Welcome to Meillionen-Fach, a picturesque slate-roofed stone cottage set on a traditional working farm at the tranquil tip of the Llyn Peninsula. If you have been searching for the ideal romantic cottage Llyn Peninsula holidaymakers dream of, this stone hideaway effortlessly pairs authentic rustic charm with modern comfort - so you can enjoy all the idyllic farm atmosphere without having to pitch a tent or herd any runaway sheep.

Stepping through the glazed front door brings you straight into the warm, open-plan ground floor. Low wooden ceiling beams and thick whitewashed stone walls frame a living space anchored by a stone hearth and a log burner - complete with a complimentary basket of logs and kindling to get things properly toasted on arrival. A deep, plush sofa and armchair sit directly opposite the fire and a Smart TV, creating a dangerously comfortable setup for a quiet evening in. Tucked just behind the main lounge area, a circular oak dining table sets the scene for slow, lazy breakfasts. Directly behind the dining nook, a contemporary shaker-style kitchen stretches along the rear wall, fully equipped with an electric hob, integrated oven, microwave, and dishwasher, while a washing machine is neatly housed in the utility space tucked under the stairs. Outside, younger guests will also find a shared playroom to burn off any leftover evening energy.

Climbing the carpeted staircase reveals the light-filled first-floor bedroom suite. Here, an impressive exposed stone accent wall serves as the backdrop to a king-size bed boasting a high-quality mattress and crisp linen. Windows fitted with blackout blinds face southwards over fields of grazing cattle to a glint of the sea beyond. A separate armchair-sofa in the room functions as a single sofa bed for a young child, while a second Smart TV, vanity table, and ornamental period fireplace complete the sanctuary. It is exactly the kind of setup that makes this such a sought-after romantic cottage Llyn Peninsula getaway for couples (and up to two well-behaved dogs). Just off the landing sits a separate, light shower room fitted with a power shower, WC, and washbasin.

Outside, stone walling encloses a private gravelled patio equipped with outdoor dining furniture and a parasol - offering a prime front-row seat to peaceful rural life.

Location

Nestled in the quiet rural hamlet of Rhoshirwaun on a working farm, Meillionen-Fach puts you right at the scenic tip of the Llyn Peninsula. Coastal explorers are thoroughly spoiled for choice: Porth Ysgo, arguably one of North Wales' finest hidden coves, is a quick five-minute drive away. Just five minutes further down the road lies the popular seaside village of Aberdaron, famous for its sweeping sandy bay, historic church by the shore, fresh local seafood, and seasonal boat trips to Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli).

Surfers and coastal walkers can easily reach the famous 'whistling sands' of Porth Oer and the dramatic waves at Hell’s Mouth (Porth Neigwl). Heading approximately 20 minutes east brings you to the fashionable coastal hotspot of Abersoch, packed with trendy boutiques, lively bars, and waterside cafes. Nearby Llanbedrog offers sheltered waters and iconic headland walks, while the bustling market town of Pwllheli sits 15 miles east for local markets and marina sights. For mountain day-trips, the dramatic western boundary of Eryri (Snowdonia National Park) sits comfortably under 20 miles to the east.
