Three Bedroom Holiday Cottage in Betws-Y-Coed | Hendre-Wen

We all thoroughly enjoyed our week in Hendre Wen, Betws-y-Coed. The house was spacious and clean, and had everything we needed in the home, and it was nice to sit out in the back garden. It’s well located to walk into the town and shops in one direction and to Swallow Falls in the other direction. There is a bus stop a minute’s walk away where you can pick up a bus to take you to the start of two routes to walk up Snowdon. A great base to stay as there are lots of places to visit within about a half hour’s drive north, west or south of the town.

Another really comfortable and pleasant stay in this well appointed and very well maintained holiday let with a new and really comfortable mattress (for us anyway) and super WiFi.

Located conveniently close (not too close) to Betws y coed for eating out or topping up the groceries , and benefitting from easy access to all the main routes for easy access to all that North Wales has to offer. We would highly recommend Hendre -Wen.

Hendre-Wen is a lovely holiday home and we throughly enjoyed our stay there. It was warm , cosy and spotlessly clean . The beds were extremely comfortable………….a definite plus point in any holiday home. It was a only a short walk into Betws-Y-Coed and we would definitely recommend to others .

Hendre Wen is a lovely place to stay to explore North Wales. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The property owner did an excellent job of providing information on the property as well as maps and things to do in the local area. Would highly recommend!

Cottage was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It’s situated in a good position with an easy walk into Betws y Coed and within easy reach to so many beautiful places.

We had a lovely week at Hendre Wen, the house was immaculately clean and very comfortable. The views are amazing as is the area. At the beginning of our week we saw the river in full spate and by the end of the week it was like a millpond, just beautiful.

Excellent house in a fantastic location. Perfect place to relax before and after some Snowdon climbing. Easy walk in to the town for access to pubs, restaurants and shops. Would definitely book again when we come back to the area.

Lovely cottage great location. Well equipped with everything you need ,very clean beds really comfortable and brilliant shower well needed for when you’ve been walking .Nice little garden to sit out in the evenings watching the sun go down.Would definitely recommend 👌

Just come back from a weeks stay at Hendre Wen. Everything was just perfect. The house was spotlessly clean and the kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. Gorgeous view from the back and the garden was perfect for sitting out in.
We will definitely be back!
P.S. Take coffee filters as it’s a filter machine rather than a cafetière (which was fab) 😊

I have just finished my second visit to Hendre Wen and as previously thoroughly enjoyed staying there. Spotlessly clean with all provisioned for. I couldn’t hope for a better base to enjoy Betws y Coed and explore the surrounding area. I hope to make a third visit if health permits. Dioni are a wonderful company to deal with.

This was our third stay at Hendre Wen and it won’t be our last, we love it here, it’s so comfortable and spotlessly clean, with so much to do in the local area and places to visit. We would definitely recommend a stay for everyone here.

We had a lovely four night stay in Hendre-Wen. The house was extremely clean and well-equipped and was a very comfortable home from home. The location is an excellent base for exploring North Wales and the host had included plenty of local information and maps to help us decide what to do each day. We wouldn’t hesitate booking again. We really felt at home in Hendre wen and a lot of care was taken to ensure it is spotlessly clean . The owner leaves lots of information about the house and it is effortless and everything works . Great location . A dishwasher would have topped it all off but it wasn’t essential. Would stay again in this lovely house .

A very clean and comfortable cottage, with everything you could need. Plenty of cleaning things, hand wash, toilet paper etc. .
It was ideally situated for visiting the main places of interest and perfect for walking into Betws y coed to obtain a nice meal

This lovely house was very comfortable and relaxing with everything that we needed provided. It was well situated for most North Wales attractions and easy walking distance to the centre of Betws y Coed which was very busy, especially at the weekends.

Third time staying at Hendre Wen. Property as clean and comfortable as the previous times. It has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Perfect location outside the main part of the town (which can get very busy these days) but close enough to walk in if you want to eat out or take in the sights.

