A fabulous property ideal for families, Tyn-y-Clawdd is a pet friendly cottage in Snowdonia with hot tub, located in a small village only a mile from the beach. Situated on the outskirts of the village of Coed Ystumgwern, south of Harlech, the property is the ideal hub from where to explore the coastline of Cardigan Bay and the Rhinog Mountains in southern Eryri (Snowdonia). Sleeping six people, Tyn-y-Clawdd is ideal for a larger family or a group of friends looking for a sociable break in this stunning part of North Wales.

Located on the A496 between Harlech and Barmouth, Tyn-y-Clawdd has ample private off road parking to the side of the property. The front door opens into a large open plan living space with a cosy lounge area to the left and a large dining area to the right, separated by the cottage's open staircase in the centre. The floor is laid with natural stone tiles throughout, and the plastered walls are finished in a light neutral colour, creating an airy space. The lounge area features two large grey leather sofa's set around a cosy log burner built into a beautiful inglenook surrounded with exposed stone walling and mantel above. An LED TV sits in the corner of the room alongside two sideboard units and wall shelving, housing some coastal decor pieces. Wrought iron and glass ceiling lights, as well as a tall floor lamp, provide warm and cosy lighting in the space. A curtain is fitted which can be pulled the entire length of the lounge area to separate from the dining area, if desired.

To the other side of the property, the dining area features a six seater farmhouse style dining table, alongside a bright futon sofa and comfy armchair. A doorway from the dining area leads through into a galley style kitchen to the rear of the cottage. The natural stone tiled floor continues throughout and the traditional style kitchen units to both sides are finished in white, with a dark granite effect worktop and mosaic splashback. Alongside ample storage space, the kitchen features an oven with gas hob over, fridge freezer, dishwasher, kettle and toaster. There is a washing machine and tumble drier, ideal for guests who are staying for longer. The exposed wooden ceiling beams add character to this part of the property. A door leads from the kitchen into the downstairs bathroom with walk in shower, WC and basin. The mosaic patterned tiles and stone flooring match the remainder of the ground floor.

The first floor of this pet friendly cottage in Snowdonia with hot tub, includes three bedrooms, sleeping six, and a second bathroom. The stunning bedrooms have high pitched ceilings with exposed beams. A configuration of a double room, a twin room and the third room with a set of bunk beds provides a versatile set up for groups as well as families. The main double bedroom to the front of the cottage is beautifully decorated with views out to sea. Oak floorboards contrast beautifully with a white wooden panelled wall to the rear of the double bed and bedside cabinets. A chest of drawers with TV and side chair sits opposite the double bed, providing plenty of storage alongside a large wardrobe. Soft furnishings and decor in the room are in shades of blue and along with blue glass table lamps and wall art, provide a nod to the coastal location of the cottage. The twin bedroom of the property, while compact, features two single beds, a bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and TV. There is an open wardrobe inset into the wall to maximise space. The third bedroom, featuring a set of bunk beds features the same style and decor of the other rooms. The upstairs bathroom, similarly to downstairs, is decorated with mosaic pattered wall tiles. The bathtub with wood panelling to the front has a shower over, alongside a WC and basin.

A major selling feature of this wonderful property is the outdoor space. A large enclosed private garden to the rear provides plenty of space to socialise outdoors after a day out exploring the area. A doorway from the kitchen leads to a sunny patio area with a small decked seating area. A separate section of the patio includes an outdoor dining table and four chairs. Steps lead up to a lawn area which includes a large sandpit - ideal for the kids to play while the parents relax on the patio. There are further picnic tables higher up in the garden, providing additional areas to relax. With no direct neighbours, the garden area is a private haven to relax, and if relaxing is your thing, a part enclosed space to the corner of the garden features a large and inviting hot tub. With a green net roof above the hot tub, it's the perfect spot to have a soak. The garden of Tyn-y-Clawdd also includes secure outdoor kennels for dogs, if required.

Beautiful cottage located on the main road between Barmouth and Harlech.
The rear garden is large, well maintained and perfect for sunny days when you just want to chill, use the BBQ and take in the wonderful views. Hot tub is lovely too.
Inside the cottage – 3 well presented bedrooms, tastefully decorated and with ample space for a family. Upstairs bathroom and downstairs shower room all clean and in good order.
The kitchen has plenty of storage and washing/drying facilities and the living dining room is comfortable and pleasant. The wood burner is a great touch for colder evenings.
The all-important WiFi (especially if you have kids) is excellent – we had numerous devices streaming Netflix etc. at times with no issues.
The owners were available to talk to if needed which is always handy, and they clearly care about the quality of your stay.
Would recommend.
