We had a wonderful holiday staying at Glandwr cottage which is perfectly situated for walks, cycling or trips to the beach (the one near Harlech is particularly spectacular and almost deserted). The cottage is comfortable and cozy, well equipped and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is kept warm by an oil fired stove which also heats the water and there is a log burner in the lounge for those chilly evenings. The outside space is good too with a large garden, spacious patio, and a garden room. Highly recommended!

Staying at Glandwr Cottage feels like a vacation back in time. The atmosphere of this historical cottage with its beautiful garden is perfect. It is surrounded by a magic forest full of ferns and gurgling creeks. The traditional furnishings of the rooms and the watercolor paintings of Snowdonia harmoniously combine to produce a feeling of peace and seclusion. At the same time there are many beautiful destinations for a day trip. Coming from Germany we enjoyed cooking traditional pies in the great kitchen from Sarah Edingtons “Traditional Recipe Book” and having Tea and Cucumber Sandwiches in the lovely little garden pavillion. The two weeks were over too soon, and if possible we would return in some years for the complete holiday.

Glandwr is, without a shadow of doubt, the best holiday cottage we have stayed in!
The cottage, and gardens, are so picturesque & quaint, I could happily have moved in forever đ
Every room is equipped with all you could need & more.
The lovely welcome goodies are so generous & welcoming on arrival.
The location is idyllic, situated in beautiful woodlands, alongside the river.
The surrounding area is perfect for exploring fabulous beaches, awesome mountains, and lush green woodland & river walks.
There is an abundance of places to eat and shop within a short distance of the cottage, leaving you wanting for nothing!
This truly is a fabulous, comfortable, quiet place to stay. Thank you so much for an amazing week âşď¸

We had a really wonderful week at Glandwr Cottage. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and the kitchen has everything we needed, this really makes a difference so we didn’t have to go and buy the basics. On arrival there was some shortbread and a pint of milk, this was very much appreciated. The cottage is in such an idyllic spot, nestled in woodland and with the river just in front of the house, it also has the most beautiful wild enclosed garden, which was perfect for our dog, he loved it! I loved the little summerhouse, so peaceful to sit and listen to the sound of the river. There is also a great area at the back for a barbecue, kind of rough and ready but charming. There are loads of great walks from the cottage and beautiful beaches a short drive away, there are also a few pubs in the village, a bit of a walk away but doable. We fell in love with this place and really felt we were just getting settled before we had to leave, so we’ll definitely be back!

Two wonderful weeks for our familiy in a paradise like garden and in a very cosy and tidy welsh cottage! Just a great place to be. We would have loved to stay longer. It felt like home right from the beginning.
Our three kids and us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room, great surroundings and a lot to discover.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful cottage with us and for the warm welcome with fresh flowers.

It’s been years since we spent any quality time in North Wales. We’d been looking forward to a proper escape and we were not disappointed. Glandwr cottage is as quirky and comfortable as it is picturesque, perfectly located for a family or small group to enjoy the peace and quiet, as well as Llanbedr village, Shell Island dunes, Harlech with its castle and independent shops and eateries, Barmouth for all the fun of the seaside, wonderful walks at Nantcol waterfalls, and a bit of wild swimming in the high lakes. Snowdon too is also close at hand, although we didn’t venture there ourselves.
The cottage and garden are everything you could possibly ask for, well stocked and maintained, so cosy and peaceful with the river flowing by across the road, so beautiful that when asked by passing walkers if we were lucky enough to live here, we really regretted not being able to say yes.
Highly recommended, and we hope to return.

Beautiful location and a lovely cottage. Only small gripes are the erratic parking of the next door neighbour making it impossible to park in our two allocated spaces. Had to park vehicle further up road. Washing machine wasnât working and could do with more than 1 towel per person. Otherwise a lovely clean well presented cottage in an area we know well and never disappoints.

