clynnog-Fawr ( 15 mins walk away). Later on booked the boat to Bardsley Island and was lucky enough to be able to cross the two mile stretch of water to visit the island seeing puffins, razorbills, choughs and seals around the harbour.

Stayed before 3 times so chose again for our last minute short break, perfectšŸ‘Œ.
Easy to book, cottage clean and tidy as usual.
Great position for either a short walk to local Aberdesach Beach or short drive to many more lovely places. Thank you Gareth for this little gem.

We booked a last minute stay over New Year for 3 nights. We arrived in pitch black high winds but the sat nav and directions lead us to the front door perfectly. Once inside we were impressed with how lovely, clean and warm the cottage was.

Couldnā€™t fault the stay at all, even being on a working farm there was no noise at all. Would recommend this cottage and will definitely be back!

2nd visit within 2 months for another enjoyable & restful break at Felin-Pennarth. Host Gareth made sure we were settled in and gave us a few tips on local sights to visit.
Found plenty of lovely coastal walks and good dog friendly cafes and beaches to visit within a 30 minute drive also a local beach within 6 minute walk.
Cottage clean and tidy with a nice welcome pack. Would highly recommend for a short break in beautiful quiet surroundings.
Thank you again Gareth & Dioni Holidays
