What a gorgeous cottage! The view is amazing, the cottage is well appointed and very cosy and comfortable and spotlessly clean! We had a fabulous week for October half term. I will definitely book with Dioni again. The whole process is very easy, and the cottage was just gorgeous. Very happy indeed!

Weāve just spent our summer holiday at Bryn Du and we loved it. The house itself is perfect, everything you need is there and itās very comfortable and cosy. Everything has been thought of, from the brilliant (and generous) welcome pack to a fully stocked first aid kit. We went out every day, but I would have liked more time just lying around the house! The garden is lovely too, space for kids to explore and a swing from the tree which went down well with my kids. We loved the wondering hens that came round to see us and we had a couple of visits from the neighbouring cows. If youāre thinking about a holiday here, do it!

Amazing place 5 stars, Absolutely loved it and can’t wait to book again!!

We have had the most amazing week at Bryn-Du, the holiday cottage is absolutely beautiful, not only is it in a beautiful location, it is perfect for a whole family, the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, microwave, range oven, dishwasher, large fridge and freezer and more pots, pans and utensils you could ever need, having our breakfast on the terrace overlooking the woodland and views of the sea was delightful. Each bedroom having a beautiful view especially the master bedroom with French doors opening onto the balcony made each morning a delight, the bed and bedding so clean and fresh and the power showers in each of the 2 bathrooms were lovely. A separate dining room was lovely for our family meals in the house and the TV and comfortable settees made for great movie nights. The grounds around the cottage are spectacular with different areas to take a different view, the orchard a particular favourite of ours. Honestly, we can’t praise the place enough as we’ve had the most perfect holiday, we’ve been staying in holiday cottages for over 15 years now and we all agreed this one is special, it’s big enough to feel we all had space, homely enough to all feel together and perfect for our family to enjoy being on holiday…..we’ve loved it!!. We loved our morning callers-the chickens and the cows that greeted us each day. Bryn-Du we will be back!.
Thank you.

We have just spent a wonderful week at Bryn-Du with my in-laws celebrating an 80th Birthday and a 20th Anniversary !
The house is beautiful, very cosy and lovely and warm.
The kitchen was very well stocked with all the equipment that you needed for cooking for everyone.
We know the area very well but it was so nice to stay somewhere a bit secluded with beautiful views.
The weather was lovely last week and we enjoyed being able to sit outside and watch the cows and chickens walking by !
Thankyou so much for the welcome basket, it was much appreciated.
Many thanks for a very pleasant holiday.

We had such a lovely time celebrating our 20th anniversary in this beautiful cottage, with our family. It’s ideally located for exploring the Llyn Peninsula and so close to a pebble beach. It’s such a peaceful cottage, surrounded by rolling fields and ideal for star gazing. The hosts were so kind to leave us a welcome hamper, the wine was lovely (thank you) and although we initially had problems with the heating, it was soon sorted and we were toasty warm. We really look forward to visiting again soon.

Had a lovely week at Bryn-Du. The house is beautiful, perfect location. A much needed break with special people, making special memories. Would definitely recommend. We are slowly working our way through the Dioni collection, we are yet to be disappointed!

Spent a wonderful few days in this gorgeous cottage. We will certainly be back. Really a home from home and a great location for a secluded vacation but only 10 mins from the beech.
Elizabeth Davies
Lovely farm house in a great location. We really enjoyed our stay.

This is our 4th stay at Bryn-Du. Always such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The cottage has everything we need, the garden and view fabulous and we love the location with so many beautiful beaches and lovely towns to visit. Thank you.

We had a super holiday at Bryn Du, despite the weather. The property has so much character and was certainly a novelty for my daughter and grandsons. It is decorated to a high standard and was clean. We appreciated the welcome basket as we arrived in the pouring rain on a Saturday evening, not knowing where the nearest supermarket was located. The kitchen had all necessary items including dish cloths and cleaning materials.
There were also loads of brochures for recommended day trips.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and would recommend. Thank you.

