The heart of the home is the inviting living room, where a Clearview wood-burning stove takes centre stage - perfect for those cosy evenings after a day of exploring. Oil central heating and designer radiators throughout ensure that every corner of the cottage is warm and welcoming. Adjacent to the living room is a spacious dining area with a large wooden table, ideal for gathering everyone together for meals or games. The newly renovated kitchen is a cook’s delight, featuring modern appliances, sleek cabinetry, and plenty of counter space.

Upstairs, you’ll find not only the serene bedrooms but also a study that offers a dedicated workspace with a desk, comfortable chair. It also has a futon that sleeps 2 additional guests. It’s a perfect spot for those who need to stay connected while enjoying the serenity of this beach front cottage in Llangrannog.

The bedrooms upstairs are thoughtfully designed for comfort. The master bedroom features a double bed, while the other rooms offer a mix of sleeping arrangements to suit your group’s needs. The newly updated bathrooms are modern and well-equipped, with one offering a luxurious bath and separate shower, while the downstairs wet room provides added convenience with its walk-in shower, sink, and WC.

The outdoor spaces at Aberafon are just as appealing as the interiors. Step out onto the patio overlooking the beach, or make your way up to the sun terrace, where simple seating invites you to relax and take in the stunning views. There is also private parking for 2 medium cars (which is rare in the village!) and also there is a free car park in the village. Please note this cottage may not be suitable for those with mobility issues with its quirky steps and tiered lay out.

For those who enjoy exploring, the Ceredigion Coast Path runs through Llangrannog, offering breathtaking coastal walks with opportunities to spot dolphins, seals, and a variety of seabirds. A short drive away, the seaside town of Cei Newydd (New Quay) offers boat trips for dolphin watching, adding an extra element of adventure to your stay. Inland, the nearby town of Ceredigion (Cardigan) boasts a historic castle, and the Teifi River provides beautiful spots for kayaking and fishing.

The area is rich in history and culture, with numerous sites to explore, including the Iron Age fort at Castell Henllys and the traditional Welsh village of Llandudoch (St. Dogmaels), home to a working watermill and a 12th-century abbey. Exceptional…ABERAFON is the ideal holiday home and in a wonderful location, sun, sea and sand. Located in a beautiful seaside area, that is just perfect for the kids, as the beach is manned by Lifeguards, so being able to relax, knowing they are safe, is a Godsend. The property is absolutely fabulous, and the owners are such lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble. The house is stunning, cannot wait to return next year!

We had a great stay with three adults, three teens and two five year olds. The location is perfect for the beach and the sleeping arrangements were great for us. The house had everything we needed.

Aberafon is in a perfect location, only a short stroll to the beach and to walks along the coastal path with a good pub and cafés close by.
Finding the beach sauna was a definite bonus!
The house itself is newly renovated, spotless and thoughtfully equipped throughout.
We particularly found the warm outside shower useful after swimming in the sea and having reserved parking was also great.

Top place. Our full house cohort ranged from two dogs, 8 year old up to 78 year old.
Everyone was very happy. We will definitely rebook. Absolutely perfect long weekend.
Gutted we had to leave. We drove in our EV and Osian and Llyr were super attentive which put our range anxiety right at ease. The afternoon sun on the terrace was perfect.
Location spot on. We’ve stayed many times in the village but this by far is the best cottage.

We loved our stay, the house was located in the most gorgeous village on the beach, very convenient, the house was so comfortable as well as the beds / pillows & the relaxing areas, we used the BBQ both nights of our stay on the terrace & had a great time with our extended family

A beautiful house in an idyllic location. It is clear the owners take great pride in presenting the cottage to an exceptional standard, whilst being a pleasure to deal with and providing us lots of information prior to our stay, wonderful communication from our host.

We stayed for four nights over Christmas and had such a wonderful time. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, and some lovely arrival gifts for humans and dogs, including dog towels and treats – most welcoming.

We went on some lovely walks along the coast line with magnificent views, whilst taking advantage of being situated on the beach. The locals were lovely and friendly and we enjoyed a lovely meal at the local pub on arrival.

Comfortably fitting 9 humans and our K-9 friends – lots of room for festive activities.

