Situated at the gateway to the Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), this beautiful cottage is housed on a stylish lodge park less than ten minutes’ walk to the heart of the village.
A pathway leads to the front door of this former miners cottage, leading directly into the ground floor open plan living space. The stone cottage has been lovingly renovated to create bright and modern interiors while retaining the charm of the historical building. To the left, a spacious lounge area comprises a beautiful brown leather sofa and teal fabric armchair, set around a coffee table overlooking a fireplace with an electric log burner. Slate tiles are laid to the floor, with underfloor heating, a slate hearth and oak surround to the fireplace. A smart TV sits on the wall above the fireplace, and a freestanding lamp in the corner provides cosy lighting in the evenings. The opposite side of the cottage is home to a kitchen diner area, with modern wooden shaker units finished in grey with a solid granite worktop. With built-in oven and microwave, gas hob, combined washer/dryer and the all-important wine fridge, it's the perfect kitchen for cooking up a hearty meal and relaxing at the dining table in the evening, or at breakfast while planning the day ahead.
An oak staircase to the centre of the cottage leads to the beautiful bedroom of this romantic cottage for two in Betws-y-Coed. With a king size bed flanked by stylish white bedroom furniture, a patterned Welsh blanket on the bed and chequered blinds are finished in earthy tones. The adjacent bathroom is beautifully decorated and stylish with a freestanding roll top Victorian bath, alongside a walk in shower, WC and basin. With slate flooring and grey wood panelling to the walls, this beautiful bathroom is a great space for a relaxing soak in the evening after a day exploring the stunning surrounding area.
Bwthyn Tyddyn also features a private outdoor space, by way of a slate patio area to the rear of the property surrounded by a low level stone wall. With a cast iron furniture set, it's the perfect spot for al fresco dining while gazing out at the beautiful landscapes all around.
