For a taste of coastal life, look no further than Swyn-Y-Don, a wonderful holiday cottage near beautiful Llandanwg Beach. This three bedroom, single storey detached stone property has an amazing outdoor area with an outdoor kitchen/bbq, hot tub and seating area, with a beautiful and modern interior. Sleeping up to six people, this is a great holiday destination for a family or group of friends.

The front door opens into an L-shaped hallway, from where all rooms are accessed. To the left, a large lounge diner is beautifully finished with oak wood strip flooring and windows to three aspects, creating a bright and airy space. A fireplace with wooden lintel over houses a real fire log burner, providing a cosy feel on cold winter evenings. An L shaped leather sofa is located to one end, around an oak coffee table, and facing a Smart TV mounted on a corner unit. A six seater dining table is positioned to the far end of the room, perfect for gathering around for breakfast or evenings catching up after days out exploring the area.

Next to the lounge diner, the property's galley style kitchen is small but perfectly formed. Maximising the space, modern kitchen units are located to all walls, finished with cream coloured doors and wooden worktops. A Belfast sink sits under the window, alongside a kettle, toaster and microwave oven. To the end wall, a built in electric oven and hob are surrounded by additional worktop spaces, wine bottle storage and further cupboards. A useful hatch located between the dining area and kitchen, making serving meals simple and convenient. A door from the kitchen opens to a rear utility room with washing machine and dryer, leading out into the private garden which has a hot tub, a super cool outdoor kitchen/bbq and comfortable outdoor seating with a beautiful lawned area to relax.

Heading to the bedrooms of this holiday cottage near beautiful Llandanwg Beach, the three rooms comprise of a double, a twin and a bedroom with a set of bunks. The double room features a divan bed with fabric headboard finished in a patterned blue with matching cushions and throw on the bed. White bedside cabinets sit either side of the bed with lamps, and a large glass topped white chest of drawers and sliding wardrobe complete the layout. The adjacent twin bedroom features two single beds separated by a bedside cabinet and lamp. The opposite wall houses a large wardrobe and chest of drawers, both finished in a cream colour with oak detail. The window blind, cushions and throws of the beds are a pale blue tartan effect, adding a subtle splash of colour. The third and final bedroom comprises a set of bunks with a wardrobe and chest of drawers. With soft furnishings to match the twin room and a feature wall finished in the pale blue of the double, this brings a consistency and theme to the decor. Completing the cottage layout, a bathroom is located next to the bedrooms. Simply decorated with pale tiled stone effect floor and feature tiles around the bathtub, the WC and basin are built into a vanity unit providing ample storage for toiletries. The modern bathtub features an electric shower over.

Location

With off road parking and landscaped grounds surrounding the detached stone cottage, the garden is a haven to relax and unwind after exploring the area.

Stepping out from the rear of the holiday cottage near beautiful Llandanwg Beach, a large stone patio stretches the length of the building, leading up to a lawn area. A six seater rattan dining table with parasol sits alongside a large and luxurious hot tub, perfect for a relaxing soak in the evenings. A step up leads towards a rustic and covered outdoor cooking area, where the chef of the group can show off their talents in the barbequing department. A second patio to the front of the cottage provides additional outdoor seating space. The garden is the perfect and private social space for guests wanting to enjoy their surroundings.

Located just outside the village of Llandanwg, the property is a short distance from Llandanwg Beach. A beautiful stretch of beach that's perfect for coastal walks with views to the hills of the Llyn Peninsula across Cardigan Bay. With a cafe located on the beach, it's the perfect spot to while away a few hours on a sunny day. Heading further north, the village of Harlech is located less than two miles away. Boasting miles of golden sand backed by sand dunes, the beach at Harlech is spectacular and overlooked by the thirteenth century Harlech Castle sitting atop a rocky outcrop in the village. Harlech is full of beautiful boutique shops and cafes, and the narrow streets are picturesque and joy to explore.

Further afield, there's something to suit everyone within a short drive of Swyn-Y-Don. The Italianate village of Portmeirion, full of beautiful and colourful buildings designed by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis in 1925, is a must visit. Mountain bikers and hikers should head inland to Coed-y-Brenin Forest Park, Britain's first purpose built mountain biking centre. The scenic forest location is also a great for hiking with numerous trails. Heading south, the seaside resort of Barmouth is a twenty minute drive. A pretty seaside town with yet another wonderful beach, this stunning location sits on the coast with a dramatic backdrop of the mountains of Southern Eryri (Snowdonia).

Fantastic stay and blessed with beautiful weather. We celebrated an 80th birthday and it was just perfect. BBQ every night and the hot tub was divine.

A delightful, well equipped and comfortable cottage. Welcome hamper a lovely gesture. Hot tub fab and well maintained with a respect for privacy.
Few minutes stroll to the beach and handy beach cafe. We enjoyed Harlech and a super roast at the Victoria Inn in Llanbedr.
Spent some time just relaxing at the property. Would return and would recommend.

We enjoyed every minute at this beautiful little cottage. So clean, bright and fresh. The hot tub was fantastic for the whole family and the big, enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and children.
We are already looking at booking a 2nd and 3rd return trip. Thank you for the welcome hamper too, it was beautiful!

We had a most enjoyable bank holiday weekend at Swyn-y-Don despite the wet & windy weather.
The property is a short walk from the beach with lovely mountain views. The facilities were excellent & we were grateful to have the hot tub which my grandson thoroughly enjoyed. It was good to have the enclosed garden for the dog.
The beds were comfortable, everywhere was clean & the welcome hamper was much appreciated.
We hope to return.

We had a lovely stay here. The house is very well equipped and in a lovely spot with amazing views. The local train station was a bonus and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. Only suggestion would be a couple of loungers for the garden.

We’ve had a brilliant stay in your beautiful cottage. It is rare to stay somewhere that meets all your needs, but we could not fault it. The cottage was lovely, comfortable and well equipped. The garden was amazing. The dogs loved it and spent hours running around safely. The hot tub was an added bonus. The location was great both for local beach walks and trips out to Abersoch and Barmouth. We even took the dogs on the train from Harlech back to Llandanwg. We would thoroughly recommend and hope to come back.
