Elegant self-catering accommodation in North Wales | Crogen-Wing
Crogen-Wing is part of an impressive 14th century Manor house near Bala. The westernmost wing of the Manor house has been cleverly divided into elegant self-catering accommodation for guests wanting to visit this wonderful part of North Wales.
Armed with an impressively large key, access is gained via a secluded cobbled courtyard. The kitchen diner has a country kitchen feel and includes both a dishwasher and washing machine. An impressive blue Aga stove on the far wall adds character and the hanging maid above is a useful addition for drying socks after a long walk in the mountains.
A staircase leading off the kitchen diner brings you to the first floor lounge. Luxurious sofas face onto a warming log burner. Antique ornaments and period furniture add a sense of classic sophistication whilst the tall gothic like windows provide views of the nearby River Dee.
The spacious twin bedroom next door also enjoys the same great view. Guests can sit up in bed and watch the river as it winds lazily through meadows and grazing sheep whilst contemplating the adventures of the day ahead. The attached en-suite bathroom has a large bath as well as a separate and powerful shower.
The other side of the corridor we come to a second bedroom. A double this time, dressed like the first, with fine white cotton. An antique mahogany chest of drawers and a wing backed chair perpetuate the sense of elegance and style. Again, the spacious en-suite to this bedroom includes a bath and separate shower.
