Great holiday property – plenty of room to spread out, cracking sun trap in the front garden to watch the world go by. Sit and have a coffee looking through the bay windows to while away an hour or three. Great position on the front, no where is far away.
Well equipped kitchen with plenty of crockery and cutlery. Donât forget to take your dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. Heated clothes horse was a bonus. A first for a holiday cottage – enough toilet rolls!!!
As to be expected with a holiday cottage at the end of the summer, a few things are a little tired, a couple of bulbs need replacing, towels provided are for slim Jimâs lol, but hey – thatâs all minor. We had a great week and are looking forward to our next visit- thanks all.

Aberdyfi is a lovely place to stay! Had fantastic walk on the Wales Coast Path and surrounding count. Aweldyfi is a great base, central with fantastic views of the Dyfi Estuary. Warm and cosy and plenty of space for a group of 8 to eat, sleep and chill.

Had a great stay at this property on the 18.6.21 for a week. House was amazing full of character, stunning views and in walking distance to the pubs.
Loved the kitchen and spent the evening around kitchen island with the family.

Lovely comfortable warm house, great location, views, well equipped kitchen, good modern bathrooms, Bedroons clean and comfortable but most perhaps could do with a bit more TLC, as too the lounge area and outside seating or lack of as we had to sit on the wall and steps. Wouldnât put us off returning though.

We enjoyed a very happy week in Aweldyfi. The house is ideally situated for a family holiday, just a couple of minutes away from the beach and quayside. Sea views from all the rooms of the Aberdovey estuary are lovely and the house offers plenty of space. The small front garden is a real bonus ⌠an ideal spot for an evening drink and watching the tide ebb and flow.

This was our second visit to Awel Dyfi as a family and the holiday was enjoyed by all.
The house is very convenient and well equipped and the provision of a highchair made life easier.
The views from all the windows are superb and it was even good to watch the rain travelling towards us over the bay. The weather was mixed but the children (and some of the braver adults) swam in the sea daily.
Will probably be back in a year or two.

Stopped many times in Aberdovey when we were younger and love the location. The house was just perfect for our needs, great location and a lot of thought has gone into the tasteful renovation, the kitchen is fantastic and well equipped, and it was a very comfortable stay, will be going back and cant recommend it enough, many thanks!

What a great location for a break. Despite staying early in the season, the sun came out every day.The accommodation was fantastic – great views, and very comfortable. Like everyone else, we spent a lot of time looking out of the windows at the ever changing seascape. Aberdovey itself also proved to be a hit. We recommend the deli just along from the house for breakfast, and the Seabreeze Hotel for dinner. I suspect we will return!

This was our second visit of the year to Awel Dyfi, and a thoroughly good time was had on both occasions. The facilities and location were wonderful, and made for very restful breaks. We will return!
P.S The October weather was glorious!

As others have said, house is exactly as shown in the photos. You never get tired of waking up to the constantly changing views of the estuary, and having an incredible beach and seafront so close to the house is great for kids. The surrounding area offers enough to fill ten holidays – from incredible cycling, to walks, to steam railway after railway after railway. Already looking forward to returning.

The house is every bit as good as the pictures. We would recommend a trip to Machynlleth for the market and for window shopping. Views are fantastic and Aberdovey seems to have its own micro-climate and was sunny when the surrounding area was raining. A good starting point for a lot of walks and good train and bus links.

Wonderful property with what must be the best views of the estuary. It is very comfortable and extremely well equipped – the only very minor complaint was that we couldn’t locate any oven gloves! If we return for another holiday in this area we would definitely look to stay here again.

As a group of friends we were so comfortable at AwelDyfi that we have booked to return in October! Our holiday marked our return to Aberdovey after nearly ten years. We have always thought of it as a special place, but this was the first time that we have had accommodation with such tremendous views. The house was very well equipped and relaxing, we’re looking forward to October whatever the weather!

Aberdyfi is one of our favourite beach holiday resorts which we have been coming to for many years.Awel Dyfi is a fabulous holiday home in a super location overlooking the sea. The accomodation meets all our needs as a family of 8 and on our visit this year we were blessed with superb weather.Third week in April and we were in the sea -fantastic.
We will return and can highly recommend it as a great place to relax and get away from the hectic lives we lead ,albeit for too shorter time.

I came here to celebrate my birthday. We stayed for 4 nights and there were 4 generations of us, aged ranged from 6 to 77 years old. We all had a fantastic time and the accommodation was great. Location great, weather was not great but there was still lots to do. We would definitely recommend this place and can’t wait to return.

A beautiful house in a stunning location and we were blessed with sunshine for the whole week. When we weren’t relaxing in the house, which mostly meant sitting in one of the window seats watching the boats bobbing about in the harbour, we indulged in ice cream – cones of chips while walking on the beach – ice cream – crab fishing off the pier, oh and did I mention the ice cream. A thoroughly enjoyable & relaxing property that we are already planning our next visit to.