Just returned from a 7 night stay in this wonderful cosy house. Well equipped with everything you could need although a tumble dryer would be great as the weather we requested didnāt show up!
The welcome hamper was brilliant.
The views were amazing and in such a peaceful area – I donāt think the website photos do it justice.
We stayed with our 8 month old puppy who loved the garden area and enjoyed sitting and watching the cows in the field, we felt the outside area was pretty secure for the dog although we always stayed close by, but there could be the potential for a larger dog to jump the wall.
Would happily return and would definitely recommend this property.

Our third visit to beautiful Wales staying at Bryn Du which says it all really. Cottage is so so brill you just want to keep going back. Maxine, owner, plus housekeeping keep it spotlessly clean, update fixtures as and when, like lovely new sun loungers. One of the very best spots to really relax is taking one of the loungers into the orchard. Completely surrounded by hedge and full of apple trees, it is a very intimate, extremely peaceful place. Would recommend Bryn Du 100%

We stayed in Bryn-Du for 5 nights and never tired of the fantastic view over woods fields and sea . What an amazing cottage with everything we needed beautiful inside and out. Thanks so much we will be back.

We have just stayed at this cottage for a week and oh, what a treat it has been. From the wonderfully designed interior decorations to the exterior extensive gardens. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you need and the decor is just awesome. The main bedroom is very large and has a Juliette balcony and the en suite is gorgeous.. The views over the bay from this room are outstanding. The other two bedrooms are also great as is the main bathroom. Down stairs the rooms are spacious, homely and inviting and as mentioned above are fabulously decorated. The kitchen is large and has everything one could ask for. Outside the gardens are very large with plenty of room for children and a dog to run around. We will certainly book this cottage again sooner rather than later. It is well worth renting.

We had a great Easter weekend at Bryn-Du, the cottage was in a brilliant location and was a beautiful place to stay. The rooms and grounds were amazing and we all enjoyed the nice weather sitting out on the patio looking at the views. The dogs enjoyed it also with all the space they had and also getting to know our neighbours which was a field of cows! We explored the local beach and the community pub near by was a great little find!

Just spend some time in one of our favourite places, Bryndhu in Criccieth and yet again had a lovely time. It was a cold weekend but after some beautiful but bracing beach walks nearby, a lovely deep bath and the fire going, we were soon very cosy and both slept really well all weekend. Thank you Bryndhu ! See you soon !

Bryn-Du is a wonderful peaceful holiday cottage, we all loved it! The views are fantastic, the cottage is immaculate and so clean thanks to Karen the housekeeper with white soft towels and crisp clean bedding. The extensive welcome hamper was very much appreciated – thank you. The kitchen has everything you need and more!!!
Just like the immaculate rooms inside the cottage, the outside patios, lawns and orchard are large and well maintained. The new wooden gates at the end of the drive make the wrap around outside areas escape proof for our dog who loved exploring the grounds.
Whilst the photo’s on Dioni’s web page do not do justice to Bryn-Du, we have again had a wonderful holiday booked via Dioni. Thank you.
Kate Helme
Our third visit to Bryn Du and it didnāt disappoint. Lovely cottage in a lovely setting. Weāll be back next year!

Pros..
Wonderful week at this beautiful home from home cottage with family and two dogs. Very clean and tastefully decorated with a very well equipped kitchen overall. Very comfortable beds. Nice large ensuite with bath and shower and main bathroom with dual sinks and large shower. Stunning views of the fields and sea and of nearby coastlines.. Great location being so central to many destinations. Love having the cows so close too. Nice, quiet area. Very relaxing. Fantastic wrap around gardens for dogs to run around in. Very generous welcome hamper pack thank you. Plenty of beaches nearby for dog walks.
Cons..
You do have neighbours in a stone bungalow sharing same drive access and they can see you when sitting out on the patio. The oil tank is right by the patio, so when relaxing outside, you can feel a bit heady at times with the smell.
Despite the big garden ares for your dogs to run in which ours loved, we do have to agree with some other reviews in that this is not 100% secure for dogs, as they can jump the low stone walls around the front drive, so you do have to keep an eye on them. Ideally a secure gate across the cottage driveway entrance would make a big difference for people bringing dogs and keep them secure.
Very limited info in the welcome brochure (least amount of info I think I have ever seen). ie, about the range oven as the temp numbers have all worn off so hard to know what you are cooking at and not all of us use electric. TV as well. Do you use the owner\’s individual Netflix logins??? Would be good to have more clarity on the simpler things.
Yes I would stay again, but would consider who with and about the dog security issue. Would recommend but would mention all the pros and cons.

