Welcome to Ty-Teifi, your stylish base for West Wales wandering, riverside lounging, and perhaps one-too-many visits to the village pub (just a short stroll away, so no judgement). Perched above the River Teifi, this bright and breezy contemporary cottage in Cardigan Bay offers estuary views, comfort in every corner, and a layout that works beautifully for families, friends and the dog.

Step through the front door (just three gentle steps up) and you'll find yourself in a warm, modern home that's all about open-plan living, natural light, and soft coastal hues. The kitchen and dining area flow together with ease, perfect for lazy breakfasts or celebratory dinners. The kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials (yes, including a dishwasher and wine glasses), and the patio doors frame those peaceful estuary views like a work of art.

Move through to the lounge and you'll find deep sofas, a Smart TV, tasteful seaside artwork, and views onto the enclosed rear garden, complete with colourful flower borders and a sunny patio. It's the sort of place where children can play and dogs can potter, while grown-ups enjoy a quiet glass of something crisp.

Bedroom-wise, you're spoilt. The ground floor features a king-size bedroom with a modern en-suite including a walk-in shower, basin and loo. The family bathroom offers a shower over the bath, basin and toilet ideal for bubble baths after a blustery beach walk.

Upstairs, the main king-size bedroom boasts beautiful estuary glimpses and calm decor, while the third bedroom is a cheerful bunk room - a guaranteed hit with little ones or playful grown-ups. Outside, there’s a fabulous decking area to the front with seating and views over the rooftops to the River Teifi a brilliant spot for morning coffee, afternoon books, or a G&T as the sun slips west.

There's parking for two cars on the driveway, plus more on the quiet cul-de-sac road outside. And, with the slipway to the river just a few steps away, you're never far from the sound of water and the scent of salt air.

Ty-Teifi is the kind of place that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and fully embrace the West Wales pace of life.

Location

Ty-Teifi sits peacefully at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, just a gentle walk from the river and village pub. You’ve got front-facing views across the Teifi Estuary, and a private enclosed garden at the back with seating and flower borders - ideal for dogs, children or just a sunbathing session with a good book.

The decking area at the front is a standout feature, catching the light from morning through to early evening and offering beautiful glimpses of the estuary. Whether it's coffee at sunrise or wine at dusk, this is a spot you’ll return to again and again.

You’re within walking distance of a lovely traditional pub, and just a few minutes’ drive from Poppit Sands a gently shelving beach that's ideal for families and dogs. The nearby slipway gives easy access to the water, perfect for paddleboarding, kayaking or simply watching the tides roll in.

Just a short hop from Cardigan (Aberteifi), you'll find a bustling town centre full of independent shops, delis, cafés and the excellent Cardigan Castle. The surrounding countryside offers scenic walking routes, coastal paths, and picnic-perfect viewpoints. Explore further to discover gems like Mwnt Church, Cilgerran Castle, or the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre.

With the coast, countryside and creature comforts all within reach, Ty-Teifi is your gateway to the best of West Wales.

We have just returned from a lovely short break at Ty Teifi, we ( and our 3 dogs ) felt at home straight away 😉 . The property is in a great location with an enclosed garden to the rear perfect for dogs ( and also relaxing for humans) a great view of the Teifi Estuary from the front. Everything was clean and the decor is tasteful and harmonious. Everything we needed to be at home was there. The area has lots to explore especially its beautiful coastline Id definitely recommend this property

Just had our first stay in Ty Teifi and it was a lovely, peaceful, relaxing break. The house is very light, bright and airy. The beds were very comfy and kitchen well-equipped. Lovely views of the estuary and located in a really quiet cul-de-sac. The secure back garden is perfect for our dogs and it is very close to Poppit Sands and Cardigan. The welcome pack was a nice addition and the owners are really friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to return.

We had an enjoyable October stay at this lovely home. It is well laid out with everything you could need for a perfect stay. Spotlessly clean throughout with comfortable beds and living room furniture. The garden was perfectly secure for our two dogs, who also loved the sandy beaches close by. We also appreciated the views from the kitchen/diner and upstairs bedrooms across the River Teifi, the peaceful area, and the easy, trouble-free parking. Highly recommend for exploring this part of Wales.
