Farm Holiday Cottage On The Llyn Peninsula | Gorlan-Llangwnadl

Gorlan-Llangwnadl is a lovely two bedroom farm holiday cottage near Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula. One of three holiday cottages on the farm, it is perfect for a family get together. With its with high vaulted ceilings and mezzanine, it is an open space whilst retaining its homely feel making it a great getaway retreat.

You come through the patio doors into the open plan kitchen and sitting room. Well laid out, the room works well and the patio doors, skylight windows and underfloor heated slate floors give it an airy and bright feel – the big candle chandelier is a great addition.

The kitchen side has cream gloss units supported by that all important traditional farm house kitchen table and chairs whilst the sitting room side has two big plump leather sofas and wall mounted TV. Views of the sea from the 2 sets of patio doors add to the brightness of the room.

A cosy double bedroom is located on the ground floor to the left of the patio doors. The family bathroom which has a shower over bath set up is also on the ground floor. Upstairs brings you to an open mezzanine floor or ‘grog loft’ which is home to two single beds.

Outside there is a small but private and enclosed garden with seating to help you enjoy those morning coffees and evening drinks.

Location

The house is located just outside Tudweiliog near Nefyn. 15 mins drive from Abersoch and 10 mins from Aberdaron. On this side of the peninsula you are close to Porth Or (aka Whistling sands beach) and the famous Ty Coch Inn which has made it to one of the top 10 beach bars in the world!

Abersoch, 15 mins away, there is a good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops along with lots of watersports and of course Hell’s Mouth which is the surfing spot of the area. Aberdaron, 10 mins in the other direction is a lovely coastal village and is the nearest place to get all your local supplies and where you can get a boat over to the famous Bardsey Island. Again a couple of nice pubs and bakeries make this a lovely place to visit.

The Pen Llyn has a lot on offer with Glaslyn Parc where you can go wakeboarding, karting and bowling along with lots of other family activities. The Marina in Pwllheli is a great place for sailing.

Lovely remote location, super peaceful. Cosy cottage with bonus of enclosed garden. Great spot for exploring the full coastline with beautiful beaches.

Beautiful cottage. Really nicely decorated. We had 4 nights here with our two boys. The cottage is remote but it’s 10 mins into Aberdaron and 10 mins into Nefyn. Views were beautiful. We used it as a base to go walking and it was ideal. It was beautiful in the winter, it must be stunning in the summer. The underfloor heating kept us cosy and the appliances in the kitchen are all modern. Lots of thought has gone into this cottage to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Would visit again

We arrived after getting quite lost for the last 2 miles. I always thought I was good at reading a map – not this time!!!
There were three of us at the cottage. Through this crazy time of Covid, it was so good to be welcomed by how clean the cottage was. Thank you.
Lovely and warm, infact a little too warm sometimes with the underfloor heating.
Such a beautiful position, very quiet. amazing sunsets.
Unfortunately we did not get to meet Carol, but would like to say how tastefully the conversion of the property was. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.
Diolch.

had a nice stay at this cottage, its great if you just want a quite holiday as you have to drive to everywhere…the nearest supermarket is 40 minutes away in car, there is no shop near that you can walk to for a paper in the mornings, but all in all visited some lovely places and the views from the cottage are lovely.

Fantastic cottage in a great location, decorated and furnished to a high standard and had all the amenities that you could need.
The owner, Carol, was lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful.
Thank you for a fantastic stay, we just wished we could have stayed longer.

The cottage was just what we were looking for and exceeded our expectations.

This was a last minute booking, booked in the morning to arrive in the afternoon, and was dealt with very efficiently.

Thanks to everyone, especially Carol.