We were lucky enough to stay at Bryn-Du for two weeks and what a wonderful property it is. The views are amazing from the huge well kept garden, we had a barbeque every night that we didn’t eat out. The house itself is incredibly well furnished and comfortable. We have never recieved such a generous welcome package, including new BBQ tools, Citronella Candle, Charcol and firelighters when the owners realised we love to BBQ. It is well positioned for the Llyn Peninsula beaches and the mountains of Snowdonia. We would definitely like to return.
Anna
Just returned from a lovely week stay at Bryn Du. The cottage is beautiful, cosy and creatively furnished. Has all the facilities one needs, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils, and the welcome hamper was a lovely gesture. The views over to Pwllheli, Llanbedrog and Abersoch were ever changing with the weather. The river walk from the house is a must and all the nearby beaches provided lovely walks for us and our dogs. At the cottage they had place to run around so as long as you are confident your dogs will stay close itās a great place for their holiday too. All in all I would highly recommend Bryn Du and hope to return again.
Malcolm Gibson
The property and location were delightful and of high quality. All requirements were met and beyond. The area can boast some of the best panoramic views in the world and given our good fortune with the weather it made the perfect holiday. Many thanks to everyone at Dioni

Our fourth visit! The cows were in the field as usual but Geraint has moved. The cottage was spotlessly clean. Delightful welcome pack and useful goodies in the fridge, as always, on arrival. No doubt we will be back again.
Martyn Smith
We have stayed at Bryn Du previously and the cottage is a lovely place to stay, however the only downside and it will probably prevent us from booking again, is that although dogs are allowed there is nowhere secure within the large garden areas for them to run free so they need to be on a lead all the time!
I would suggest it would be more appealing if a small section was securely fenced off so the dogs had a small area to roam free!
Kate Helme
This is our second visit to Bryndu (our last was 2016) and we have not found anything that matches it. It is just a beautiful cottage in a beautiful location, with so many lovely little touches and extras. The garden is fabulous for kids and dogs. This area is wonderful and we went to all of our usual haunts like Criccieth, Porthmadog, Borth-y-Gest, Shell Island. Already planning next years visit!

We have just returned from a wonderful, relaxing stay at ‘Bryn Du’ cottage. Absolutely beautiful property in stunning & peaceful location. Everyone in our group agreed that this experience was just what was needed following extended lockdown period – ideal opportunity to catch-up with friends & recharge. We would highly recommend this property & Dioni – and we can’t wait to book again with yourselves.

Hi. Holiday at bryn du was as brilliant as ever. Comfy, cosy, warm. Peace and quiet. Noticed extra cooking trays and tins which were very useful. Special thanks to Maxine and housekeeping for helping out when extra guests arrived. Couldn’t do enough. Thankyou. Scrummy hamper didn’t last long. New bbq is very posh even had occasion to use it. All in all a great time which was very needed.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the holiday period. The house if beautifully appointed, with everything and more you will need to have a very comfortable break. Wonderful views of the bay from the house and garden. The cottage is in a quiet location, but very close to all the amenities, thanks to the owners for ensuring we had a fabulous stay.

Have just spent New Year at Bryn Du. All six of us had a fabulous time! The location of the cottage is gorgeous – wonderful views, peaceful surroundings but within easy reach of restaurants, (Dillons in Criccieth especially)cafes, pubs, and beautiful coves and beaches with great walks ( with or without dogs)! The cottage itself is delightful and has beautiful rooms, and lots of thoughtful little extras throughout- creatively styled, comfortable and inviting. We were sorry to leave !!

