Supporting local businesses is always high up on my list of priorities and you might be surprised by how much ‘local sparkle’ you can add to your Christmas offering. To give you a nudge in the right direction, here is our low down on how to shop local for Christmas Snowdonia style…


 

EXPERIENCES

Gifting someone an experience is great – the long lasting memories and serotonin high that comes with these far out weigh the quick dopamine rush from unwrapping a ‘material’ object. There is alot on offer in Snowdonia, so here are 5 of the best:

 

ZIP WORLD

PIECES FOR PLACES | BARMOUTH

Their smaller shop towards the bottom of the high street has good books and unusual gifts – an especially good place for men’s gifts that can be hard to come by. MORE INFO

On the Llyn Peninsula, this shop is based in a barn on a farm and has a fabulous selection of homeware, jewelery and accessories of all prices – really great items to be found here and there is a cafe on site to park your ‘other half’ while you have a browse! MORE INFO

It’s part of the furinture in Betws Y Coed – a mini department store based in the centre of the town that sells clothes, accessories, jewelery and things for the home. MORE INFO

SIOP IARD
