The music festival line up for North Wales 2015 is looking bigger and better than ever before. So if you’re into music festivals and want to get involved, here is a comprehensive guide as to whats happening this summer:


JUNE

GOTTWOOD, ELECTRONIC MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL

WHEN: 11th – 14th June
WHERE: Anglesey

WHAT’S IT ABOUT:
The mystical little party hidden in the middle of the woods. Gottwood is a critically acclaimed, independent, boutique, and intimate underground electronic music festival. Strictly for 18 and above.


JULY

WAKESTOCK
WHEN: 11th, 12th, 13th July
WHERE: Abersoch
WHAT’S IT ABOUT:
Wakestock is a music and wake boarding festival attracting the best wakeboarding talent in the world to this tiny corner of North Wales. The festival crowds enjoy watching the action during the daytime and enjoying some chill time on the stunning beaches before returning to the festival site for more music action with some of the UK’s top performing artists.

BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
WHEN: 12th – 15th July
WHERE: Conwy
WHAT’S IT ABOUT:
International Bluegrass Bands from America and Europe and British Bands play in 8 concerts over the 4 days. Workshops and tuition in Banjo, fiddle dobro, bass and guitar. 24 hour pickin sessions on festival site.

SESIWN FAWR – Cultural Folk Festival For The Family
WHEN: 17th, 18th, 19th July
WHERE: Dolgellau
WHAT’S IT ABOUT:
A folk festival for the whole family that is held every summer on the historic square of Dolgellau.


AUGUST

GLASS BUTTER BEACH
WHEN: 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th August
WHERE: Abersoch
WHAT’S IT ABOUT:
Incorporating surfing, wake boarding, S.U.P, skating and 5 stages of music, this is the ultimate beach culture festival.


SEPTEMBER

FESTIVAL NO 6
WHEN: 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th September
WHERE: Portmeirion
WHAT’S IT ABOUT:
No.6 is truly a festival like no other, and in just three years has cemented its position as the UKā€™s most unique music and arts festival. Hosting everything from intimate performances from iconic bands to engaging and enlightening talks, surreal street theatre to immersive interactive experiences, all woven together to create a magical festival experience like no other.