Being the first time in Wales and what a lovely holiday property.
Perfect spot, lovely decorated and equipped house and a very good location to explore the Snowdonia national park and the Llyn peninsula.
We loved it.
Recommendation is the Australia Pub in Porthmadog. All the local purple moose beer an tap, excellent food, nice atmosphere.

2nd visit to this gorgeous cottage. If I were to be negative cleaning needs to be done more thorough, some minor DIY, tried to locate resident lounge slug to no avail but could see where he had been. Kitchen drain needs attention. Views as perfect as ever.

Bryan Du cottage is the most luxurious holiday cottage set in stunning countryside. From the moment we stepped through the door we knew we were going to have a splendid long weekend. The cottage has been renovated and designed to the highest specification and there is everything you need for a short or long stay. The gorgeous kitchen is a perfect place to dine and the view is a spectacular place to watch the day unfold.
The lounge is beautiful and the open fire in the letās you ends the day in a cosy and snug way. The bedrooms are very well equipped with super comfy beds and decor. The little guest toiletries are lovely and add a special touch.
The cottage grounds are magical. The rolling fields beyond the patio afforded us many hours of tranquility and relaxation with a G&T in the garden. The walk to the river is highly recommended and this really is a must if you have children. You can walk back to the cottage and freshen up in the stunning bathrooms with amazing showers and a roll top bath in the en-suite.
The cottage offers a fantastic opportunity to escape the hustle, bustle and noise of everyday life. Bryn Du is the perfect place to re-charge and relax. However, if you want to connect to the world there is WiFi at the cottage and some great wine bars and restaurants down the road in Criccieth. This cottage canāt be recommended enough.

Just back from a beautiful hot week here itās all about the STUNNING VIEW! You could never tire of it.The cottage is very nice in need of some TLC in places as a little tired and a few too many cobwebs. The welcome hamper was most welcome a nice touch. The garden furniture was fine but only one sun lounger and it was hot in May. The garden areas are lovely with rustic charm but as it is dog friendly make sure your dog is not an explorer as the area is not gated or secured for a wandering canine. Some local information would be nice ie walks,we download an explorer ordinance survey very useful. The coast line is stunning beaches mountains friendly locals itās like Cornwall without the crowds and cars would definitely recommend here and would return.

What a lovely house full of character and so tastefully furnished. It is well equipped, had everything we needed and the wonderful hamper/goodies/logs left were really appreciated. The location for the beach, Criccieth and river walks was perfect and the views outstanding.
A perfect few days away, thank you.
I have just had a look to see if we could book for a week in October but itās fully booked. ā¹ļø

Just returned from a lovely stay despite Storm Hannah!! Cottage was beautiful and well equipped. Only complaints are it would be helpful to have instructions as to what to do with rubbish and recycling. Also a file with nearest doctors, vets etc would be very handy as we had a two year old with us who developed a very high temperature late at night and what with the erratic phone signal, it was quite difficult to get him to a doctor. Thanks for the welcome hamper and would highly recommend Dylan’s in Criccieth for food!!

What can I say, absolute heaven. Owners have thought of everything. Best cottage we have stayed in over 20 years of self catering. Views, comfort, equipment everything first class. Cleanliness was excellent even extra maid service, at no cost, for longer stays. Sitting outside, sea views, total quiet, odd moo now and again. Relaxation totally achieved.

Enjoyed a most fabulous week at the end of June and although the weather was a little unkind the property and the location more than made up for it. No expense has been spared in the cottage to ensure a comfortable and indeed luxurious stay. The personal gifts and welcoming hamper were a lovely touch. Criccieth provides an excellent base from which to explore this part of North Wales and we will certainly be back to do some more mooching around.

