Location

Located on the edge of the small village of Pentre Berw, this cosy, dog friendly getaway with a hot tub enjoys a peaceful location yet makes an ideal base for exploring the island. There is plenty to see and do nearby with many interesting places to visit within a short drive, or even a short walk, of the property.

Ynys Môn is a beautiful island with over 125 miles of scenic coastline and an abundance of wildlife. Over a third of the island is designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many stunning beaches to discover and plenty of dog friendly walking trails including the Wales Coast Path.

Known for its unspoilt natural beauty, Ynys Môn is popular with outdoors lovers, particularly watersports enthusiasts and nature lovers. There are many beautiful beaches to explore including Benllech, Red Wharf Bay and Cemaes Bay; keen surfers and windsurfers should head to the west coast to Rhosneigr or Trearddur Bay.

Nature lovers will find plenty to occupy them on the island. Just half a mile from Bryn-Coed, the RSPB nature reserve of Cors Ddyga is one of the largest wetlands in Wales and is home to lapwings, curlews, skylarks and reed warblers to name just a few. The reserve is also home to water dwelling creatures such as otters and water voles.

Wildlife enthusiasts might also enjoy a visit to Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens, Llyn Cefni Reservoir, the National Trust’s Plas Newydd House and Gardens, or Anglesey Sea Zoo, all of which are less than a 15 minute drive from this cosy, dog friendly getaway with a hot tub. As well as coastal wildlife and a wide variety of birds, our captivating, native red squirrels can be found at Plas Newydd, Newborough Forest and Nant Y Pandy Nature Reserve.

For something a little different the Llanfairpwll Distillery, just over half a mile from Bryn-Coed, run distillery tours and tastings, or head to The Spirit of Anglesey in Beaumaris to craft, distill and bottle your very own gin.>

In Beaumaris you can also explore the once mighty castle, browse the town’s thriving high street and take a walk along the seafront where you can enjoy views across the Menai Strait to the mountains beyond.

Nia and Gareth were excellent hosts. The cottage itself was excellent and standards of cleanliness in the property were very good. Obviously the hot tub was an added bonus. The location of the property for wider Anglesey is great. It’s central position enabled us to visit most of the parts of the island in the six days we were there. It provided an opportunity to identify where we want to visit next time. The cottage is just on the outskirts of Gaerwen which is well served by a couple of well stocked shops and a garage. Within a ten minute walk there is a pub although the last 200 or so metres, there is no footpath but a head torch came in very useful. Hopefully we will be back soon.

Our stay at Bryn-Coed was absolutely wonderful. The place is so lovely and cosy. Cleanliness was amazing and the host so warm and welcoming. We took our service dog in training and she also had an amazing time. Nia & Gareth have a gem of a place and we can not wait to return.

A wonderful long weekend stay with our guide dog puppy in training. Nia and Gareth are wonderful host and the accommodation is so homely and inviting. The hot tub was amazing despite the unfavourable weather. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next summer. 5 star review from two very happy humans with their precious pup.

The property was just perfect, very clean and the location was great to get to anywhere on Anglesey!

The hot tub was a great addition when you’ve been out all day and wanted to relax. The garden was secure so you can let your dog run free. 5 star

Had a lovely relaxing time staying at Nia’s property. Stunning location and nice and close to coast, restaurants, pubs, shops. Nia very helpful with advice on where to go and best places to visit. Property is immaculate and has all the homely comforts you could need. Hot tub is a fab added extra which we managed to use once before the storm hit. We were cosy in doors while the storm caused havoc outside. Luckily no damage.
Would highly recommend staying at Nia’s and we will hopefully get to visit again soon 🤞