We picked Hendre-Wen as we wanted somewhere in North Wales near amenities and the family that we were looking to visit in Llanwrst, Conwy, Anglesey, Deganwy and Llandudno. The property was spotlessly clean and the owners have thought of everything that you could need. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

A great holiday let with all the mod cons you would expect from a newish build, everything was to a high standard of cleanliness and we could not fault the quality of the appliances, loads of rooms (there were only the 2 of us) and the garden was a pleasure to sit in after returning from a day out. We would highly recommend Hendre-Wen

This was our third stay, in this lovely property on the outskirts of Betws y Coed. The stay was a little different this time due to covid but felt very safe as the house was (as usual) immaculately clean. As in previous stays the house is very well equipped and feels like a real home from home. Lots of walks in the beautiful woodland in and around the village which has recharged the batteries. Thank you for another much needed lovely stay – we have come back relaxed and refreshed. Hope to be back again soon.

Absolutely fabulous, well equipped accommodation. Been self catering now for over 20 years and is by far the best place we have stayed. Fabulous walks around the village and surrounding area. First time in North Wales and definitely not the last. We will definitely be back. Diolch yn fawr

Lovely house, absolutely spotless throughout and supplied with almost everything you could possibly need!

The only thing I could suggest would be to add a wall mirror in the twin room as I did miss this when drying hair/doing make up.

Second visit was just as good as the first. This is a perfect spot to explore snowdonia. Clean, comfortable, has everything you need. We’ve only just got home and are lready trying to decide when to come back.

Being located in Betws-Y-Coed it is ideally suited as a base to explore Snowdonia and the surrounding areas. The house was spotlessly clean and tidy. The owner has taken time to provide a comprehensive amount of tourist literature and local history books, with the framed map a useful guide.

We had a very enjoyable Snowdonian holiday based in Hendre Wen on the western fringe of the pleasant village of Betws-y-coed.
Immaculately clean, very well equipped and comfortable, Hendre Wen was ideally suited to satisfying our requirements and surpassed our expectations. It also represented excellent value for money.

Betws-y-coed is a lovely place with good services. The setting is a particular delight and we were able to leave the car on the drive for a couple of days while we explored the riverside and forest walks, marvelled at the spectacular waterfalls and sampled the local eating establishments.

We are well travelled and have experienced wide ranges of accommodation and service offerings in our time. Our appreciation of Hendre Wen and Betws-y-coed in general is probably best illustrated by there being no regret or hardship in returning at the end of each day and we genuinely hope to become returning customers in the not too distant future.

Simply brilliant cottage/house. We`ve stayed in a lot of holiday lets and this was simply the best…you have raised the bar so high we are going to struggle to ever find anything on a par! Spotlessly clean with everything you need ( we left a pack of playing cards). Really comfortable beds, which we think is a massive plus as you start the day refreshed rather than wishing you were back in your own bed! Great location for local walks and down into the village for pubs/food. We would highly recommend staying here and wouldn`t hesitate to book again…thanks for a magic week ( we actually got engaged whilst we were there) you have obviously worked very hard to provide a first class product…and you have succeeded.

Hendre Wen is a beautiful and well equipped holiday home and made a very comfortable base for us to explore the local area from. The local information and maps helped us plan our days out and it was a pleasure to relax in the house and the garden in the evenings. We loved our week here and will definitely return in the future.

Absolutly beautiful cottage cottage with stunning views. We had a wonderful stay and would definately return couldn’t recommend it enough. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect to explore snowdonia with beautiful betwy s coed on the door step.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is very well equipped and there is lots of information on what to do in the local area. Location is also great (just a 10 minute walk down in to town).

Very nice house in a very nice place. Immaculate clean with all appliances we needed (and more). Very roomy for the four persons we stayed in it. Ideal if someone is interested for mountain sports (like me – so I think I’ll come back with my friends this time.

Great stay in this lovely cottage. One of the best equipped self catering cottages we have stayed in and a real home from home. Love this cottage, hence our second holiday here this year. Well equipped and comfortable. Would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting to visit the area or explore snowdonia. Just far enough from main town to enjoy dome peace but close enough so that a short walk will get you amongst the bustle of a tourist hot-spot. Really enjoyed both our stays here. We had an excellent holiday staying at Hendre-Wen. It is a modern, warm, spacious cottage situated in a beautiful location only 10 minutes walk from the centre of Betws-Y-Coed. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could want in a holiday cottage. There are beautiful walks along the river and forest right outside the door and mountain bike trails. We packed a lot into a week but would love to come back!

