A beautiful, romantic one bedroom cottage in the hills above Dolgellau, Deer Park Lodge is a fairytale property that shouldn't be missed. The building is an entrance lodge to the ancient deer park of the Nannau Estate in Dolgellau.

The stunning stone lodge's entrance porch opens into an open plan, one up one down layout which is bright and spacious. The ground floor space is tastefully decorated in soft and warm shades, with traditional furnishings which complement the history of the building. The floor is laid with large grey quarry tiles throughout, with a rug placed centrally in front of an inviting roaring log burner. A cosy armchair and leather sofa complete the lounge area, with a beautiful chest utilised as a side table and a Welsh dresser placed in the corner. Windows to three aspects of the room, as well as the large glass panelled door, flood the space with light and provide countryside views all around.

The small but well equipped kitchen area provides ample cooking space for two. Farmhouse style wooden units, finished in grey, surround a traditional white Belfast sink and modern built in oven and grill. A farmhouse dining table, perfect for two, is located in the corner of the room.

Upstairs, the romantic one bedroom cottage in the hills above Dolgellau is equally as impressive. The beautifully designed bedroom area has high ceilings which make it feel large and spacious. A large custom designed, gorgeous wooden bed unit, complete with built in side tables, provides a stunning feature in the middle of the space. This is complimented by a chunky farmhouse chest of drawers and side chairs. A wooden shelving unit packed full of books and cast iron style radiators finish off the space beautifully, and all fixtures and fittings are of high quality and specification. The bedroom area has windows to three aspects, with outstanding views across the surrounding area.

An en suite shower room is separated from the bedroom by a large sliding wooden stable door. The en suite has a large shower cubicle with rain forest shower head and a smaller multi purpose hand held head, with large grey tiles to compliment the flooring downstairs. The remainder of the shower room fittings are of a traditional style, in keeping with the history of the building.

We had a fantastic holiday. The property is wonderful, very well finished without being overly pristine, perfect. The views are amazing and the peace and tranquility unrivaled we couldn’t have picked a better place for our 4 nights away for our anniversary. 10+/10.

Had a wonderful stay at Deer Park Lodge. Idyllic surroundings in an isolated location. Well appointed, hot tub is the icing on the cake.

Lovely secluded lodge! Felt warm and cozy! The space was the perfect size for the two of us with our doggy too!! We did unfortunately go during the storm which affected the WiFi and meant we didn’t have any throughout the entirety of our stay but this wasn’t a huge issue for us. The hot tub was so nice once it had gotten warm (took a long time though). Location was great! Close to the coast as well as scenic drives through the valleys too. To get right up North Wales took around 1 hour which wasn’t too bad! Underfloor heating in the lodge was AMAZING! Our dog most certainly loved it too! Would definitely visit again!

We absolutely loved our stay here! It was exactly as remote and secluded as we wanted! The bed was so comfortable and having the fire on made the living room so cosy of an evening! If you want some time to yourselves in the peace and quiet of nature then I whole heartdly recommend Deer Park Lodge. The stargazing was incredible at night as well!! I strongly recommend using the what3words location when trying to find it for the first time as Google sends you to someone else’s private residence. If you make the correct turn off the road you’ll come to a livestock gate very quickly, this IS the right way! Be sure to bring all the ingredients you need to cook with, a wide variety of equipment/utensils are included with the rental but we had to pop down to the village to grab oil/salt/pepper etc. and Deer Park Lodge has a very long driveway!

We stayed at this cottage for a couple of nights away immediately after our wedding. The cottage was a perfect escape. It offered us beautiful views, stunning scenery and a cosy cottage to fully relax in. The cottage has everything you need as well as a wood fire hot tub which was an extra treat. We will definitely visit again!

What an amazing few days at Deek Park Lodge. The walks and views in the area are awesome, and you don’t have to go far to find them. The lodge itself is perfect for a short stay with everything you need. The hot tub helped make the evenings something we will never forget. Looking up at a clean sky and watching the shooting stars, the Milky Way, and more stars that you have ever seen will be something that will stay with us for a long time. If we could have stayed a little longer, we would have.
