Swimming Snowdonia | Wild Swimming At Its Best
There has been a lot of coverage about wild swimming in the Snowdonia mountains of late, and the film Blue Hue produced by Natasha Brooks has certainly helped. The film was winner of the Women in Mountain Adventure film competition 2015, the Spirit Of Adventure film award 2015 and gained international recognition when selected for the Banff Mountain Film Festival tour 2016. We are very lucky here with so many beautiful swimming spots to choose from. Accomplishing a wild swim is invigorating, satisfying as well as peaceful and calming; I have never met a person yet who wishes they hadn’t done one! If entering into the realms of wild swimming peaks your interest, here are 5 top spots that will certainly give you a taster of wild swimming at its best: WATKINS PATH WATERFALL An extended series of pools and falls starting close to the Snowdon Watkins path. Wild Swimming Snowdonia Style….
Wild Swimming Snowdonia Style, not only enriches the soul and pushes you out of your comfort zone, but quite honestly its really good fun! Its exciting, its fun, its an adventure, its a challenge and…. its free… There are many ways to enjoy the pleasures of wild swimming; be it getting suited and booted for a 1 mile lake swim with a group, or, like me, grab your kids, the dog and a towel and go forth looking for the waterfalls and river pools for a quick dunk or a swim around if the temperature allows! Yes, it is usually a cold affair jumping into the pools, but that’s…
We’re very proud to add a new fantastic property to our website. Capel-Maentwrog is a converted 19th Century Calvinistic church. We can actually add the byline ‘as featured on tv’ to this. A welsh version of Grand Designs showed the property but it was only aired on S4C so you might have missed it if you’re on the wrong side of Offa’s Dyke. The Chapel has been converted into a 4 bedroom luxury holiday home. Complete with marble bathrooms and polished slate floors. Considering the luxurious interior and the great location, the price, especially during off peak times, is very reasonable. Have a look at let me know what you think. [Read more about this property..]