We have long loved Aberdovey and have been frequent visitors over the years, so we were very much looking forward to our stay at Awel Dyfi and we were not disappointed. As soon as we arrived we felt at home in this wonderful, spacious house. Its location on the seafront is perfect and waking up each morning to the stunning views of the estuary was a real treat. I have no hesitation in recommending this house and thank the owners for sharing. We are already making plans to return again next year.

It is all about the location and views from every room! Loved the house which was ideal for our extended family and new baby. From other reviews it would appear that the kitchen and bathrooms have recently been upgraded and whilst we loved the accommodation, living areas could also do with a little TLC! That said we will hopefully be back next year to enjoy the lovely Aberdovey!

Having stayed in a variety of properties in Aberdovey over the past 14 years, this property is simply magnificent. With all principle rooms of sitting room, dining area and all 4 bedrooms overlooking the sea, it is a delight. Further bonus is 3 showers which is wonderful in the mornings. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped. Location obviously perfection. A truly fabulous house for us 7 ladies.
Would just love use of the extensive garden we could see from the other road!
We will definitely be back next spring.

WOW – what a wonderful house!
WE booked this accomodation for our large family and had the most wonderful week.
The accomodation was perfect and so close to the sea….. each morning (and sometimes during the night) I just looked out of the windows to view the boats bobbing up and down.
Each of the spacious bedrooms had its own views of the harbour, decorated and furnished to a very high standard.
The yard at the rear was great for our locally coaught fish BBQ, the basket ball hoop ideal for teenage boys and overall the house had tonnes of character, it even had roses growing around the front window.
Several times we heard passers by comment on the house, some even stopped to take photos!
We hope to visit again and highly recomend this Holiday home…

Three generations; 6 adults, one 3 year old and two babies all catered for in this lovely house. To all have a stunning sea view was an unexpected bonus and that, combined with ample space and comfort, made for a delightful week.

What a find ! This house was perfect for what we needed – There were 7 adults in our party and ample rooms and space. A lovely welcome pack on arrival and what views from the windows. The kitchen had everything we needed although we ate out most of the time in the lovely cafes and restaurants. We have already talked about returning next year.

We have had a fantastic stay at Aweldyfi. The views were very impressive from every room, and sat in the window with a glass of Muscadet and a selection of cheeses from the local deli, made for a very relaxing time. The kids loved the beach, even in November! Sam (10), Phoebe (8) and Libby (2) have had a ball and loved having a room each. The fish from the chippy was excellent, and we also took the kids to the Dovey Inn. Days out to Dolgoch Falls, King Arthurs Labyrinth and Harlech Castle were all enjoyed by all. For me personally, the bis surprise was just how beautiful Snowdonia was, particulalrly with all the trees changing colour at this time of year. All in all, a brilliant stay.

This house is definately a little piece of paradise! The views of the harbor from every room are exceptional. We enjoyed the front yard on nice days and the views from the house when it was too cool or rainy to be outside. The house is very comfortable and well appointed and Keith was very helpful, stopping by to help when we had trouble lighting the fire. Aberdovey is a wonderful town and we enjoyed the pleasure of walking to the grocery and butcher shop. It was a great base for exploring the surrounding areas which are simply stunning in their beauty. I would highly recommend this house and hope that I am fortunate enough to return some day.

Wonderful large, light, well appointed house in fabulous place, perfect for 3 generations of our family to enjoy a lovely family holiday this summer. One person described sitting looking out of the front windows as ‘like being on board a ship, you only see the water and sky and hills in front of you’.
This lovely house is very well appointed. In additions to everything else on the details, it even has a good sized outside ‘yard’ area with large table and chairs, and a basketball hoop – our 12 year old honed his skills happily on our quiet days đ
Aberdovey is simply lovely for a peaceful, restoring, restful and happy family holiday, and this fabulous house is ideal. We’ll be back again next year.

Myself and friends arrived and as promised the house is right on the front, in fact when you are in the dining room/living room, you can only sea the sea. What a fab house, perfect for two families, the adults had the two rooms with en-suite, they were so light & airy and once again fab views to sea, two minuets walk to the beach/shops.
Would highley recommend.
It delivers all it says in the advert, thanks very much.

As soon as we walked through the door we thanked God that we had found such a lovely house! With Imogen (4.5) and Harry (3 months) we prayed for space, warmth, comfort, a convenient location and a view to die for. We got all this and more!

All of our needs were catered for, even down to the little touches like stair gates and plug socket covers, which, for a group including a baby and two toddlers were very much appreciated. We wouldn’t hesitiate in recommending the house and location and will definately come back.

The location is , of course, perfect. So wonderful to wake up to that view – or even relax during the day, watching the tides ebb and flow. We are reluctant to tell too many people about this gem as we will be hoping to return – don’t want too much competition.
