Whether you are looking to go away as a family or getting together with other families for a week away in the mountains or by the sea, we have some really great places, perfect for creating those childhood memories that will last a lifetime. Here are our top 5 holiday cottages for half term | North Wales…

Luxury Farmhouse in Mountain Location | Cwmain

LUXURY FARMHOUSE IN MOUNTAIN LOCATION | CWMAIN

SLEEPS 10 | FARM STAY | WIFI | REAL FIRE
Cwmain is the quintessenial country getaway. A 5 bedroom farm house based on a working farm, it offers seclusion whilst being only 20 minutes away from Bala, a big market town. Its playroom is perfect for the kids to get away and do their thing whilst the rest of the house is spacious enough for you to enjoy big meals together and evenings as a group. Needless to say the outside space is perfect for everyone to enjoy the great outdoors.

Holiday Cottage On The Glaslyn River Near Beddgelert | Glaslyn-House

HOLIDAY COTTAGE ON THE GLASLYN RIVER NEAR BEDDGELERT | GLASLYN-HOUSE

SLEEPS 7 | WIFI | NEAR PUB | REAL FIRE
The location of this 4 bedroom holiday cottage is truly unique. Set within beautiful grounds with a private river bank on the Glaslyn river and its own wooded area, this really is Swallows and Amazons territory. The large kitchen and sitting room inside make this a really great place and being only a mile outside Beddgelert makes it perfectly located to explore the local area – they have the best ice cream at Glasyln Ices too which can be the reward for a walk into the village!

Large Self Catering Property In North Wales | The-Coach-House

LARGE SELF CATERING PROPERTY IN NORTH WALES | THE-COACH-HOUSE

SLEEPS 16 | WIFI | NEAR PUB | PET FRIENDLY | REAL FIRE
The Coach House is set in a country estate just outside Bala. If you like the idea of taking the kids away to a country retreat with lots of space inside and out then this is a really good call. The games room which has lots to entertain the kids including a full-size table tennis set will certainly be a place they will congregate. The tennis court and the option to fish are just perfect for the kids to enjoy without having to travel. Bala is only a 10 minute drive away and there you will find pubs, cafes and shops aswell as Llyn Tegid where there are lots of watersports on offer. A little further down the road is the National White Water Centre; the UK’s no 1 place for white water rafting.

North Wales Holiday Cottage With Sea Views | Tyn-Buarth

NORTH WALES HOLIDAY COTTAGE WITH SEA VIEWS | TYN-BUARTH

SLEEPS 6 | WIFI | NEAR BEACH | NEAR PUB
Tyn Buarth is close to the beach and so great if a few days by the seaside is what you are looking for. The 4 bedroom house is beautifully done with a modern feel and everything you could need for a week away including a lovely garden. Its location is fantastic for smaller journeys to entertain kids. Barmouth is 10 minutes away and where you have a quintessential seaside town complete with a fairground, amusement arcades, fish and chips, icecream and a harbour for crabbing. 10 minutes North you have Harlech Castle if a little bit of culture is on your agenda.

Two Bedroom Holiday Cottage Walking Distance From the Beach | Beudy-Rowen

TWO BEDROOM HOLIDAY COTTAGE WALKING DISTANCE FROM THE BEACH | BEUDY-BENNAR-ISA

SLEEPS 4 | FARM STAY | WIFI | NEAR BEACH | NEAR PUB | REAL FIRE
If you are looking for a smaller family getaway then Beudy Bennar Isa is just the place. It is walking distance from the beach set on a farm – truly idyllic and great for younger kids as everything to entertain them is on the door step. A cute stone cottage set by the beach with a real fire and outside patio. Barmouth again is only 10 minutes south for the traditional seaside town and Harlech 10 minutes north with the castle. For a fuss free holiday with younger children, this would be top of my list.