A beautiful location for a truly excellent cottage. We enjoyed our week enormously at this comfortable and welcoming cottage. The hamper provided was very generous and the flowers a lovely touch. It was our second time in Bryn Du and absolutely wonderful New Year holidays! All our family love everything about Wales, Snowdonia and particularly the cottage. From the very first steps in a hamper pack was great after five-hours drive, pretty Christmas tree and decoration for our New Year celebration, cosy fire place, a lot of space for all of us, plenty of places for hide-and-seek, nice town down the sea, landscapes and Snowdonia just next door – all of these and more made our holiday marvellous! We’ll miss Bryn Du and hope to visit it again!

We spent a very relaxing Christmas week at Bryn-Du. It’s a wonderful cottage for a family get together. The cottage is very spacious, much more so than suggested by the photos, so everyone had plenty of space. As others have said the sea views from the kitchen and main bedroom are lovely even in December. We had some great walks on the beach with the dog, particularly Harlech and Black Rock under clear blue skies. We would really like to come back in the summer when the temperature is a bit higher!

Sadly we booked property for 8 nights but due to illness had to come home very early which was really upsetting. The property is wonderful, full of character and the views spectacular. A beautiful hamper greeted us which was a lovely surprise. Will have to return one day as didn’t really get to explore. I highly recommend staying at Bryn Du. Thank you

This cottage is AMAZING! we were so thrilled with everything, the view from the cottage the hamper was incredible, the cows greeting us at the fence every morning, the interior of the cottage was stunning and immaculately clean. I just cannot fault it in anyway. To come home and light the fire in the evenings was a real treat. We were so busy enjoying ourselves that we totally forgot to fill in the visitors book. So thank you to the owners for allowing us to stay in this fabulous cottage by far the best we have ever stayed in. The pictures on the website do not do it justice as it is bigger than it appears and the garden is larger that the photos show. LOVE THIS COTTAGE

We have stayed at many cottages over the years, all of them great but Bryn Du was truly special. The cottage was delightful with so many extras and the views were spectacular. The weather was awful so I can’t imagine what it would be like if the weather was good. Our only regret was not being able to make use of the fantastic outdoor space. Visit Bryn Du, you won’t regret it.

One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in. The little touches where an added bonus and would recommend the cottage to all our friends. The owners have taken past comments on board and this is noticed in the cottage. The views are out of this world and its only a 15 min walk to the local pub. Will definitely returning and thank you for letting us use your lovely home.

We have just had our third visit to the Criccieth area of North Wales staying in different Dioni cottages and Bryn Du is simply the best. The cottage is off the beaten track yet near enough to civilisation. It commands superb views of the Lleyn peninsula and Tremadog bay. There are several delightful circular walks which can be done from the cottage and it is ideally positioned for other more demanding hikes. A trip to Bardsey Island is a must and for something completely different for all the family why not try out a Segway X2 adventure at the Dragon Raiders Activity Park just around the corner.
The whole family can’t wait to come back again and have another holiday staying at Bryn Du.

Possible the most relaxing place in Wales! We were blessed with a fabulously sunny and warm week but even with cloud and rain it would have been as good a place to chill out and relax.
This is a lovely home from home – as everyone else has said it’s really well equipped and presented. There are lovely extra touches which make this a very special place to stay – we felt very welcome from the moment we arrived.
The views are spectacular and much better than the website suggests.
It exceeded all our expectations. It’s a great location for coast and mountains. We will be back for sure!

A fabulous time had again by all at the lovely Bryn Dhu cottage in criccieth. This cottage is beautifully decorated and we were particularly pleased that the owners have kept all the original features which add to the cottages charm. It is well appointed with lots of outside space, gorgeous views and everything you need for a comfortable and totally relaxing stay (don’t think we have ever stayed anywhere that is so well equipped for any occasion). The hamper, toiletries and flowers were lovely and made us feel very welcome from the start. Fantastic value for money.
We would recommend the newly opened Dylan’s restaurant near the beach which is contemporary with great food, good service and safe for the children.
We will be back !!!!

