Top 5 Farm Stay Holiday Cottages In North WalesPublished on 11 Mar 2016 by Gwion Llwyd
Spring has finally broken through after what can only be described as a very wet and cold Winter. In this neck of the woods, the arrival of Spring sees lots of daffodils and bluebells scattered everywhere and of course the gorgeous little lambs skipping across the fields. Personally, I think this is the best part of the farming year and getting involved with the lambing season is a lot of fun; especially for kids who love the chance to feed those lambs that are in need of a little extra helping hand. We have a number of cottages that are located on farms where the farmers are more than happy for you or your little ones to get involved. So if you are looking to get away this Easter with the family but haven’t book anywhere, you might be interested in one of our Top 5 farm stay holiday cottages in North Wales:
Hendy is a pet friendly self catering cottage on a farm, Shell Island. The farm owners Eirian and Iwan are really nice and live just a short walk away from the cottage. They’re more than happy, if time permits, to show their guests around the farm and to advise on the best places in the area to visit.
Faeldre offers some truly luxurious self catering accommodation on a working farm and only a short drive from the beach. The westernmost corner of this large and historic farmhouse has been recently renovated into a 3 bedroom holiday cottage.
This fantastic two bedroom barn conversion provides luxurious self catering accommodation on a welsh hill farm just outside Betws Y Coed in North Wales. The cottage is really stylish inside with all the mod cons you’d expect like under-floor heating and large flat screen TV. The location, high up on a hill overlooking a beautiful valley is the cherry on the cake.
This 3 bedroom traditional farmhouse offers picturesque holiday accommodation on a working farm on the beautiful Llyn Peninsula in North Wales. Panoramic views and a private hot tub as well as all the goings on the farm will make this cottage a firm favorite with a lot of our guests.
Nant, which means brook or spring in welsh and refers to the small brook that runs past this cottage, is a two bedroom self catering barn conversion in Dyffryn Ardudwy. Its difficult for me to be objective when describing Nant as its the larger of the two self catering cottages that we let out ourselves here on the farm. But I hope you’ll agree when I say they’re nicely furnished and decorated.
