Romantic One Bedroom Holiday Cottage With Panoramic Views | Bryn-Awel

Bryn-Awel is a romantic one bedroom holiday cottage with panoramic views. Set on the slopes of a beautiful valley near Bala, the perfect holiday hideaway.

The cottage itself is a cute traditional stone building, painted white giving it that quaint feel. Whilst it is set in its own private grounds, the land beyond the cottage boundaries is expansive and simply breathtaking. A very unique setting and totally romantic!

It’s a simple layout where the upstairs is taken up entirely by the bedroom - beautiful whitewashed walls, exposed beams and original wooden floorboards combined with simple and traditional furniture - a large brass bed takes centre stage with oak drawers etc. It’s a very light and airy room so will certainly give you the environment to relax and sleep. There is no bathroom up here - this is found downstairs along with the sitting room and kitchen.

Downstairs, the sitting room is just what you would want and expect from a cosy romantic cottage. A log burner set in a large inglenook fireplace along with really inviting sofas that you can sit back and take in the incredible views that the sitting room windows offer. A round table and chairs are also here so you can enjoy your breakfast and dinner in this lovely room.

The galley kitchen is a simple layout but everything you will need is there for cooking during your stay - cream units with marble tops give it a lovely country feel. There is a washer dryer here too. The bathroom is also located off the sitting room with a shower, loo and hand basin.

Location

The cottage is remotely set but only two mins from Llandrillo village which is found between Bala and Corwen. While you have your own outside space at the cottage with a lovely garden and small patio area, it is the breathtaking panoramic views which are the showstopper here - it really does need to have to be seen to be believed.

In terms of what is around you. Bala is 10 mins drive where you will find a beautiful old market town with cafes, restaurants and pubs along with local independent shops - there is a co-op here where you’ll be able to get your supplies. Llyn Tegid, of course, is here and you’ll have a huge choice of activities to do including sailing, kayaking, SUP. five mins down the road you will also find the National White Water Centre. The Bala lake railway is also very popular.

15 mins the other way is Corwen where you’ll find Rhug Farm - an award-winning farm shop and restaurant which is certainly worth visiting if you are nearby. A further 15 mins on will take you to Llangollen, which is a larger market town famed for its aqueduct - again lots of great places eat and shops to mooch around.

From climbing Wyddfa (Snowdon), watersports on the lakes to visiting castles and swimming in the sea and Zip World, there is so much to do in the area, you won’t be bored.

We spent a lovely long weekend in this beautiful cottage. Everything we needed for our stay, breathtaking views and sunsets. Totally secluded and private just what we wanted! We will most definitely be returning.

A very tranquil little cottage in a beautiful location, thank you to Sarah for the welcome pack, as stated it is dog friendly and ours loved his time there, we stayed for a week and it’s great as a base for going to different places, Barmouth, Tywyn, Bala and Zip World. The views are fantastic, and it was so peaceful, the walks are lovely too, the amenities in the cottage are great, the bed big and very comfortable, it was very cosy, we didn’t use the fire as it was warm enough so can’t comment on that. Would definitely recommend it

We had a fantastic stay in a great cottage that offered everything we were looking for. Amazing view and a really cosy living room with a log burner. Lots of activities on the doorstep from walking to white water rafting as well as some nice local villages in either direction.

Cozy cottage with a great view. Good location to explore Snowdonia and Clwydian Range & Dee Valley. The cottage is well-equipped and the hostess was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth considering.

Stayed as couple for four nights. Greeted by host who friendly and available by phone but not obtrusive. On arrival found a bottle of wine, eggs, milk etc. So we could have a brew on arrival as we settled in. Cosy quirky cottage which we loved. Log fire for which wood and kindling supplied – bring firelighters. Has all the facilities you need. Very comfortable double bed with lovely views across the valley. Quiet secluded location. Enjoyed leisurely breakfast outside – bring your own camping chairs as patio set not comfortable for long sitting. Bala 10 mins away. Barmouth maybe 40. It lives up to its profile.

Had a lovely relaxing week, the views are fantastic. The peace and quiet just gives you chance for recharging your batteries.
There was a lovely welcome bowl and nice little tea/coffee tray.
Fabulous inglenook fireplace and comfortable lounge. The staircase is a little uneven, but that’s to be expected in a Grade 2 listed building. The bedroom is gorgeous and the bed Sooooo comfortable.
If you want to sit outside you may benefit from taking your own camping/deck chairs. The little bistro set is fine to sit at for eating alfresco. but not for sitting any length of time.