Cottage looks amazing on website but in reality a few niggles:-
Front door knob was almost impossible to turn to get in!
Two sets of keys would be useful.
Garden not as pristine as expected.
Boiler housing outside needs disguising.
No hand towels or oven gloves and only two tea towels.
Kitchen very nice and light and well equipped but windows need eased and better draught-proofing.
All door furniture in house needs maintained or replaced to enable them to be closed.
Dark sitting room – need more lamps and perhaps a nest of tables.
Blind cleats coming away from walls.
Hall – excellent for playing and storage.
Rubbish and Recycling – not clear what to do and if paying Ā£710 or more guests should not have to move dustbins anywhere.
Generous food hamper, toiletries and lovely flowers.
All in all eight out of 10

Hi Martin – thank you for your lovely comments about the cottage. I want to reassure you that we have been trying to sort the refuge collection over the last couple of months – the problem started when the council recently changed collection from weekly to every three weeks. I am now relieved to say we now have a solution and are moving back to a weekly service – I am just sorry this was not the case when you stayed!! ….
Kindest Regards Maxine Dilworth (owner)

We stayed here for a week with our adult sons and one dog. The cottage is really great. Extremely well furnished and decorated and with lovely views. The seating in the sitting room is very comfortable (often this is not the case in our experience), nice spacious dining room and a lovely kitchen, although we had a very cold and windy week and the French windows were not very draft proof. There is a nice barbecue and lots of outdoor seating and tables with a big garden; young children would find it amazing. Good walk from the cottage and plenty more in the hills and down the peninsula.
The one drawback was the rubbish. Both bins were full when we arrived, and there was no blue recycling box nor brown waste food box. We had to get rid of food in litter bins in Criccieth, take empty bottles home with us and leave a couple of bin liners for the cleaners. It is not really that big a deal in practice, and wouldn’t stop us from staying at Bryn-du again, but I hope that Dioni or the owners take this on board.

Loved the house. Beautiful setting and very spacious. I had a picture of a welsh country cottage in my mind beforehand and I was not disappointed upon arrival. …fabulous. Nice country views from the house.
Fully equipped kitchen, lovely open fire , very homely…
The extra touch of the welcome hamper and gift packs was a lovely surprise and very much appreciated.
Our only disappointment was that we couldn’t spend more time there.
HIGHLY recommended

This is the nicest holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. Such a pretty cottage in a picturesque and quiet location. The house was beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. We felt very much at home, and would not hesitate in recommending this cottage to anyone.

We stayed at Bryn Du and loved the house. It’s spacious, well equipped and beautifully located plus there was a welcome hamper which was very much appreciated. We visited for a long weekend from 24th to 27th April and were very lucky with the weather. On the first day we did a 6 mile circular walk from the property into the village, along the river, over the fields to Criccieth, along the coast and back. On the Sunday the sun shone all day for us as we climbed Snowdon. Couldn’t ask for better views and it was wonderful to come back to the comfort of Bryn Du which is only about 45 minutes drive from Snowdon Visitor Centre.

We all really enjoyed the house, and found it comfortable and very clean. We were most appreciative of the hamper too!
Sadly, the weather was dire for most of the week, so we did not get out to enjoy the pretty garden and surroundings. The children would have loved to explore!
We loved the area, and would be happy to return to see it without the ever present wind and rain. The coast is beautiful in most weathers and seasons, but I don’t think we saw it at its best.
We did leave a note re the recycling. The large bin was full of our predecessors tins and bottles, and there was no food waste bin, or blue bin. We took a lot of recycling to Portmadog, but could not find a communal place to leave it, so had to bring it back.
We enjoyed the ‘Electric Mountain’, and Portmeirion very much. We did not manage to do much climbing, but on the day we left, the younger fry made it to the top of Snowdon, so all was not lost!
We do hope to come again, if at all possible, and would happily recommend the property to others.
Thank you for having us!

We enjoyed our stay at Bryn Du very well appointed and decorated. Everything we needed was in the cottage and was a great base for visiting the Llyn Peninsula.

