With a great location near the coast and mountains, Isgoed is a lovingly renovated three bedroom schoolhouse in Eryri, perfect for exploring North Wales. This attractive stone property sleeps six, with a beautifully fitted out interior combining modern styles and the character of the building.

A gravel path leads up to the front door of the gabled property, entering into a spacious dining room. A farmhouse dining table takes centre stage, with six high back leather dining chairs and modern pendant lights hanging above. A coat and boot rack is located next to the door, with a chunky wooden sideboard on the opposite wall. With walls painted in a warm duck egg blue and oak effect wood flooring, the space is cosy and inviting and the perfect spot to gather for breakfast or an evening meal, making plans for tomorrow's adventures. A door in the corner of the dining room leads to a ground floor cloakroom.

All good dining rooms should be complemented by a good kitchen, and the one at Isgoed is no exception. To the rear of the property, a beautifully fitted out kitchen features modern units finished in glossy white with a granite effect top and slate tiles to the floor. The U-shaped kitchen units feature an island counter with stylish stools located to one side - the perfect spot for breakfast, or keeping the chef of the house company while sipping a glass of something cold. With a washing machine, dishwasher, eye level double oven and gas hob, the kitchen has everything needed to whip up some fabulous meals.

French doors from the kitchen lead through to a secluded conservatory overlooking the small back garden. With wingback armchairs and a comfy leather sofa, it's a fabulous spot to cosy up with a good book when there is some downtime. Completing the ground floor layout, a door from the dining room leads to the property's fabulous lounge area. The room perfectly combines traditional with modern, with the exposed stone chimney breast and wood burner sitting alongside contemporary furniture in a rich palette of bright colours. The decor is simple and effective, with local artwork on the walls as a reminder of the surrounding area.

Stairs from the dining room lead to the first floor of this lovingly renovated three bedroom schoolhouse in Eryri, comprising two double bedrooms, a bunk room and a wonderful bathroom. Both double bedrooms are located to the front of the house, with the first featuring a lovely wooden framed bed sitting between two bedside cabinets with lamps. A matching dresser with storage drawers and wardrobe also feature, alongside a wall mounted TV. With a grey floral print on the feature wall, a green throw on the bed adds a splash of colour. The second double, next door, includes a divan style bed with cushioned headboard sitting in front of a floral feature wall with green tones. Contemporary bedroom furniture in this room include bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers and an open clothes storage unit. The final bedroom is a smaller room featuring wooden bunks, styled with bright yellow fabrics and cushions. Completing the layout, a beautiful bathroom features Victorian style fittings including a gorgeous freestanding roll top bath, a walk in shower cubicle, pedestal sink and WC. Painted rich blue with a glass chandelier, this stylish bathroom is great for a nice relaxing soak after a long day out exploring.

Location

Located in the village of Talsarnau, this lovingly renovated three bedroom schoolhouse in Eryri provides easy access to the beaches of North West Wales, the heart of Eryri and the wonderful Llyn Peninsula. A ten minute drive leads to the town of Harlech, with it's elevated setting above Bae Ceredigion dominated by a 13th century castle. This medieval fortress sits on a rocky outcrop with panoramic views of the surrounding area. The town features a range of independent shops alongside cute cafes and the second steepest street in the world, Ffordd Pen Lech, with a gradient of 37.45%. Be sure to visit Harlech's magnificent golden sand beach which stretches miles along the bay. Flanked by large sand dunes, this beach is wonderful on summer days but equally enjoyable for brisk winter walks.

Fifteen minutes north of the property, one of the most popular attractions in the area can be found. Portmeirion, an Italianate village designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in the early 20th century, features a collection of beautifully ornate and colourful buildings alongside stunning landscaped gardens. Once the set of the 1960's TV show The Prisoner, the village is open to the public for a fee and is a joy to explore. From Portmeirion, continue onto the stunning Llyn Peninsula, with its wild and wonderful beaches, as well as pretty coastal villages. For coastal walking, the Wales Coast Path takes in some dramatic scenery along the Peninsula.

It's only about twenty minutes to the heart of Eryri from Isgoed. The mountain villages of Beddgelert and Llanberis are fabulous spots to start some wonderful hikes taking in the best of Eryri's scenery. Whether it's coastline, mountains, attractions or just looking for a home from home to relax, this property ticks all the boxes.

A lovely property, lots of lovely touches and tasty treats left by the owners. A beautiful setting in easy reach of everything in North Wales.

A really lovely house and spotlessly clean. Very spacious and stylish, as shown, with powerful central heating – it even extends to the conservatory. At the side of the house a footpath climbs to give excellent views across the estuary from the lane at the top. Great breakfast baps from the van at the other end of the village. As can be seen, it’s very close to the main road so its worth noting that both adult bedrooms are at the front of the house,

A wonderful cottage with lovely hosts. It’s ideally situated in a great location for visiting lots of places. Cottage is spacious with large bright airy rooms and is tastefully decorated.
We had a wonderful time and if ever back in the area would book this cottage again without hesitation.
