CHRISTMAS MARKETS 2017 | NORTH WALES
Published on 7 Nov 2017 by Gwion LlwydThere is nothing like a good Christmas market to get you into the swing of things for the festive season. Showcasing local arts and crafts they are always great places to pick up some out of the ordinary Christmas presents whilst sipping one or two mulled wines and eating mince pies! Here are the Christmas Markets 2017 not to be missed…
LLANDUDNO CHRISTMAS FAYRE
16 â 19 NOVEMBER 2017
Heralded as the âQueen of Welsh resortsâ Llandudno is the biggest Christmas market with over 165 stalls lining the town centre. It’s a Dickensian themed market which adds to the charm of the event and this year the World Bara Brith Championships will be held here!
PORTMIERION FOOD AND CRAFT FAIR
1 â 3 DECEMBER 2017
My personal favourite, set in the stunning Italianate village. Portmeirion hosts a range of exhibitors specialising in local produce, music and cooking demonstrations that will inspire your Christmas feast. Thereâll be more than 120 Welsh artisan stalls, a magical Christmas Grotto, a giant gingerbread village and an elf dash (a fun run for kidsâŚ).
CONWY’S WINTERFEST
9 DECEMBER 2017
The Winterfest starts things off with a grand parade through the town. Led by the townâs jester and followed by armoured knights carrying blazing torches it a real sight to behold. All the entertainment takes place in the town square and the shops stay open late for a bit of Christmas Shopping. Local pubs and restaurants will also be open on the evening for food and drinks.
SURF SNOWDONIA CHRISTMAS MARKET
9 â 11 DECEMBER 2017
Surf Snowdonia hosts the coolest of the Christmas markets! Expect high-quality stalls to get your Christmas gifts, festive grub, live music, Christmas bouncy castle, a visit from Father Christmas, Christmas arts & crafts AND we will have a drive-in cinema both days playing some of the very best Christmas Films! Free to attend, apart from the drive-in cinema, it’s going to be a good one. (Stalls open from 2:30pm â 8pm, bar open until 11pm.)
