Modern Apartment Overlooking Barmouth Beach | Hafan-Glan-Mor

Perched on the third floor of a handsome Victorian townhouse, Hafan Glan Mor is a modern apartment overlooking Barmouth Beach – and yes, the view is as good as it sounds. If you're after a breezy, stylish base with one eye on the sea and the other on the wine bottle, you’ve just struck coastal gold.

Step inside and you’re greeted by a dinky little porch with coat hooks and just enough room to kick off sandy shoes or soggy walking boots. Then it’s straight into the open plan living space – where soft lighting, clean lines, and warm tones invite you to plonk yourself down and not move for a while.

The kitchen runs neatly along one wall – sleek white units, wooden countertops and all the gear you need for cooking up something vaguely impressive. Or not. There’s a dining table if you're feeling civilised, and a navy L-shaped sofa that positively demands a nap.

But the real scene-stealer here? That gorgeous bay window. Two comfy chairs, a little table, and front-row seats to the ever-changing drama of Cardigan Bay. Coffee in the morning, wine at sunset, and storm-watching in between – this is your box office view.

The bedroom is calm, cosy and thoughtfully styled, with a double bed dressed in crisp white linen and pops of cheerful colour. There’s a smart shower room just off to the side – modern and compact with everything you need to feel human again after a long day of holidaying.

Hafan Glan Mor is ideal for couples looking to escape to the sea, slow things down, and soak up the salty air in comfort. Whether you’re walking the Mawddach Trail, pottering round the harbour, or doing absolutely nothing at all, this apartment makes the perfect retreat.

Location

You couldn’t ask for a better location. Hafan Glan Môr sits right on Barmouth’s iconic seafront, with unspoilt views across Cardigan Bay and the golden sands just steps from your door. The building is part of a grand Victorian terrace – full of character, charm, and probably a few stories of its own.

The beach is your back garden – whether you’re into long walks, cold dips or just toe-deep paddling. Barmouth’s bustling centre is a five-minute wander away, packed with pubs, fish and chip shops, cafés, and curious little shops. You’re well placed for exploring on foot, but the train station is also close by if you fancy a day trip up the coast (no need to worry about parking – bliss).

For outdoor lovers, Eryri National Park is on the doorstep, with hiking, biking and wild swimming spots all within easy reach. The Mawddach Trail, Harlech Castle, and even Cadair Idris are a short drive away. But we won’t judge if you spend all day watching the waves with a glass of something cold instead.
