Portaledging | The New And Unique Adventure Activity… 10% Discount

Published on 16 Oct 2014 by Gwion Llwyd

So I have been introduced to ‘portaledges’ this week. For those of you who are not in the know, they are platforms you suspend from the side of a cliff that can be slept on, sat on and eaten on. They are usually reserved for rock climbers who need somewhere to sleep and rest when they spend multiple days (and nights) climbing a big wall (can you imagine!)….

It’s all about ‘Portaledging’ these days and GAIA Adventures are the are the only people offering this unique experience to adventurous folks like you and me by introducing their ‘Afternoon On The Edge’ adventure. This is where you spend the afternoon on a portaledge suspended above the sea whilst the team cook up a meal and provide drinks while you chill out, taking in the view, savoring this incredibly unique experience. There is also a chance to do some easy climbing above the waves if you so wish. It may seem a bit out there, but that’s what they are doing and quite frankly, it looks awesome.

Off the back of years of mountain experience, Will and Sam have set up GAIA Adventures to educate all ages and abilities in mountaineering and climbing. What they offer is different to the other outdoor adventure companies in that they teach you the skill sets for climbing and mountaineering with the long term in mind. So if you are looking to hone your climbing skills or for more of a family bonding experience, these are the guys you want to get in contact with.

With any mid week booking made with GAIA between now and 31-01-15, all Dioni customers will receive a 10% discount and a free mug with a personalised image from your chosen activity.

Simply head over to the GAIA website and quote DIONI to get your discount and gift.
