If you’ve been dreaming of a coastal escape with sea views, a private hot tub, and a pool table with your name on it - Penbryn-Bach might just be the cottage-shaped answer to your “I need a break” moment.

Set near the charming seaside town of Aberdaron on the Llyn Peninsula, Penbryn-Bach is a large, stylish, and pet-friendly holiday home that sleeps 10. Inside, it’s all whitewashed walls, exposed beams, nautical flourishes and a healthy dose of "ooh that’s nice!" around every corner.

Let’s start with the bedrooms. The master has a double bed, an en suite shower room, and sea views you’ll pretend not to be smug about. Another double offers an en suite with garden views, and there’s a further double room and a bunk room that sleeps four - ideal for younger adventurers or competitive adults. You’ll also find a family bathroom with a tub, and a separate shower room with a walk-in.

The kitchen is a delight: shaker-style cupboards, brass finishes, wooden worktops, and all the gadgets you need (including a dishwasher, because you’re on holiday). Leading off is the show-stopping sunroom-dining area - underfloor heating, glass ceiling, bi-fold doors, and a big table for slow breakfasts and celebratory dinners.

The lounge is made for mooching: comfy corner sofa, log burner, Smart TV, and a blanket or three. And when you need to burn off a scone or settle a family rivalry? The games room has a pool table, shuffleboard, bar stools and enough space for a full tournament.

Outside, the enclosed garden is mature and well-tended, with a furnished patio and a hot tub tucked discreetly around the corner - perfect for post-hike soaking or starry-night relaxing.

Heating throughout is via easy-to-control electric oil radiators, plus underfloor heating in the bathrooms and orangery. Cosy and clever.

Whether you’re planning coastal rambles, lazy beach days, or just want a good book, good company, and a bottle of wine under a sky full of stars - Penbryn-Bach offers it all. Dogs are welcome too (someone has to clean up the crumbs).

Location

Penbryn-Bach is tucked away in the rolling hills just outside Aberdaron, at the heart of the Llyn Peninsula - one of Wales’ most treasured coastal corners. You’ll feel blissfully secluded, but the essentials are all close at hand.

You’re under three miles from Pwllheli Beach - a long stretch of sand with views out across Cardigan Bay. There’s a pub and shop within a mile, so no need to panic if the wine runs out. The Wales Coast Path runs nearby, offering clifftop walks, hidden coves, and more panoramic photo ops than your camera roll can handle.

A short drive gets you to Aberdaron, Porthdinllaen and the Insta-famous Ty Coch Inn on the beach. Garn Boduan, with its Iron Age hillfort and sweeping views, makes for a great morning climb. And if you fancy something wilder, Eryri (Snowdonia) is less than an hour away - mountains, lakes, and legends included.

Fancy a boat trip? Bardsey Island (Ynys Enlli), the island of 20,000 saints, is nearby and makes for a dramatic day out. Or just stay local - Pwllheli’s markets, artisan bakeries and indie cafés have everything you need.

Whether you’re here to hike, hot tub or hoover up local seafood, Penbryn-Bach makes a beautiful, well-connected base.

Firstly, the location is fantastic with sweeping views over fields and out to sea. It really was picturesque and a wonderful place to stay.
The property is large with decent sized bedrooms and a nicely kitted-out kitchen. The games room was a highlight of our stay and several games of darts, pool and air hockey were played all throughout our stay.
We were a party of eight and there was plenty of room and places to bath/shower.
There were a few issues with the plumbing and the lay out to the house but to be honest, it didn’t spoil our mini break in anyway and I would highly recommend the accommodation for any small to medium group.

What a lovely individual cottage beautifully furnished, decorated and very well equipped with everything you need. Quiet location with lovely far reaching views of the sea and hills in the distance. The welcome pack was a really nice touch and the cottage was nice and warm when we arrived and decorated with Christmas tree etc which again was a lovely touch. Plenty of lovely beaches and walks either from the cottage or a short drive away. Hot tub was lovely even this time of year! Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in Penbryn Bach. The house has been renovated to a really high standard, and was beautifully clean, with everything we needed to hand. We particularly enjoyed using the big dining room table for puzzles, games and family dinners, and the cosy log fire was a great backdrop to many a game of cluedo! The garden was huge and although we stayed in October half term, the children were still able to make good use of the football goals – perfect for letting off some of that endless energy! We used the hot tub on multiple occasions in all weathers, and the games room was a real hit too – such a great addition! Although the location is fairly remote (we are City dwellers!) this added to the tranquility of our stay – we enjoyed a hike up the local mountain and flew kites on the beach at Aberdaron too. Thank you for a wonderful break – we will be back 🙂