Had a wonderful week here, very peaceful location in the woods, but only 20 mins walk to the village shop and local pub and hotel. Many local walks (see notice board outside Victora Inn) and enjoyed visiting the waterfalls. We had a lovely cycle ride from Barmouth to Dolgellau, and a great day out in Harlech. Cottage very comfortable and wonderful garden to relax in. Hope to come again.

Fantastic property in gorgeous setting. Very spacious, clean and comfy cottage in lovely gardens. Excellent walks nearby and from the door through woodlands, and further afield to beach. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking and beds are very comfy. Very peaceful spot and would definitely book again if staying in the area.

We have just spent two wonderful weeks at Glandwr Cottage. We absolutely loved the quirkiness! Once the Rayburn was lit we were very cosy. The surroundings and the garden are beautiful . The kitchen is a real cookâs kitchen with everything you could possible need and you can store all your groceries in the pantry and the roomy fridge. The large bed was extremely comfortable and I loved going to sleep and waking up again to the sound of the river. The sitting room is so spacious and comfortable and how nice to have free logs for the woodburner. The welcome pack was very generous and arriving after a long journey to find the lights on and the table laid was very welcoming. There are wonderful walks straight from the cottage but it is in a great position for exploring the local area. The local beaches are absolutely wonderful and we took many dips in the sea ( quite bracing but so exhilarating). The lanes up to Nant Col and Cwm Bychan must be amongst the most scenic in Britain, there are not so many places which are so wild and unspoilt.
The shop in Llanbedr may be small but has all the essentials and a LOT more!
I could go on and on….. We will definitely return.

Great rural cottage with large wild garden. Perfect for a family of four and a dog or two. Large kitchen with table for 6. Owners take note; Cooker needs replacing. The temp settings have all rubbed off on the dials. Spacious lounge with beams and a cozy wood burner. Iâm 6â5â and had no issues with the ceiling height.
Large double bedroom but the second double is far too small.
Big, wild, enclosed garden. Safe for the dogs. Had no problems with the neighbour.
The cattle grid on the lane was loud but overall it was an enjoyable holiday.

A lovely cottage, where we enjoyed breakfasts in the patio, tea in the veranda and cosy evenings in the living room. Nice welcome food package! Very well situated, easy to get to most of the wonderfull places in North Wales. We had great walks around Barmouth and Croesor, climbed Snowdon and enjoyed a day at the beach at Hell’s Mouth.

Lovely cottage with spacious kitchen and living area and fabulous garden! We really appreciated the smart tv! It kept the kids happy as they were able to watch YouTube :-/
We ahad no problems with the neighbours dogs, we didn’t see them once. The only thing I would say and it probably would put me off staying longer, is the washing machine needs replacing asap or removing from the listing as having a washer. It smelt really awful and I was unable to wash our clothes. Other than that we really enjoyed the cottage. Thank you for our welcome treats.

Great place to stay. We stayed here while visiting family over Christmas.
A very cozy cottage with traditional features, very nice interior, comfy beds.
And a lovely and generous welcome pack which was much apprciated having flown in from LA and arriving with no supplies. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in Llanbedr for a few days.

The cottage is really well equipped, clean and spacious with a wonderful garden to play in. The location is excellent and we were able to explore in land and along the coast with ease and can recommend the waterfalls at the top of the hill.
And thanks for the welcome package, just what we needed after the long drive from Berkshire! We will definitely be returning!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful cottage and the garden was so pretty and safe to keep in the 2 dogs. Very well equipped although it took us a while to find the front door key. We had a gloriously sunny week and spent most outside. The neighbour opposite in the big house let us visit his garden…OMG!! I did however wish the one double room was bigger but cannot grumble for one week. Please try and ignore the neighbours dogs next door. We did have to tell passing traffic they are not our dogs as they sit in the middle of the road and may jump walls to soil the grass…i would definitely return to this beautiful cottage….thanks to the owner for a fab welcome food package…
