Surrounded by green fields and woodland, Hen Stabl is located on a family-run farm in the village of Llanrug. This two bedroom barn conversion in the heart of Eryri offers comfortable, contemporary accommodation for four guests and makes a great base from which to explore the wider area.

Once a working farm building, this lovely property has been renovated to a high standard and is laid out on one level with an open plan living space, two bedrooms and a bathroom.

The living area is an airy room with a high, vaulted ceiling and exposed rafters. With ample sofa space, a large smart TV and a fireplace with a woodburning stove, it’s the ideal space to gather in the evenings.

At the opposite end of the room is the kitchen, also spacious and well equipped with a cooker, microwave, four-slice toaster, full sized fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The dining table seats six, providing plenty of space for leisurely holiday breakfasts.

The master bedroom has a king size bed, and plenty of storage space with a large oak wardrobe and chest of drawers. Decorated in calming neutral shades with quality bed linen this room enjoys views over the garden. The second bedroom is a twin, also with ample storage and views over the garden.

The bathroom is yet another spacious room. Fully tiled, this wet room style bathroom boasts a walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead, as well as a large freestanding bath, washbasin and WC.

Located on a working farm in the village of Llanrug, this two bedroom barn conversion in the heart of Eryri enjoys a peaceful rural setting surrounded by green fields and woodland.

Llanrug makes a great base from which to explore the wider area, with a wide variety of activities and attractions nearby, so whether you’re looking for an action-packed adventure or a tranquil escape you’re sure to find something to suit.

Llanrug itself is a large village with a pub, the Glytwrog Inn, a butchers and a number of small shops. There are many public footpaths in and around the village offering walking routes with views of Eryri, including the Carneddau, Glyderau and the northwestern flank of the Yr Wyddfa Massif. The nearby River Seiont is a popular angling river.

A wider range of amenities can be found in the historic town of Caernarfon, just three miles away. This lovely town is known for its imposing castle which sits at the edge of the Menai Strait and dominates the town centre. As well as visiting the castle there are many shops, cafes and restaurants to choose from including the historic Black Boy Inn, and Scoops ice cream cafe on Palace Street. On rainy days catch a film at Galeri, head to the Beacon Climbing Centre to enjoy the climbing walls, bouldering areas and ‘Crazy Climb’, or take the short drive to Inigo Jones to visit the slate works. Younger children will enjoy a visit to nearby Greenwood Forest Park.

The charming village of Llanberis, nestled at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) is just 4.5 miles away, and is popular with outdoors enthusiasts with a variety of walking routes and watersports to choose from. Travel to the peak of Yr Wyddfa on the Snowdon Mountain Railway, or enjoy a delightful ride on the Llanberis Steam Railway which will take you on a five mile route along the shores of Llyn Padarn (Lake Padarn).

If you want to explore a little further it’s just a short drive over the bridge to Ynys Mon (Anglesey) where you’ll find Anglesey Sea Zoo, Plas Newydd, Halen Mon Visitor Centre, Beaumaris Castle and lots more.