Absolutely beautiful cottage, great views and peaceful, superbly equipped to high standard. Lovely to have welcome pack even though only stayed for weekend, everything taken care of. Stayed in lots of cottages over the years, but probably the best yet, highly recommended.

Hello Louise,
I’ve been meaning to email since we spent time in your cottage to tell you how wonderful it was!
We were totally surprised by everything when we arrived, from the gorgeous cottage itself, the decoration and cosiness to the sweet hamper that was left for us.
We plan on returning this year sometime.
Many thanks for all.
Kind regards,
Jennifer

We came to Bryn Du for a Christmas getaway somewhere different and what a good choice we made! The house is fantastic and the extra touches such as the hamper, the real Christmas tree and other decs made it feel very festive. The setting is amazing with that wonderful view and much sought after peace and quiet. There was plenty of wood to keep the open fire going and it is great that you do not charge extra for this (many holiday places do!) With the fire roaring, the Christmas lights twinkling and the wine flowing we completely switched off and had a wonderful Christmas!Even the dog looked relaxed and reluctant to leave! THANK YOU

We stayed here every year (and sometimes twice a year) for 7 years until 2007. This is our first year back again and we were slightly apprehensive about Bryn-du being a ‘luxury’ cottage. However, we were delighted – it has been beautifully, lovingly and sympathetically restored and revitalised and is a wonderful cottage in a stunning location. It was great to have a 5′ bed for a change! The sitting area is quite dark if you want to read/knit etc – how about a standing light somewhere there? The basket of goodies in the kitchen was lovely – just be careful though, our chocolates were bbf august and were a bit speckly. These are small things though – I can’t wait to go back again!

Lovely hamper on our arrival, very much appreciated.
The cottage was well equipped, nicely decorated and very comfortable throughout. Towels, bed linen etc were all lovely and clean for our stay.
Stunning quiet location with great views over the penninsula with quick and easy access to nearby villages and towns.
We had a fabulous 2 weeks stay and will be using it again in the future.
Thank you very much.

We have had a wonderful stay at this most beautiful home. Thank you Rob for being so quick to assist with the minor problem we had for and making sure everything was okay afterwards.
We recharged our batteries and it gave us some vauble family time away and as we don’t get to see our son that often as he works over in pwhelli he came and joined us. Lots of fun times around the lovely kitchen table.
Great family memories in fabulous surrounding

Spent a fabulous long weekend at Bryn Du at the end of July. What a beautiful cottage – it blew away our expectations! The cottage is situated in an idyllic position just above the cute village of Llanystumdwy yet close enough to all of the coastal areas. The cottage is decorated to an exceptional standard and we did not want for anything. We had some fun day trips however you could be forgiven for never leaving the cottage and just enjoying the tranquility of the garden whilst looking at the gorgeous views (with a glass of wine!). Thank you so much for lovely weekend. We will definitely be back !

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Bryn-Du last week. The house was spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished and decorated, and there was a gorgeous hamper and fresh flowers waiting for us in the kitchen when we arrived. The view was spectacular and the house was in a great location (lots of walks straight from the front door). We’re hoping to return soon.

We have just returned from a wonderful week at Bryn Du. The location could not have been better with easy access to the mountains and coast. There are great walks and bike rides from the door and the views from the house are fabulous. As for the farmhouse itself, it couldn’t have been better; a wonderfully furnished cosy home with everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Bryn Du to anyone and perhaps we will return one day. many thanks

A gem of a cottage in a lovely location. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay.
It wouldn’t be suitable for elderly people though, as the stairs are extremely steep.
The kitchen is fantastic and the view when sitting at the tale is beautiful.
The bedrooms are very comfortable and spacious and the bathrooms are lovely.
I would highly recommend this cottage.

A truly lovely cottage, lovely fixtures and furnishings – very comfortable and in a fantastic location, with stunning sea views and fairly extensive gardens. Criccieth is only 5 minutes away by car or for the more energetic there is quite a nice walk which my 6 and 10 year olds managed.
The beach at Harlech is by far one of the best, Abersoch is also great but can get a little crowded. The ice cream shop in Criccieth is great and so is the fish and chip shop across the road (go early as it gets very busy!). Anglesey is definitely worth a visit – especially the boat trip to puffin island to see the puffins and seals.

