The house is an elegant Grade II listed Georgian country home, about a mile and a half from the waterfront town of Beaumaris. It exudes a happy charm and charisma, and whilst it definitely qualifies as grand, it is a very much a house to be lived in and enjoyed.

Recently and skilfully renovated, it retains many of its original features, including wood panelling and floors, original fireplaces, and beautiful bay windows. It is stylishly presented, drawing on period furniture and contemporary design, and with a great selection of local paintings and wildlife prints on the walls.

The main sitting room is a real showstopper – a large, bright space with gorgeous plump sofas arranged around a wood burning stove, a large bay window and a beautiful grand piano. Bring someone who can play it. There is a separate snug sitting room, which is also a good size and comes with equally comfy sofas and a large smart TV.

You’ll find this beautiful manor house near Beaumaris on Anglesey just a few miles from some of the island’s most beautiful beaches, including Penmon Point and Traeth Fedw Fawr / White Beach.

The house is just a mile or so from Beaumaris. An elegant waterfront town with pastel coloured terraces and a mighty medieval castle, Beaumaris sits on the shores of the Menai Strait looking out towards the mighty mountains of Eryri. The location is quite simply stunning.

You’ll find plenty of fantastic places to eat on Anglesey, from fine dining at the award-winning Bull in Beaumaris, to rustic chic at The Marram Grass near Newborough, which is run by Great British Menu chef Ellis Barrie and his brother Liam. Dylan’s, in Menai Bridge, serves up delicious seafood and pizzas with spectacular views across the Menai Strait to the mountains of Eryri.

If you don’t know Anglesey already, you’re in for a treat. The largest island in Wales, it is just a short drive from the Welsh mainland, but a million miles away from the daily grind. If you have visited before, you’ll know that this magical place has one of the most beautiful coastlines in the UK, including 130 miles of coastal path. There are far too many stunning beaches on the island to name, but you can read about some of our favourites here.

Adventure seekers might also like to take a high-speed boat trip down the Menai Strait with Rib Ride, or a more sedate boat trip out to Puffin Island, which is visible off the coast from Penmon Point.

There are plenty of outdoor specialists offering activities like coasteering, kayaking, horse riding and gorge scrambling. And you’re just a short drive from the high speed thrills of Zip World at Bethesda.

Beyond the outdoor space at the cottage, younger families will love the rides and adventures at Greenwood Forest Park, and the butterflies, meerkats and assorted other animal friends at Anglesey’s Pili Palas.

We’ve just come back from a weekend celebrating my dad’s 80th birthday…this house was perfect for our family…stunning and would highly recommend.

We had THE BEST time here last weekend to celebrate 3 best friends from school turning 50. With 11 adults and 1 dog it felt spacious and super comfortable for sleeping, socialising, chilling and eating. I’d anticipated that if we had good weather (which we really did) that the group would be shouting for a beach day, and they had all voted to go out for dinner on the Sunday night, but everyone loved the house so much that we didn’t leave. We played rounders and boules on the front lawn and BBQ’d the night away in the sun trap at the back of the property. The group are still buzzing about it and thinking of excuses to go back! HIGHLY recommended!

This is an excellent house for a large family holiday.
Spacious and light / attractive rooms with fresh flowers everywhere. So much space that it was easy to lose track of where everyone was! Beds were comfortable and most of us slept well.
Very quiet rural area. Zero road noise. Lovely views of countryside and over the huge front lawn towards the Menai Straights and Snowdonia beyond.
Very convenient for Beaumaris and a good base for exploring Anglesey.
There were 10 of us but it could easily have slept 12. I’d love to come again one day.