A tastefully decorated, well organised holiday cottage with everything thought through. Parking area, private garden, and within easy walking distance of centre of Betws y coed. Very convenient local bus service to foot of Snowdon too. A super cottage, good location, we would thoroughly recommend it.

Really lovely, comfortable and well equipped modern cottage. Lovely area and so much to do. We couldn’t fit everything in during our stay so we’ll be back. Highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic property. Beautifully decorated, extremely clean and very comfortable. We have just spent 7 nights here in the most glorious weather so made good use of the garden which is a real sun trap. It’s very quiet even though there is a school just across the road – however the sheep were noisy at times (bleating away together 🙂 ). I don’t think there is anything that would make it better to be honest.

Hendre Wen was a fantastic central base for North Wales and one that I would like to return to, perhaps in May next year!! The accommodation is superb for my needs and is very comfortable and has all that one requires for a self catering holiday. I am a long standing self catering holiday maker and whilst I have stopped in more luxurious properties at times in the past, Hendre Wen is as good a property I have stopped in at the next level down.

See my review of 29 October 2017. This is still a great place to stay for getting to places in North Wales. Lovely property and very comfortable. I mentioned in October that the WiFi signal was a little on the weak side. I can confirm from our stay in April that this has been well and truly rectified – the signal is now very strong! This was a must for the week we stayed because the weather was particularly unkind.

We just wanted to let you know that the owners have now put a WIFI booster in the cottage which now gives great WIFI coverage throughout the property along with faster download speeds.

Hendre Wen is a very warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean property in a lovely, peaceful location. It is a mere ten minutes walk away from the centre of Betws-y-Coed, with all the many amenities that the village has to offer. There is a good choice of restaurants and cafes, souvenir and outdoor shops and a well stocked Spar. There are numerous local walks right from the front door, and it was lovely to return to this well equipped property after a good day out. The one and only negative comment we have to make about Hendre Wen is the very poor WiFi coverage in the house but, apart from that, we were very pleased with our choice!

This is a great property with all mod cons. Very comfortable and clean and everything looks pretty new. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the centre of Betws-y-Coed and about 9 miles to places like Llanberis and Llyn Ogwen for walkers/climbers – so it truly is a gateway to Snowdonia. If you need to use the wifi, be prepared to move to the breakfast bar in the kitchen as it’s the only place you’ll get a strong signal. I would definitely recommend this property and will be looking to stay here again.

Hendre-Wen is a lovely quiet, warm, clean, spacious,comfortable welcoming holiday home which is the best equipped accommodation we have stayed in. This is a great central position for exploring Snowdonia and its dramatic landscape and is within walking distance of the excellent local facilities.
We enjoyed our stay here very much and will definitely return.

We had an excellent stay at Hendre-Wen. It was warm, comfortable and in an excellent location for climbing the many mountains of Snowdonia. There are numerous local facilities within walking distance from the house. We would suggest a couple of boot trays to go in the hallway for dirty boots and other outdoor shoes to live in. We lined the area with newspaper to keep the floor clean but it was a little untidy – only a small point though in an otherwise well equipped town house. We intend to return next year for at least one visit.

One of the wonderful holidays we ever had.Lovely cottage,clean ,spacious and tidy,always gave us a homely feeling.The sound of water falls near by gave us a refreshing and nostalgic feeling.Would highly recommend for those who like a peaceful stay in a lovely village area .

This is a lovely house, very well appointed, clean and modern. it is spacious throughout, with two very large and one small bedrooms with comfortable beds and good linen. It is on the edge of the village, so a quick walk for most people to the centre, but a fair distance for the less able or elderly, like myself, who had to drive down.

At the moment wi-fi is very restricted, so may not be so good for someone who wants to carry on working while there, but that didn’t spoil our holiday at all.

We felt very much at home and Would thoroughly recommend this holiday house.
