Christmas Markets In North Wales | 2016

Published on 11 Nov 2016 by Gwion Llwyd

It’s hard to believe that we are only 6 weekends away from Christmas making it time to start putting things in the diary. In my experience, there is nothing better than a Christmas Market to get you into the spirit of things – with all that great food, mulled wine, local crafts and music, you cannot fail to get into the festive swing. Here are my Top Christmas Markets in North Wales | 2016:

LLANDUDNO CHRISTMAS FAYRE

17TH – 20TH NOVEMBER

With 165 stalls, this is one of the bigger markets . A Dickensian theme runs throughout the 4-day event held in this quintessential Victorian seaside town. Lots of local crafts, food and drink.

ABERSOCH CHRISTMAS FESTIVAL

25th – 26th NOVEMBER

This fair takes place throughout the village of Abersoch and has become quite a big event in the calendar. A very family orientated weekend makes this a really great event.

PORTMEIRION FOOD FAIR

2ND – 4TH DECEMBER

Celebrating Welsh produce, this is one of the best food fairs in the most beautiful of locations. Artisan stalls, celebrity chefs, Santa’s grotto, live music and more….. wat more can you ask for?!

SURF SNOWDONIA CHRISTMAS MARKET

10TH – 11TH DECEMBER

The coolest Christmas market this side of Lapland will be happening at Surf Snowdonia. Lots of high-quality stalls, real ale tent, acoustic music, DJ, festive foods, fair rides, carousel and of course FC will be putting in an appearance at his surf-side Santaā€™s grotto!

Oh and the date for the Coca Cola Truck Tour in North Wales is…. 29th November in Wrexham.
