Tucked away in the rolling hills of the Conwy Valley in North Wales, Little Oak is a romantic restored granary retreat for two where rustic charm meets modern comfort. Surrounded by peaceful countryside and far-reaching views, it offers a true sense of escape - a place where guests come to slow down, switch off and enjoy the quiet beauty of the landscape. If you’re dreaming of cosy nights by the fire, lazy mornings in a king-size bed and scenic walks straight from your doorstep, this is the perfect hideaway.

The moment you enter Little Oak, you’re welcomed by the warmth of a real fire, exposed stone walls and wooden beams that whisper tales of the granary’s past. The cosy living space features a plush sofa, Smart TV and log burner, perfect for curling up with a book or a glass of wine after a day exploring the valley.

The dining area is set for intimate meals, while the desk space makes this an ideal spot for a workcation if you can resist the call of the mountains and countryside outside.

The kitchen blends country charm with modern convenience, fully equipped with an oven, hob, coffee machine and plenty of counter space for preparing a relaxed breakfast before heading out for the day.

The spacious king-size bedroom is a dream. Soft lighting, crisp linens and a separate sitting area create a luxurious retreat. Wake up to beautiful countryside views and the quiet stillness of the surrounding landscape before stepping into your private en-suite WC. It’s also perfect for letting your four-legged friend stretch their legs, as this retreat is pet-friendly. Private parking is available, making it easy to explore the surrounding beauty.

Many guests comment on how peaceful it feels here, often spending time simply relaxing and enjoying the calm surroundings. This romantic North Wales getaway for two is all about slowing down, enjoying nature and escaping the everyday.

Location

Nestled in Conwy Valley, Little-Oak offers the best of coastal and countryside adventures. You’re just a short drive from Conwy, a UNESCO-listed medieval town with its impressive 13th-century castle and charming waterfront. The bustling village of Betws-y-Coed, known as the Gateway to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, is also nearby, offering scenic walks, waterfalls, and independent shops.

For the ultimate challenge, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)—the highest mountain in Wales—is within easy reach, whether you plan to hike to the summit or take the scenic train. The lakes, forests, and peaks of Eryri National Park are all at your doorstep, making this the perfect base for walking, cycling, and exploring the great outdoors.

And if all that fresh air builds up an appetite, the local pub is within a mile, serving hearty Welsh dishes and a well-earned pint.

Great stay in a beautiful cottage. We felt right at home with Rob and and Jessica always available if we needed anything. Rob was very knowledgeable in of local area and suggestions on where to visit. Absolutely loved the log fire! Would highly recommend!

A lovely, peaceful location with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside, waking up everh morning to just the bleating of sheep. We stayed in the old grannary, Granar Gwaew, which had been delightfully turned into a one bedroom cottage by owners Rob and Jessica who made us very welcome. In fact after just a few days they felt like friends. Thank you Rob and Jessica.
