About Skydiving Snowdonia

Skydiving Snowdonia is based at Llanbedr Airfield, located on the coast between Harlech and Barmouth in Bae Ceredigion. Formerly a military airfield, Llanbedr Airfield is now operated by Snowdonia Aerospace LLP and home to a number of private companies who offer aviation based experiences. With the stunning golden sandy beaches and rolling sand dunes of the Bae Ceredigion coast to one side and the mountains of Southern Snowdonia to the other, what better location could there be to get up in the air and take a better look? That’s if you’re brave enough to keep your eyes open.

The Skydiving Experience

Skydiving Snowdonia provides the opportunity for a range of Tandem Skydiving experiences, meaning that you’re strapped to an experienced instructor at all times during the dive. There are options of  7,000ft altitude dive or a 10,000ft skydive. Depending on your bravery levels, both of these experiences offer a different freefall experience. The 7,000ft dive provides a short ten second freefall before the parachute deploys, where the 10,000ft dive offers a hair raising thirty second freefall. That’s thirty seconds of plummeting towards earth at speeds of up to 125mph – a pure adrenalin rush for even the most hardcore of thrill seekers.

Following the parachute deployment, the canopy ride back down to the ground is about five minutes. The perfect opportunity to get your breath back, calm down and enjoy the spectacular Welsh scenery for miles around. Look out to sea across Bae Ceredigion towards the coast of the Llyn Peninsula and the peaks of Yr Eifl. Admire the many peaks of Eryri including Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) in the distance from this unique perspective. Whether youā€™re after an amazing adrenalin adventure, or looking to push your boundaries for a chosen charity, Skydiving Snowdonia provides the opportunity to do so.
