Ty Chi is a two bedroom holiday cottage near Llanddwyn beach. Sleeping four, this beautiful and elegant barn conversion has the added benefit of a private garden with great views towards the Menai Straits and out over the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia).

Set on one floor, the cottage has a central open plan living room flanked by two ensuite bedrooms. High vaulted ceilings, accompanied by floor to ceiling windows which look absolutely stunning in the living room. With the addition of a log fire, this central space is both bright and welcoming at the same time. The decor is clean and modern with splashes of colour and vintage inspired pieces throughout the property. It all comes together giving a really lovely cosy feel whilst remaining fresh and vibrant.

The kitchen has everything you will need to cater for your group and is furnished with modern kitchen units and high spec appliances. The dining area is a move from the modern kitchen look with a vintage-inspired set of chairs and table. The sitting area has modern sofas and chairs which are positioned perfectly to sit back and take in the wonderful views or to watch a film in the evening.

The two bedrooms lead off from the main room. Both are ensuites, there is a king size bed and twin. Both have been finished with lovely soft furnishings and lots of thought and care has gone into the decoration, making them very comfortable and inviting rooms - a good night's sleep will be had by all!

The old pigsty next to the house has been converted into a useful boot room for guest use. It has a sink and a washing machine as well as an outside wash area. Perfect for hosing down those sandy toes and flip flops.

Location

Situated on the south western tip of Anglesey, the stunning Newborough Warren forestry and Llanddwyn beach is a fantastic place to be. Home to the famous Llanddwyn Bay and Twr Mawr lighthouse, the beach itself is wide and open and a great place for swimming and watersports. The neighbouring forest has a number of walking and cycling trails running through. Perfect for days out whatever the weather.

By the cottage, there is lots of open space including a paddock with horses immediately in front. The private patio to the front of the property is a great place to sit back and take in all the views - it will certainly be a place to relax in the evening having dinner with a glass of wine in the summer evenings.

There are plenty of walking and cycling options from the cottage so if you have bikes, be sure to bring them with you. Anglesey has lots to offer. It is of course home to the village with the longest name: LLANFAIRPWLLGWYNGYLLGOGERYCHWYRNDROBWLLLLANTYSILIOGOGOGOCH (Llanfair PG to the locals) It’s always great to go and get your photo op in front of the station sign!

Beaumaris Castle is a must to see - part of Edward I’s ring of fortresses, which included Caernarfon, Harlech and Conwy, it is said to be the most technically perfect castle. It is now a world heritage site.

There are 5 lighthouses on Anglesey and South Stack on the north west coast is probably the most famous as it is still in use and once you’ve gone down the 365 stairs to get to it, you can go inside and see how it works.

The Rib Rides along the Menai Straits is very popular - going along at high speeds is great fun - there are various different trips you can take. The skippers are very informative on the great history of the area and what you can see.

Other great things to do include a visit to Plas Newydd, Plas Cadnant, Pili Palas Butterfly Farm, Anglesey Sea Zoo and the Anglesey Race Circuit.

There are great restaurants and cafes across the island giving you a great choice of options. You are also only 30 mins away from other towns including Caernarfon and Bangor.

We had a lovely stay in Ty Chi. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfy and well equipped. Very peaceful and the views were stunning and the host was extremely kind and helpful with suggestions and directions for the local area.
The cottage is close to Newborough Forest which is a lovely area with red squirrels which was lovely to see. It is close to the mainland as well and we can highly recommend a day in Betws-y-Coed exploring shops and local walks. Great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Ty Chi. The house is well thought out, spotlessly clean and well equipped. As recent owners of a Tramper (rugged mobility scooter) we were able to easily park up at property and had a wonderful time exploring multiple accessible sites including Plas Newydd, Perhos coastal park and best of all Newborough forest and Llanddwyn beach. It was wonderful … and a warm cosy house to return to at night. Jane and Anne were helpful but unobtrusive, a perfect combination. We had a great time. We even managed to go all week without encountering a tractor coming the other way on narrow lanes. Tim & Diana

We had an absolutely wonderful 9 nights in Ty Chi. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very comfy and well equipped. Very peaceful snd the views were stunning and the hosts, Jane and Anne, extremely kind and helpful.
The cottage is close to Newborough Forest and Llandwyn Island, one of my favourite places and very magical, also to and wonderful walks in Anglesey. It is close to the mainland as well and we can highly recommend the walk to Aber Falls. Snowdonia isn’t too far away either. In all a wonderful place and we very much look forward to returning again soon.

A lovely relaxing place to stay with tasteful decor, very comfortable bedrooms, and stunning view. We loved being close to the beach and several red squirrel woodlands. Already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Jane for your warm welcome.

Absolutely brilliant cottage. Everything you need, parking, views, comfortable beds, two bathrooms, excellent kitchen. Owners were friendly and helpful. They left interesting booklets in the cottage about the renovation and places to visit. We would recommend Ty Chi to anyone. Five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Booked our stay just before we moved house and consequently became something we looked forward to ! Lovely welcome from Jane when we arrived, and we weren’t disappointed by our accommodation. Lovely spot with a cracking view of Eryri. The house is beautifully appointed and it’s obvious that the property has been a labour of love with some beautiful touches. Top quality fixtures and fittings with complimentary comestibles what more could you ask for ! Great location for exploring the south of the Island, with some awesome locations. The owner has a bookfull of local knowledge. Highly recommended