What a gem of a place in a prominent location right on the beach in Llangrannog.
We stayed for a long weekend, 6 adults and 2 children and had the most fantastic time away and the weather was 20’🏖️
Amazing outside areas with a BBQ overlooking the beach. 1pub, 1 shop, 1 pizza place and a cafe, Perfect! The 2 children didn’t want to leave and most of the adults! Will definitely be booking again.

What a week. One storm and one heatwave and to experience both Aberafon was the perfect house. With two small grandchildren its location – less than a hundred yards from Llangrannog beach – couldn’t have been better. The house has been refurbished to a very high standard. We loved the warm outdoor shower and the welcome pack was a lovely touch. A very well equipped kitchen and plenty of space to relax. If it’s all about location this house has it all.

We just had the most wonderful weekend at Aberafon to celebrate my birthday with friends. The location is idyllic, the beach is so close you can almost touch it. The village has everything you need, from the gorgeous beach, the village pub/restaurant, a fish & chip shop, convenience store, pizza take away, and an ice cream parlour… what more do you need to give you summer vibes. We even saw the dolphins pass by from the patio, beautiful! Now, to the house. It has been stunningly renovated and oozes charm & character, thoughtfully designed with lots of dining space, a cozy living area with log fire, a utility room, ground floor wetroom, first floor bathroom with a roll top slipper bath & shower, lovely size bedrooms,it even has an outside shower for your dog! On the elevated patio there is a bbq for you to enjoy the sunset overlooking the bay. The owners of this beautiful home have thought of everything to give their guests the most wonderful experience; plenty of crockery, two fridges, a freezer, ironing board, towels, everything that you could possibly need has been catered for. They so kindly left a bottle of prosecco with some fresh eggs & bara brith & welsh cakes as a welcoming gift which we all thought was just so lovely and thoughtful. We truly had the most memorable weekend to the point that we spent this morning, prior to leaving planning to do the same thing, the same time, next year. Thank you Aberafon for making my birthday so special and for allowing a group of busy people the time to relax and enjoy your gorgeous home. Whoever books this delight of a house will not be disappointed. So thank you from us all! Xx

Me and my family stayed here for 4 nights. It was amazing! The house is spacious and the location is in a dream spot, right on the beach. The scenery is beautiful , surrounded by cliffs where we went to hike everyday. The patio area overlooks the sea so you can have your dinner whilst taking in the amazing view. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The bedrooms are comfy and well designed. Would highly recommend this place, we normally take this kids to Barmouth, but this area has taken it to another level!

Beautiful house right next to the beach. Great location – only a few footsteps from the sand and less than 2mins to the village amenities (pub / cafes / shop). The house is spacious and has been thoughtfully renovated with good quality furniture and fittings. Nice to have private outdoor space – fully enclosed raised patio complete with bbq overlooking the bay, plus additional seating areas right outside the front of the house as well as higher up. Great to have private parking space for 2 cars, with EV charger too. Parking very limited in the village so this was a definite bonus! Excellent hosts who were very responsive to any questions or queries, from first contact when I enquired about the property right through until the day we left

We were thrilled to be the first guests at the beautiful Aberafon, the cottage does not disappoint, it has all the features of a cottage with the beautiful stone walls but it is decorated to the most highest standards! Everything was perfect and there was everything you could possibly need for your stay the owners had thoughtfully thought of everything! The doggy treats and blanket was a lovely touch. Just a stones throw away from the beautiful beach – our kids loved it. The handy outdoor warm shower was a big hit with my teenage son who used it all weekend instead of the inside shower! The patio area is so relaxing with those beautiful views. Our dog Chief loved to look out and greet the friendly passers by. The open plan living room is so relaxing and the bedrooms are so tastefully decorated. The village itself is lovely – the food at the nearby pub was delicious as well as the breakfast at the Beach Hut. The icecream and fresh cakes were a daily treat also! My husband loved the sauna on the beach front too! We came to Llangrannog because my son was staying at the Urdd with school and we needed to be close by for him. It was the perfect place for us. Thanks so much to Llyr and Rhiannon for opening up their holiday home to us. We had a truly memorable weekend and would highly recommend this place.
