Thank you for such a lovely house, having both was good for 14 of us, on my husbands 70th birthday, amazing views and the baby sheep to wake up to was wonderful.

What a wonderful cottage, Clean, roomy and very cosy.

13 of us from 73 to 7 years had such a lovely time.

We loved the space and the amount of living rooms that we could each use, the children were in heaven playing in the secure gardens while the adults enjoyed a glass of wine while watching spectacular sunsets.

We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Frongaled and feel totally recharged. We had amazing weather for the time of year. To sit outside listening to the stream and the farm animals was just bliss. We enjoyed the most incredible sunsets.

We have never stayed anywhere that offered such tranquility but was in easy reach of lovely coastal towns. We all enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and gathering around the lovely farmhouse table together. The icing on the cake to end our days was the huge inglenook fireplace and log burner that we lit and cosied around to play board games.

Will definitely be booking again, as it really was a special place. 

Excellent week at Hen-Dy-Frongaled. Accommodation was pristine, views stunning and ideal to venture and explore. Only negative is that the stairs are slippery so an addition of a non-slip cover to them would be a suggestion. We would highly recommend

Excellent venue for large family gathering Everything needed was available to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable Adults and children thoroughly enjoyed the space and the garden It was lovely to briefly meet the owners and hear a little bit about the history of the house and the local area Local pubs and restaurants very friendly and serving good food and drinks. Beaches great for the kids and very accessible Would recommend without reservation.

We booked Frongaled to celebrate my “big birthday”.

The accommodation was perfect. The houses are very clean and renovated to a very high standard.

The pub is a 15 min walk going and a little longer coming back 😂.

The train from the bottom of the road runs to the lovely town of Barmouth every two hours.

Would really recommend this beautiful holiday home and I’m sure we will be back.

We had a lovely break here last weekend .. there were eight of us as well as our respective four legged friends. Two gorgeous cottages furnished beautifully in an amazing location !! Fully equipped with anything and everything you need.. and more !! Whoever did your inventory deserves a medal
Cleanliness was exceptional too !

A wonderful Spring break, in a charming rustic setting but with all the mod cons. House immaculately presented with super comfy furniture , all in a spectacular location . We loved seeing the lambs being born and filling the surrounding fields . We came away feeling totally relaxed . We can’t wait to return, hopefully very soon. Thank you x

Just returned from spending a fantastic New Year with family in this beautiful house. The location is stunning and the house has been renovated to a very high standard. The house accommodated all eight of us plus two dogs very comfortably. We were also left some welcome packages for both us and the dogs which were a lovely added touch. Fantastic beach nearby at Barmouth, perfect for walking the dogs. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend.

Lovely house with beautiful views. Plenty of space for all 11 of us. We had lovely days out at Harlech, delicious ice-cream Hufenfa’r Castell. Slate mines and farm. Shell Island is well worth a visit. Lovely beach to find lots of different shells.

Absolutely stunning house! We were a family of 14. The house easily catered for all of us, with the option of being able to eat outside, and the children playing, reassured that they were safe on the grounds. Fantastic views. Great location, only a short drive from Barmouth and Harlech. A great pub close by, with lovely food and a great play area for the kids. Looking forward to coming back soon.

We stayed in both cottages FAB! Also the location! Loved the panoramic views of the sea. We ate in both kitchens at different times to enjoy the views. Would recommend local pub and beach. Will certainly return. Thanks for making our holiday so special.

Fabulous time had by all … We have loved the house and its spectacular views. Also various beaches, crabbing at Barmouth, Harlech Castle and the Ffestiniog Railway.

We all had a fabulous weekend celebrating my big birthday, what a truly stunning property. We loved how many of the original features have been retained which showed the history of the farm. We were a mixed group of ages so found both properties offered great space for us to socialise inside and out yet we could retreat to our own space at the end of the day. We visited Zip World which wasn’t too far away and the dare devils amongst us really enjoyed the zip wire. We came back to enjoy a beautiful sunset bbq and relaxed in the private gardens .
We hope to return again, thank you for the best weekend.

Family celebration
We had a super time at the cottages, we were very impressed with the great attention to detail. We had a full house celebrating a birthday and everything was here for us to enjoy, a real home from home experience. We loved the openness and freedom we had and the views are just sublime.
We had great weather and stayed in the garden to enjoy the sunset and the moon rising.
Everything was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the area.
The bbq’s are a real bonus too.
We can’t wait to return, thank you so much.

Lovely cottage with amazing views. Weather was lovely and sunset skies across the fields to the sea were fabulous. Trip into Harlech for a coffee and ice-cream at Knickerbockers by the quay in Barmouth were all good experiences of the area. Bought ‘Champion Sausages from London House stores ( in the Spar) in Dyffryn Ardudwy was great, worth buying! Beach at Morfa Dyffryn nearest to the cottage is the best in our opinion – with a good expanse to walk Archie. Went to Norbar a couple of miles down the road towards Barmouth, amazing seafood and good service. Overall a lovely few days, much appreciated.

We had a fantastic weekend at Ty Newydd and Hen Dy. Perfect accommodation, views and weather – not a cloud for three days!
Cwm Bychan and the Roman Steps walk recommended, as were the beautiful beaches.

Lovely cottage – very comfortable and amazing views and surroundings. Have had a great week, the sun has shone & shone! So have spent much of our time on the beach. Children been swimming and paddle boarding. Lovely welcome basket too.

Beautiful cottage in beautiful scenery. Morning views of the sea and the sheep around were lovely. The cottage was immaculate and everything had been thought of beforehand. The hampers – both dog and human- were very much appreciated.

Beautiful house for a large family gathering. Everything we needed and more, stunning location and magnificent views. Thank you especially for the thoughtful welcome pack and dog treats.

Fabulous accommodation with everything provided. Loved the dog ‘goodie bag’ and the ‘people goodie basket’. Enjoyed local walks , beach and river walk to the local pub.
Appreciated the history and had great fun with the hidden door catch.

Absolutely loved this beautifully renovated farmhouse, we had everything we could possibly need. Our family loved exploring the area, the fabulous beach within walking distance and our boys thoroughly enjoyed building dens in the woods.
It was so lovely coming back to the cottage, lighting the log burner and cosying up with a film and hot chocolate. Thank you for the hampers, it was a real treat.
We can’t wait to return

A stunning house with superb views. We came to celebrate New Year, the house was perfect for our large group. We loved the space, and our mixed age groups found the two individual houses worked for quieter times. The kitchens are really well equipped and we easily managed a New Years Day Roast Dinner for 14, everything had been well thought out.

We will be returning to enjoy a summer break.

There is nothing that hasn’t been thought of, our age range was 4 to 75 years young and every one has had the best pre- Xmas get together. We can’t wait to return to experience this part of Wales at its best.
From arrival to departure nothing is too much trouble, the owners have a wealth of knowledge about the area and history of the house.
The only criticism is we have to go home!
