Yr-Hen-Ty-Coets is located in Talybont, a quaint village that offers both tranquility and convenience. Just a short walk from the cottage, you’ll find a friendly local pub, serving hearty meals and local ales in a cosy setting. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of Welsh village life without needing to drive.
For Beach lovers, Borth Beach and the Ynyslas Nature Reserve is a short drive away, offering wide sandy shores and a classic seaside atmosphere. Ideal for family outings or scenic walks along the coast.
10 minutes away is the University town of Aberystwyth also home to the National Library of Wales. Spend a leisurely day strolling the wide promenade, visiting the castle or taking a ride on the cliff railway to enjoy spectacular views of the town and the coastline. For a memorable day out jump on the scenic Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge railway, which runs from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge. On arrival walk to view the spectacular waterfall or simply enjoy the scenery with a coffee in the local pub/hotel.
A 20 minute car drive takes you to Bwlch Nant Yr Arian, a fantastic place for mountain biking, walking or simply watching the daily feeding of the Red Kites.
Under an hour away is the picturesque seaside town of Newquay. The Bottlenose Dolphins can regularly be seen swimming in the bay, or even better take a boat trip to see them closer and the full delights of the Cardigan Bay Marine Heritage Coast.
Golf enthusiasts will be well catered for as we are centrally located for you to enjoy 4 well established 18 hole courses.
