Set in a rural location, Plas Newydd is a beautiful house on the Llyn Peninsula with a heated swimming pool from Easter until October, ideally suited for a large gathering of family or friends. The sprawling traditional farmhouse property features seven bedrooms and a number of communal rooms for socialising and relaxing. Set in beautiful grounds with a heated outdoor pool, there's plenty of green space and a brook running through the garden. Located near the town of Aberdaron, it's a fantastic base to explore all the Llyn Peninsula has to offer.

The property is separated into two sections with a side wing to the main house. Entering the front door of the main house, the hallway leads to a ground floor twin bedroom to the right, which has beautiful ivory cast beds.. Across the hallway, a door leads into the first sitting area, a cosy room with log burner set into a large stone inglenook with wooden beam lintel. Two leather sofas and an armchair are placed around a coffee table with a TV in the corner of the room. It's the perfect room for a socialising in the evening, or grabbing a book and settling down to the backdrop of a crackling log fire. The flooring of this beautiful room has recently been upgraded to natural oak hardwood flooring.

The sitting room leads through to a large kitchen and dining room. Traditional wooden dressers and cupboards are located around the room, with a centrally located farmhouse dining table seating up to twelve. The kitchen area of the space features a large oil fired AGA which makes for a cosy area to gather for a catch up, family gatherings and occasions. With quarry tiles laid on the floor, timber beams and traditional decor, this really shows the character of the 18th century property. A secondary kitchen is located next to the kitchen diner featuring an electric oven and hob, microwave, sink, dishwasher, fridges and freezers alongside ample storage and worktop space. This kitchen leads through to utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, along with a cloakroom to the rear of the property.

Heading up to the first floor of the main house, the upstairs layout consists of four bedrooms, a bathroom and a shower room. The large master bedroom is beautiful, built into the eaves of the property with exposed beams. The room features a wooden framed king size bed with bedside cabinets, large chest of drawers, wardrobe and leather sofa along with an en-suite cloakroom. A second double bedroom features a wooden framed bed painted white with matching furniture set and traditional fireplace painted black. The final two bedrooms on this floor comprise a bright and airy single room with bed, bedside cabinet, chest of drawers and wardrobe while the fourth bedroom features a set of bunks finished in white, with bedside table, chest of drawers and open hanging space. The main family bathroom is traditionally decorated with wooden flooring, alongside wooden half panelled walls. A Victorian style WC and basin sits alongside a beautiful freestanding roll top bath finished in dark blue with a hand held shower over. The shower room next door includes a walk in shower cubicle and basin.

The side wing of this beautiful house on the Llyn Peninsula with a swimming pool can be accessed via a glazed corridor from the dining room, or via a second front door. The front door opens directly into the secondary lounge area, a bright and spacious room with a mix of stone and roughly plastered walls, along with exposed timber beams. A dark red leather three seater sofa, two seater sofa and armchair sit alongside a coffee table in the centre of the room and a TV in the corner. A table lamp and standard lamp offer a mix of soft lighting in the darker evenings, but during the day light floods in via a window to the front aspect and French door to the side, opening into the beautiful garden area. Tucked away to the rear of the lounge is a small study area with desk, allowing a space to work if required.

An ornate metal spiral staircase leads from the side wing lounge to the first floor, which includes two further bedrooms and a bathroom. The first bedroom, a double room, features a wooden framed bed along with bedside tables, chest of drawers and hanging space. The second bedroom, also sleeping two, features two single beds with bedside tables, wardrobe and comfy armchair. The bathroom of side wing is a bright room, tiles in white with a wood effect floor. A bath includes a shower over and the basin and WC are built into units including plenty of storage space for toiletries.

Stepping stones lead onto the lawns and to a stream running through the grounds at the end of the garden. It's an idyllic spot. The pièce de résistance of the property is tucked away to rear of the garden. A stunning and inviting large outdoor headed swimming pool is set into a large patio area, featuring a relaxed seating area consisting of rattan sofas set around a glass topped table. As tempting as it would be to relax in the many rooms of Plas Newydd, or lounge around in the gardens and swimming pool, the Llyn Peninsula of North Wales is a fantastic and beautiful area to explore. The seaside resort of Aberdaron is less than a ten minute drive from the property with a beautiful sandy beach and a number of cafes. It's the ideal spot for a summers day on the coast, and provides the option to set off in either direction along the Wales Coast Path to witness the stunning coastline of the area. Heading east from Aberdaron, the popular resort of Abersoch is about twenty minutes away. A thriving seaside town, it's a vibrant spot with another beautiful golden sand beach and a host of cool bars, cafes and restaurants.

Another popular coastal spot on the Llyn Pensisula that shouldn't be missed is Porthdinllaen. Located on the north west coast of the Peninsula, the small waterside village can only be accessed by walking across the headland and down onto the beach featuring the world famous Ty Coch Inn, a beachfront pub and bar that holds a number of summer events and has been rated one of the best beach bars in the world. Right here in North Wales. The Llyn Peninsula is all about the fabulous coastline, so for fans of the beach and the sea, Plas Newydd is a fantastic base for a fabulous North Wales break.

I had a great stay here, loved the pool. We went down to Abersoch and had an amazing time.

Some nights we would stay in and sit in front of the fire, it was lovely and warm

I would rate this property 10 out of 10
