Luxury Holiday Getaway With Hot Tub In Harlech | Hafod-Y-Morfa

Hafod-Y-Morfa is a stunning, luxury holiday getaway with hot tub in Harlech. Set 200m from Harlech beach and the famous Royal St Davids Golf Course, this modern holiday cottage is a real treasure and you’ll be booking it up for the following year as soon as you've set foot in it.

Totally enclosed, the new build is set over two floors. An upstairs balcony, complete with hot tub which overlooks the golf course and has uninterrupted views of the castle. It really could not be more beautiful.

The interior is stunning. Sleek, clean and airy, the downstairs is semi open-plan. The kitchen has high gloss units and floor tiles giving it that really modern feel. The big American style fridge freezer is always a great addition and the modern dark wood dining room table and chairs gives warmth along with splashes of colour from the soft furnishings. In terms of utilities, there is everything you will need to cater for your holiday and everything is of a high spec.

Through large wooden and glass, french doors from the kitchen brings you into the sitting room. A large, spacious room with lots of big windows. Wooden floors and plenty of cosy leather sofas means that everyone will be able to find the space to enjoy some downtime. There is a large log effect fire, it finishes the room off perfectly.

There is a second snug/games room on the ground floor with a games console. There is a double pull out sofa in here which comfortably sleeps two. There is also a WC on the ground floor.

Upstairs there are three bedrooms. Two twin rooms and a double. Two of the bedrooms open out onto the balcony where you will find the hot tub. There are also chairs and tables out here so plenty of opportunity to sit back and enjoy the views that are on offer.

All the bedrooms have been finished to a very high spec and feel like boutique style hotel rooms. Thick pile carpet, plump and inviting beds along with neutral colours set against blue walls make it all come together. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms; one has a lovely freestanding bath and a separate shower, the other has a large walk-in shower. There is also a family bathroom that has both a shower and a large corner bath. The bathrooms are again all very modern and tiled throughout.

Location

Hafod-Y-Morfa has a private enclosed garden, the outside is a great selling point. There is a small lawned areas to the back of the house with front is all laid with patio. The outdoor furniture, which includes table, chairs and sun loungers (during the summer, this place is a real sun trap) will enable you to make the most of being outside. Towards the back is an outside kitchen where you'll find a bbq along with butler sink etc under a sheltered area - all finished beautifully. The outside spiral staircase takes you up to the hot tub so you don’t have to always access from the bedrooms upstairs.

With regards to the location of the cottage, you are on Harlech’s Beach Road, 200m from a beautiful sandy beach and walking distance to the Royal St Davids Golf Course - it’s a really great location. Harlech itself has a lot on offer considering it is a small town. There is the castle of course with the attached visitors' centre. The high street has a number of cafes and restaurants and smaller gift shops. At the bottom end of town, there is a swimming pool and climbing wall.

You are really well placed to enjoy Snowdonia. Drive 20 minutes south and you come to Barmouth - a quintessential seaside town with everything you need to enjoy a day beside the seaside followed by a fab evening with all the restaurants, cafes, bars etc - there is lots going on here.

A little further south will bring you to Dolgellau where you'll find Coed Y Brenin - a fantastic place for mountain biking and if you have children in the mix, I would strongly recommend a day spent here.

North will take you to Porthmadog and Portmeirion Village. Porthmadog is where you will find all the main supermarkets and a good choice of shops and places to eat. The Ffestiniog Steam train sets off from here before chugging it’s way up into the mountains of Snowdonia. Portmeirion Village is an Italian inspired village in North Wales and if you like the unusual, you should certainly make a point of going to visit.

The main towns and villages of Snowdonia are between 30 - 60 minutes away in the car and here is where you will find Zip World, Adventure Parc Snowdonia and of course all the mountains, lakes and rivers for walking, climbing, water sports, including white water rafting!

