Worth the trip up the hill as the views are stunning.
The cottage is beautiful with everything you need. Our two dogs loved the garden & running around the paddock.
Wonderful relaxing weekend

Beautiful cottage, has everything you need and then some. Peaceful location but also only a couple of miles to the town. Great base to explore what snowdonia has to offer.

The best cottage , we have ever stayed in . It was perfect, warm, comfortable beds, great shower, log burner , and so well equipment .
The views were lovely , my daughter was even, woken up by a sheep licking her bedroom window, the were chickens, ( which we were given half dozen eggs on our arrival ) a horse, Nell the sheep dog .
Sue and Iona were really friendly and welcoming ..
We stayed in most of the week as the weather was terrible due to a storm or two .
We did go to Bodnant gardens, beautiful and well worth a view. Dogs are only going to be aloud certain days soon, so check if you have dog .
Thank you

Our stay at Hafod y Coed was amazing. From the beautiful cottage, the idyllic setting and the wonderful owners Sue and Ioan. Sue was very helpful but not intrusive, was on hand should we have needed her, the bara brith and Welsh cakes were a welcome supprise and absolutely delicious. We would not hesitate to recommend staying there, it has beautifully renovated and the underfloor heating and log burner were just blissful. We hope to return in the summer when the weather is better and enjoy the lovely walks. However the wind and rain gave us the opportunity to enjoy the cottage.

Had a lovely relaxing week in Hafod Y Coed. The cottage had everything we needed and was warm to return to after our rainy days out. The log stove was very welcome on our arrival day, which was very wet and.blustery, but not needed for the rest of the week. A peaceful location, wonderful views and surrounded by sheep, hens and a few pigs. Within an hours drive to all the places we wanted to visit on the coast. Sue and Ioan are generous and welcoming hosts.

We had a lovely short break at Hafod Irwyd, such a peaceful location but still close to the amenities of Snowdonia. And that rare combination of being both luxurious and also pet friendly! We loved seeing life on the farm; feeding the pigs in the morning and seeing the lovely sheepdog Nel dashing about keeping an eye on everything, plus the fresh eggs and cakes 🙂 Definitely will return here next time we go back to North Wales.

I staid with my brother and my dog for 5 days in HAFOD-Y-COED. I have enjoyed this part of Wales on numerous occasions, though this cottage was by far the best I have rented. Perfect location, very clean with all amenities imaginable and the most welcoming hosts. In one word perfect. Thanks for making our stay special.

Had a wonderful 3 nights stay here last weekend. The welcome was superb with Sue providing Welsh cakes, Bara Brith and fresh eggs as well as cooking us a wonderful lamb joint – amazing. Can honestly say the cottage was the best we have ever stayed in – so warm and cosy but also very modern with superb décor. Very close to the town but far enough out for peace and quiet. Sue and Ioan were very friendly and nothing too much trouble for them . Will certainly be returning here again.

Wonderful cottage. The welsh cakes and bara brith made for an extra special welcome on a wet and windy evening! Sue couldn’t do enough to make our holiday special. We hope to return in the near future.

Just returned from an excellent holiday in Hafod Iwrch holiday cottage with our friends. Susan and Iona have thought of everything to make a perfect holiday for their guests. The cottage was spotlessly clean and inviting and cozy, with delicious bara brith and welsh cakes awaiting us on the table, together with free range eggs. They are very hospitable and helpful owners – nothing is too much trouble. Sue cooked us a beautiful leg of lamb one evening in her Aga, which contributed to a meal equal to a 4star Hotel. We had wall to wall sunshine, and sat each morning outside in the ‘sun trap’ to drink our coffee surrounded by beautiful countryside and peaceful sounds of the animals.
We’ve had 4 holidays this year, including one in Austria, but this beat them all. We shall return ……..

Only managed to grab a four-night break – unfortunately!!
The owners (Sue and Ioan)are very friendly and welcoming; the dog Nell is also very friendly.
What a cottage. Extremely well presented and wonderfully refurbished by the family. And what a location too; ideal base from which to explore this beautiful countryside.
Ticks all the boxes.
The welcome “treats” were much appreciated.

We have just returned from nine nights and were sad to leave this beautiful place, two weeks would have been just right.
Sue and Ioan are really lovely people and made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, a very sweet couple indeed.
The farm is off the beaten track, though only a few minutes drive from the main road, which gives you access to so many things. The views are outstanding and you can even see the mountains in the distance.
We visited Conwy, Ty Mawr, Barmouth, the White water rafting centre at Bala, Beddgelert, Porthmadog, Criccieth, Llanberis and the pass, all of which I can thoroughly recommend and none more then 30 to 40 or so minutes away, and most a lot closer.
Now on to the cottage itself, it is even nicer than the pictures, it is super cosy, warm, beautifully kitted out with everything you could possibly need. There is a nice fenced off garden at the back with seats and tables. The beds are really comfortable and the bathrooms really modern and well equipped.
Needless to say we will most definitely be staying there again.
Thank you to Sue and Iona and of course Nel their lovely dog.

This was our first holiday without our children since being married in 1983. It was great to get away from all the normal activities and to have such an enjoyable holiday, we have not been to any other holiday destination where the accommodation was so well planned and thought out. Everything had been thought of and even the family pets (although working ones) made us welcome. Well done and thank you for your welcome Sue, we will be planning to come back soon.

We had a brilliant time at the cottage. The place was nice and cosy with all our requirements taken care of. Home baked cakes, bara brith and the organic eggs and sausages were a bonus that went down quite well with the family.
My daughter loved waking up between the animals (not literally!) and we will definitely be coming ack to the cottage. Highly recommended for people interested in staying closer to nature in a friendly place!!

We had a fantastic holiday here and hope to return next summer. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we could have possibly needed and more. It was lovely to spend time in the countryside with beautiful scenery all around us. We had a very relaxing break here. Our son loved spending time on the farm and seeing all the animals, his highlight was befriending the farm cat and dog and seeing newborn piglets.

We had a wonderful stay at Hafod-Irwch. Sue and Ione made us feel very welcome and the cottage is perfect. The little touches such as tea/ coffee / sugar along with warm Welsh cakes, cake and fresh farm eggs when you arrive are so welcoming. Sue has thought of everything that you need to make your holiday perfect from the beautiful furnishings, modern kitchen through to the basket of logs for the woodturner and washing up liquid, dishcloth and dishwasher tablets. We enjoyed a fabulous joint of lamb from the farm on our last night which Sue kindly cooked for us whilst we were out for the day! What a treat. The cottage is set amid stunning countryside and its a perfect location for exploring the area where there are so many different sights and experiences to please all the family. We look forward to returning.

We had a great week at the cottage. Sue and Iona have done a fantastic job on the conversion, and are both very welcoming. Iona has a great knowledge of the area so if your walking consult him, he knows all the best bits! It’s very modern but has retained the traditional features you would expect in a Welsh cottage. Sue has added some lovely little touches which make it very homely. It’s very new and clean even though your on a farm as long as you leave your muddy boots or wellies outside. Every day new lambs arrived so lovely to see. We could have stayed forever. Hope to return later this year.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at the cottage. The owners were very welcoming and the cake, flowers and fresh eggs went down a treat. As this is on a working farm, the kids loved having the sheep appear right outside their bedroom window. The cottage is very cosy, and even without the log burner, still nice and warm. The decor is all new, very clean and nicely laid out. We will most certainly be returning in the summer.
