Large Converted Barn Near Abersoch | Gadlas-Sarn

This large converted barn near Abersoch offers accommodation for up to 14 guests in a beautiful country setting. Luxurious décor, a huge garden and only 5 minutes from the beach make Gadlas-Sarn perfect venue for those family get-togethers.

A huge kitchen diner is the natural hub of the home. A long solid wood dining table runs along one side of the room surrounded by traditional country style chairs and bathed in light from the French doors that lead out to the rear patio and garden. Long lengths of gorgeous granite top off the kitchen units on the other side of the room. Everything you need to prepare those large family meals is provided including two separate ovens, a large induction hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. (The washing machine and tumble dryer are housed in a separate area at the end of the corridor.)

From the kitchen diner we climb upstairs to get to the lounge in this property. Three sumptuous leather sofas all face onto a welcoming log fire. A large flat screen TV sits in the corner and the dormer windows provide a fantastic view over the gardens and the fields beyond.

There are five bedrooms in the cottage all together. Three are on the ground floor, two on this first floor. But lets go back to the ground floor bedrooms first. The first includes a super king sized bed which can be made up as a twin if preferred. An en-suite wet-room will make this the preferred rooms for many couples.

The other two ground floor bedrooms (up a small flight of 4 stairs) includes a family bedroom with a kingsize bed and an impressive and substantial set of bunk beds. The other bedroom is smaller but is beautifully decorated with a superking bed in a soft green pastel colour. Both these rooms share an adjoining family bathroom which includes a fancy steam shower cubicle. A private sauna is located on this floor too.

There are two more bedrooms upstairs. One double room with another en-suite wet-room, and one family room that includes a kingsize bed and two single beds. This family room has the added luxury of a large en-suite bathroom with a fantastic freestanding roll top bath. Both bedrooms have nice big windows that afford fantastic views across the surrounding countryside.

Location

With a large patio to the front and rear of the cottage, guests are spoilt for choice as to where to sit and relax when the sun comes out. A private lawned area is complimented by a much larger shared garden which is also used by the cottage next door. So large in fact that there’s room for a complete football pitch as well as a climbing frame and trampoline. A great opportunity for the kids especially to meet new people and make new friends hopefully.

Centrally placed on the Pen Llyn (Llyn Peninsula), within a 15 minute drive to Abersoch, Aberdaron, Nefyn you have beautiful, local beaches nearby as well as the hidden coves of Porth Dinllaen. Abersoch in particular is always very busy during the summer months, but the quieter neighbouring villages like Sarn Meyllteyrn where this cottage is located, have their own charm as well as providing that all essential pub within walking distance. The larger harbour town of Pwllheli with its shops and supermarket is some 20 minutes to the East.

As well as traditional activities such as walking, golf and pony trekking many adventure sports are becoming increasingly popular. Guests are also encouraged to bring their bikes so to explore the miles of quiet country lanes that crisscross this part of Wales.

What a fantastic time we had as a family, from the initial enquiry Louise and the team at Dioni made everything so simple, and Rhian the property owner was just amazing, from a lovely welcome hamper to popping in to say hi during our stay. 100% we will be returning

A 5* house. We went to celebrate my Father in laws 70th Birthday. It was a surprise birthday and Rhian was very accommodating to some of my request. We arrived at the property to freshly made cakes and a beautiful warm home decorated for the festive season.

Rhian came to make sure we had everything we needed. We explained how we’d left the snow behind for the weekend. It never snows here Rhian replied. We woke the following morning to a beautiful snowy scene and a funny text of Rhian, Reading ‘famous last words’.

We all felt very comfortable, dare I say at home.

Fabulous property would recommend for family/friends get togethers

Excellent!
Wonderful accommodation. Everything was pristine and very tastefully furnished.
Beds are the most comfortable we have slept in. The under floor heating keeps the place very cosy.
There was nothing this place lacked, a great deal of though has gone into what large parties need and we would return in a heart beat.
The welcome of cake and flowers were gratefully received along with a visit from the lovely owner.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful holiday destination. Brilliant for a family or friends get together. This was our second visit to Gadlas Sarn and we will definitely be returning. Superbly stocked kitchen, large lounge with log burner and very comfortable bedrooms all with an efficient source of central heating.
Awaiting us on our arrival was a delicious chocolate cake and fruit loaf, it wasn’t long before the kettle was on and we were enjoying our delightful afternoon tea round the kitchen dining table and the children were having fun in the large well equipped garden.
Once again we have had a long weekend stay at Gadlas Sarn making wonderful memories.

Lovely holiday and beautiful well kept house with amazing scenery. House needs an additional safety gate as we had to choose whether to put one at the top of stairs in the lounge or at the bottom in the kitchen diner
Our 4 year old fell from the top of the stairs and was very lucky to only sustain heavy bruising. He recovered and enjoyed his holiday

Wow! This is a beautiful holiday home and we would all recommend it. We arrived to flowers, cake and a spotlessly clean house.Rhian (the owner) was very helpful, she even came and showed us round the other property.Three family’s had ample space to enjoy the weekend from the huge gardens to the comfortable lounge. The Kitchen is well equipped with a great sized table too. Also the sauna is a great addition for adults. We are definitely hoping to return in the future. Thanks ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A stunning barn conversion in a beautiful setting, the owners have put a lot of thought into the needs of their guests, cooking for 12 every day was made easy in the well equipped kitchen.
The bedrooms are all furnished beautifully and the beds are extremely comfortable.
We had a fantastic stay and I would highly recommend this property.
If I had to make one criticism it would be that the bath towels could be bigger especially for those sharing the bathroom downstairs and having to walk back to their bedrooms. Investing in some bathsheets would be a good idea.
We will be back.
Ps. The chocolate and Barabrith cakes that where left for us by the owner where enjoyed by all, thank you. Xx