A lovely house to stay in. Very good quality fixtures and fittings. The outside areas are quite extensive, although this is not conveyed on the description details. I would not hesitate to recommend the property. It is located in a very quiet setting, but the facilities at Criccieth are less than 5 minutes away by car.
The location is very convenient for the Lynn Peninsula, the mountain areas, and around Harlech to the east. Criccieth has quiet beaches which our 3 girls frequented a lot (during our week there wasn’t a spot of rain during the days, and only one night of rain). The ice cream shop at Criccieth was also a big draw.
As you will see from this and the rest of the reviews, there’s no gripes about the house, or the location!

I completely agree with all the lovely comments posted about Bryn-Du. We have been to lots of holiday cottages over the years and this must be one of, if not the best, one which we’ve stayed in. The cottage was beautiful, fully equipped with everything that you’d need for your stay. The welcome pack is a lovely touch, especially adding items specific to the guests (freddo chocolate for our little boy). The location is fantastic, such beautiful scenery and very peaceful. Despite the weather we did see the sea view from the window!

Thank you so much for such a magical holiday ! The cottage is just perfect – the interior is absolutely beautiful and the quality of the furnishing is first class. We had a wonderful Easter break at Bryn Du and cherish the time we spend there as a family. It is a real haven and a very special place – we look forward to visiting again very soon.

In February we returned for our second visit to this cottage, and thoroughly enjoyed it as much as our summer visit. There is plenty to do in the area, and this cottage is a luxury home from home. WiFi is excellent, so even on those cold British days we were able to watch movies online in front of the fabulous fire.
We would not hesitate to return.

We have just spent a lovely few days at this absolutely gorgeous cottage. We had a mixture of rain & sun so both the fabulous patio area and the roaring log fires were put to good use!
This is a great rural location, peace and quiet, but also within a very short drive of Criccieth and the surrounding areas.
You can tell that every last bit of this cottage has been put in place with love, care and attention and the standard is extremely high – from the super-comfy beds to the walk in shower – to the little touches that make this feel like home from the minute you arrive.
We will be back!

So as promised we returned for an autumn weekend and is was super ! We spent 5 nights at Bryn Du with my parents and our 2 dogs for my husband’s birthday. The house is by far the most beautiful we have had the pleasure of staying in. It is fully equipped with everything you may need; and as soon as you walk through the door there is a feeling of warmth and welcome. Set amongst a gorgeous landscape, with views over the fields to the sea – it really is idyllic. We enjoyed long walks along the country lanes into Criccieth, and days out to Abersoch, Nefyn and Black Rock Sands. It really is in a great position to explore. The hamper was a lovely touch, as were the toiletries and the dogs loved their surprise treats. We will definitely be back

What a beautiful house, from the moment you step into the very spacious hallway you can’t wait to explore the next room and so on,the grounds are lovely and the sea view takes your breath away,in fact we spent most of our break sitting in the breakfast kitchen gazing down at the sea in the distance. The weather was very wet and windy but it didn’t dampen our spirits and we got out and about and looked forward to returning and cooking supper on the fantastic aga.We would have no hesitation of recommending Bryn Du to family and friends and also look forward to return ourselves one day.

We have just spent the last week at the Bryn Du in Criccieth and had a really great time. The cottage is gorgeous and welcoming and up to the highest standards. The daily visit from the cows in the neighbouring field was also very welcome. The location is great for exploring this beautiful part of wales within easy reach of beaches, countryside and some great walks.
We have booked again for November and are looking forward to winter walks followed by cosy dinners in the lovely dining are and lounge complete with roaring real fires.

The Dilworths have created a charming and welcoming holiday property. The luxurious fittings and quality of decoration made a real impression, and with stunning views in the heart of lovely countryside , I am not sure if we have ever stayed in finer surroundings – what a lovely weekend!
