Located high up on the hills in Rhiw, Neigwl comfortably sleeps fourteen. Stunning views, beautiful interiors and attention to detail describe this large holiday cottage with a hot tub near Abersoch to a capital T. A spacious and modern renovation, this holiday cottage will be on your wish list.

You’ll come into the house through the main front door into an oak floored hall. To your left is one of two sitting rooms complete with big comfy leather sofas, flat screen TV and lovely navy coloured walls. Through this sitting room will bring you to the kitchen diner – the best room in the house! Great colour scheme, fantastic layout, plenty of room for fourteen and floor to ceiling glass doors so you can enjoy those views. Needless to say there is everything you will need to while you are on holiday here including two ovens and two dishwashers. The log burner adds that welcoming and warming touch. Back through to the hallway will bring you to the second sitting room; a similar setup as before but with a different colour scheme.

There is a family bedroom on the ground floor complete with patio doors and sea views. The room sleeps four with a double bed and a set of bunks. There is an ensuite bathroom with shower, WC and washbasin. Further along the hall is the first of three family shower rooms the house has to offer…. we love the boost buttons for the underfloor heating and radiators!

On the first floor, there is a twin room and three doubles. All have beautiful soft furnishings; the tonal colours make them warm and inviting. On this floor is a bathroom with a freestanding bath along with a shower room. Both have a WC and washbasin and are very spacious with high quality fittings.

The attic upstairs is home to a twin room and a shower room with WC and washbasin. There is also a small sitting room where you will find a sofa and TV.

There is a utility room with a washing machine and tumble drier at the back of the house.

The lovely patio and front lawn are great places to spend time outside – a real suntrap during the summer months. The games room in the converted garage houses a snooker table, ping pong and air hockey along with a floor to ceiling mural depicting a local shipwreck by a local artist.. every nook and cranny of this place has been thought out. The grand finale is the hot tub. This is an all singing, all dancing addition complete with automated cover – just turn the key and the whole thing lifts up. Turn on the lights (there is a disco mode if you want) and set the bubbles, sprays and everything else this has to offer… oh, have I mention the views yet?!

Location

The house is located in Rhiw which is a small village on the South West tip of the Pen Llyn (Llyn Peninsula), 15 mins drive from Abersoch and 10 mins from Aberdaron.

In Rhiw itself, there is a manor house (Plas Rhiw) dating back to the 10th Century which is now owned by the National Trust - the organic garden is the only one owned by the National Trust. Porth Ysgo is the local beach which is beautiful and secluded and has a waterfall that cascades onto the beach itself…

Aberdaron, 10 mins away is the nearest place to get all your local supplies and is a lovely coastal village and where you can get a boat over to the famous Bardsey Island. A couple of nice pubs and bakeries make this a lovely place to visit. Abersoch, 15 mins away is where you will find a good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops along with lots of watersports and of course Hell’s Mouth which is the surfing spot of the area. You can also take part in Marine Safari’s and fishing trips.

The Pen Llyn has a lot on offer with Glaslyn Parc where you can go wakeboarding, karting and bowling along with lots of other family activities. The Marina in Pwllheli is a great place for sailing and Plas Glyn Y Weddw is a fab art gallery situated just up from the beach in Llanbedrog.

What an absolutely gorgeous house and views to die for, we all loved our stay.
We were a very large family celebrating a special birthday and our stay was made perfect by this house, we all wanted to live here.
There was everything you needed in the kitchen and plenty of crockery and glassware, perfect for 14 people.
I cant fault anything and would love to return.
Thank you Carol for a perfect holiday ❤️ x

Absolutely fabulous house with the most spectacular views. We needed a large property so the family could all get together to celebrate a special birthday and this house ticked all the boxes. The kitchen was the star of the show and was the most perfect space for us all to be together. The hot tub was a definite hit with everyone too and was checked daily and once again you get to admire the amazing views from it. The only fault with the property was that we had to leave 😂, honestly one of the best holiday rentals I have stayed in. A truly 5 🌟 property.

An amazing house and a stunning location. Plenty of room for us all. The welcome basket was a lovely touch, the hot tub was lovely and kept very clean. The laundry room is excellent if you have dogs that are wet. The Games room was brilliant for the kids. Could not say anything bad about this place. Thank you.

We have just spent Christmas week in this wonderful house with spectacular views over the bay. The house was gorgeous, well set out, lovely furnishings and very spacious. There were 10 adults and 3 children and we all had plenty of room to come together as well as enjoying our own space. There were some lovely walks from the house and we also enjoyed a fabulous family meal in Abersoch which was only a 10 minute drive away. The games room and hot tub gave us plenty to do, even in bad weather and the log burner between the kitchen and living room made a large house very cosy in the evenings.
The beds and bedding were very comfortable and the bath and shower rooms were of a high standard. The Christmas tree and decorations were all provided which were very welcoming and the property was dog friendly.
Carol was on hand if needed but everything was provided and we had no issues. Would definitely go back!

Our family of 8 adults, 1 teenager, 5 children and 1 baby have just returned from a week’s half term holiday in this wonderful house with spectacular views. It was outstanding! The children enjoyed the games room and hot tub so were never bored. More than anything they enjoy being together so this venue was perfect for our celebrations! Thank you Carol for our warm welcome, dog walking advice and goodies on arrival.

Family (all adults) have had a fantastic stay for 4 nights at this lovely holiday home with sea and mountain views that take your breath away. Looked at Snowdon in distance and then climbed it. Sun came out, clouds hovered and a few showers did not spoil our trip. Aberdaron and Abersoch beaches are lovely sandy and quiet. Loads of space and well equipped home. Enjoyed the hot tub and games room. Ollie our Collie dog felt so at home admiring the open spaces and views, aswell as the coast path walk on the doorstep. A nice circular walk about 40 minutes recommended by host Carol. Delicious luxury welcome cake tray kept us in treats all week. This holiday home has set the highest of standards for any future holidays. This was my second holiday with Dioni. My third is in August with the grand children, in Abersoch. So looking forward to that. A big thank you for a Fab time.
