Set off a beautiful 1 mile, tree lined drive leading up to the hills, this farm holiday cottage with uninterrupted sea views is a beautiful stone barn conversion with everything you need for a great holiday. The location is really special and the views need to be seen to be believed.

Set on one floor, all the rooms come off a central corridor that runs along the length of the cottage with the kitchen at one end and the sitting room at the other. The large kitchen is the hub of the cottage; everything you would need is here along with new appliances. The all-oak units give it a homely feel and the solid dining table and chairs are the perfect addition for getting everyone together for meals.

The conservatory that leads off from the kitchen has the showstopper views and most certainly where you will find yourself with a gin and tonic in hand for an evening of taking in the sunsets.

There are two bedrooms; one double and a twin. Both rooms have been stylishly decorated and the blankets and cushions add to the cosy feel. The views from both rooms are incredible; waking up to the view of the sea is pretty idyllic. There is one bathroom which has a shower over bath set up.

The outside space as you will imagine does not disappoint, lots of open space along with an enclosed, raised patio area where you can sit out and eat alfresco, or just sit and take in the calm and tranquillity.

Location

The cottage is situated just on the outskirts of Dyffryn Ardudwy. As it is located on the drive towards Gor Y Gedol Hall, it means that its position has the most incredible views of the sea and the mountains as a backdrop. The actual property itself has its own very well kept lawn with outside seating so you really can take advantage of its position.

Dyffryn Ardudwy is a large village and has a spar which is also home to an award winning butchers. A pub and garage are also here.

15 minutes south will bring you to Barmouth. The quintessential seaside town where you will find a great variety of bars, restaurants, cafes and shops along with a harbour, the beach, a funfair and all the paraphernalia that comes with a seaside town. A good place to mention is Norbar which is only a 10 minutes drive from the house and a great place for eating.

15 minutes to the north is the smaller town of Harlech where we have the castle along with a good selection of cafes and shops - again a great beach here along with a swimming pool, climbing wall and the famous Royal St Davids Golf Course.

You are also very well placed to explore the other great towns and villages in Eryri (Snowdonia) and the Pen Llyn (Llyn Peninsula). Llanberis is home to the National Slate Museum, Beddgelert has some lovely cafes and gift shops, and Betws Y Coed is home to the famous Swallow Waterfalls. Activities like Zip World are within an hours drive. There are also plenty of watersports available to take part in on the lakes and beaches along with the obvious walking and cycling opportunities available here.

Such a wonderful cottage in a superb location. Within a short drive of the beach and the hills inland.
It was fantastically clean and tidy and incredibly well-equipped for a holiday cottage. The kitchen had everything you would need if you were actually living there, let alone just staying. Having stayed in many holiday cottages in the past where essentials such as oven gloves and baking trays have been missing, this was great.
The sea view from the conservatory was brilliant and I imagine in the summer, it would be absolutely stunning. The log burner was ready-made with kindling and logs for us and every single thing we needed was available. There was a utility room with a big fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, which would be great for someone staying for a week or more.
The owners were lovely and gave us a quick knock to say hello one of the days, but left us to it otherwise.
Highly recommend this immaculate, well-located barn conversion.

Beautiful comfortable cottage with plenty of places to visit nearby. Some great walks from the doorstep and views of the sea from every window. Wouldn’t hesitate to come again!

Fantastic place, beautiful setting and views . We had an excellent week there, Sian was very welcoming and on a arrival there were flowers, wine and welcome pack. Highly recommended as everything is to a high standard.

What a lovely cottage beautifully presented with every thing we needed and more, all the cutlery pots and pans, and crockery were of a good quality. The thing that impressed mostly apart from the fantastic outlook was the cleanliness of the property, top to bottom spick and span with coffee tea and milk, flowers and a welcome bottle of wine. Sian introduced herself and was perfectly charming, if we go to that area again we will use that cottage again without doubt.

Spotlessly clean, incredibly well equipped and comfortable. We really couldn’t find any negatives while staying here. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely LOVE this cottage. We will definitely be staying here again. The owner Sian was lovely and super welcoming. We were so lucky to have loads of tiny lambs on the field right in front of us which were adorable to watch. We spent every evening relaxing with a glass of wine in the amazing conservatory – the views are to die for – followed by a fab log burner fire in the toasty lounge. We had awful weather but even despite the weather, we had a brilliant holiday and can’t wait to go back. Cottage has everything you could need and was the perfect size for our family of 4. So pleased we found it.