We’ve had a fantastic few days at Haford-Y-Morfa. The house was very clean when we arrived and it has such lovely facilities which we made good use of. The hot tub was fantastic even with the colder weather and the outside covered barbecue was brilliant. Stunning kitchen and living accommodation. It has clearly been designed for a luxurious and very comfortable holiday.

The team who look after it were on hand with any questions we had and very attentive. Excellent.

Harlech was quiet due to the time of year with quite a few bits closed first half of the week but we did end up having a nice meal at the Queens hotel just a five minute walk up the Beach road which was lovely and very good value for money.

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property and Dioni.

We had an amazing week at this beautiful home, despite the weather not always being in our favour. The house is huge, a fantastic living room with a beautiful fire, handy on colder evenings and so lovely to look at. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, just remember to take your own kitchen roll, cooking oil and condiments. There was a generous welcome hamper left for us that contained some lovely goodies. The beds are lush, we had such great sleeps there! We used the hot tub a couple of times and it was a real treat with the view of the castle. And on our final day the weather permitted us to use the BBQ, absolutely brilliant. The owners are so helpful there and helped us light the BBQ as we were having difficulties. This was just the perfect stay, for me it was the ideal house. Close to the beach and everything you need close by. Thank you Dioni and Min y Don for looking after us.

Just back from a lovely week, the house is beautiful and perfect size for our extended family and dogs. Immaculately clean and tidy and lovely hamper when we arrived, could do with instructions for the microwave as it’s actually the oven which you would never have known so we had to ring up and ask as it appeared there was no microwave which was needed for our daughter. Gorgeous views and lovely walk through the golf course to the beach. Can’t wait to come back next year.

We have recently returned from a week’s stay at Hafod y Morfa. We were a family group of six adults and two boys aged five and two.The house surpassed our expectations in the high standard of fittings throughout and in its spaciousness. We couldn’t believe how big the lounge was. The sofas in there were so comfortable. The parking provision impressed us; ample parking for three cars within the grounds and more parking space on the quiet road outside. The garden was a hit with the two little boys, the barbecue and hot tub with the adults and, of course, the setting between beach and castle is superb. We appreciated being within walking distance of amenities; local shop, pub, station. We hope to return.

This was the forth time we’ve stayed at Hafod-Y-Morfa but the first time with friends. House was delightful as always, plenty of room for 4 adults, 3 children and 2 dogs! Clean and well equipped and the team were on hand to bring us a few missing items when asked for. Proximity to the beach is fantastic, as is the view of the castle and golf course from the hot tub on an evening. Only minor thing is the garden patio could have done with a good sweep to get rid of dried leaves. But I am sure we’ll be back again in the future.

Just returned from a lovely stay at this property. It’s in a fantastic location being close to the wonderful beach and 2 good pubs. Hot tub was fantastic with great view. House was spotlessly clean and beds very comfortable. It’s very light and airy with plenty of space. Would highly recommended.

This was our second visit and it was just as glorious as our first (will also be booking a third next year). Everything about our stay was so relaxed, we chose to just chill and did so quite easily. The house itself is so comfortable (the bed especially) with everything and more you’d have at home. The hot tub balcony view is Harlech Castle and the beautiful hills of Wales. My husband did a walk each morning to the golf course, through to the beach, up to then beyond Harlech Castle, he loved it coming back invigorated. The spaciousness of the kitchen and lounge is fantastic, leading on to the BBQ and outside eating area. I could go on and on and on about this home (because it feels like home) however we are now back in the real world having left two days ago, ah well until next time…

Well our second family holiday time at this fantastic home, we love the space inside & out.
The hot tub on the balcony is a great place to be in the evening overlooking the golf course & the castle all lit up.
We also made use of the roofed bbq, can’t recommend this place enough it’s perfect for a family break & just a short stroll from the beach.

The accommodation was recommended by my daughter she did not let us down, it looked great from the outside on entering we loved it we had seen the photos online, but the real thing surpassed them. I will be definitely recommending this property and Dioni Holiday Cottages to others
