For a wonderful rural retreat near the coast, look no further than this fabulous three bedroom farmhouse with sea views from the hot tub, located close to Tywyn in Bae Ceredigion (Cardigan Bay). Sleeping six in total, this renovated farmhouse is a detached property with plenty of outdoor space and perfect for a large group or family.

The main door of the property is accessed via the front decked area, where a porch leads into a large hallway featuring doors either side into the living spaces of Fron-Newydd. To the right, a warm and inviting lounge area has walls finished in a pale turquoise, and the decor of the room has a distinctively coastal theme. Light driftwood styled distressed wooden furniture is complemented by nautical rope chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, as well as coastal artwork on the walls. A Smart TV is located in the corner and a large corner sofa is situated to the opposite side of the room, facing a warm log burner. Twinkling fairy lights follow the perimeter of the ceiling and an additional lantern hangs in the corner, offering soft light options for cosy evenings in.

Across the hallway, a gorgeous kitchen diner is the perfect spot to cook up a fabulous meal and catch up at the dinner table. This spacious room, with a wood strip flooring and muted neutral decoration, is bright and airy with French doors opening out onto the deck and large windows along the side aspect. Either side of the French doors, comfy leather armchairs are the perfect spot to relax, or to watch the wall mounted TV. To the centre of the space, a stylish chunky wooden dining table is surrounded by six high back wood and leather chairs. It's a wonderful spot to gather for breakfast or dinner, making plans or catching up on the day's adventures. Traditional country cottage kitchen units are located to the far end of the room, finished in a cream colour with wooden worktops and a white ceramic Belfast sink. A doorway from the kitchen leads to an under stairs cupboard housing the fridge freezer. Beyond the kitchen area, a stable door leads through to a handy utility room and Fron-Newydd's ground floor shower room. This bright space includes a large walk-in shower cubicle with a rainforest shower head, along with a WC and basin, with a mirrored storage cupboard over.

Heading up to the first floor of this three bedroom farmhouse with sea views from the hot tub, the layout comprises two double bedrooms, a twin room and family bathroom. The master bedroom is a beautiful and spacious room with the bed positioned centrally against a rustic wood panelled feature wall, with built in bedside tables and modern nautical lamps to either side. Decorated in neutral colours, the room is warm and cosy and a large wardrobe and chest of drawers allow plenty of space for clothes storage. The second double room is finished in a similar style, albeit with a bright and vibrant blue wall finish. The coastal theme is yet again present in the fixtures and fittings, with a ships wheel and nautical rope themed feature light and wall mirror. A chest of drawers completes the layout of this striking space.

The third and final bedroom, a twin room, follows a similar theme to the other two with the wood panelled walls and nautical fixtures and fitting. This room, however, is decorated in a softer muted green, with the addition of animal print throws on the single beds. With less room for additional furniture, there is a handy bank of open wall shelves suitable for clothing storage. Completing the first floor layout, a spacious bathroom includes a corner shower cubicle with rainforest shower head, as well as a beautiful freestanding roll top bathtub, perfect for guests who prefer a long hot soak after a day out exploring.

With huge amounts of outdoor space, Fron-Newydd is a great spot for guests who want a rural location with plenty of privacy. Although there are stables to the rear of the property, these are only in use when the owners are staying at the property. The front of the house has a huge expanse of lawn beyond a raised deck which is home to an outdoor dining table, alongside a fantastic hot tub which overlooks the nearby Afon Dysynni. This south facing outdoor space is wonderful on those balmy summer days to soak up the Welsh sunshine, or to spend an evening in the hot tub watching a beautiful sunset over Bae Ceredigion.

Location

With a coastal location near the seaside town of Tywyn, there is plenty of beautiful countryside and coastline to explore, along with some fantastic attractions. This area of Southern Eryri (Snowdonia), while generally quieter than the honeypot areas in the heart of the national park, still offers wonderful scenery that is calling out to be explored. Roughly halfway between Barmouth and Aberystwyth, the pretty town of Tywyn features a long promenade on a lovely stretch of coast, and is also the starting point for the Talyllyn Railway - a fabulous historic railway experience that heads into the heart of southern Snowdonia. Known as the 'Railway with the heart of gold', this line opened in the 1860's and is the first preserved railway in the world. Running heritage steam trains, the return journey heads inland with numerous stops along the way and is packed with beautiful scenery.

Looking for a day out on the beach while staying at this three bedroom farmhouse with sea views from the hot tub? Aberdyfi, a picturesque coastal village slightly south of Tywyn, can be accessed within 15 minutes by car from Fron-Newydd. With a beautiful and long expanse of sandy beach backed by sand dunes, it's a fabulous spot for a summer's day out or a brisk coastal winter walk. The harbour features a lovely jetty, perfect for crab fishing, and there are plenty of water sports available in season. For hikers looking to get out into the mountains, Cader Idris and the surrounding peaks offer fabulous hikes ranging from gentle to strenuous, depending on the route. Whichever route you take, you can be guaranteed of stunning scenery and fabulous views of the coastline from the higher elevations.

Our family (6 adults &1 baby) had a wonderful time staying at Fron-Newydd. It’s a beautiful house with everything we needed for our stay, very cosy and comfortable. The views from the house are stunning especially from the hot tub which is an amazing addition to be able to enjoy even at the end of October. Thank you

The house and location were absolutely beautiful and there were lots of extras provided. The hot tub was a bonus and was really easy to use with thorough instructions left for use. There were a few negatives, which could easily be rectified with a little bit of attention, though these did not ruin our holiday. Overall, the house gave the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, but towns and things to do were easily accessible so we were never bored.
