Beautifully Renovated Two Bedroom Bungalow Near the Beach | Y-Berllan

This was our 2nd visit to Y-Berllan and it was still as lovely as the first, everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The garden was nice and sunny all day and was so quiet it was heaven, the dog loved it as he was able to have the run of the front and back garden it was all really secure. We used the Spa and the One Stop in the village saved us having to travel to the larger supermarkets and it was only a bit dearer, nice pub in Llanbedr The Victoria inn (open all day) and with good food (lunch & evening time) and had lots of outdoor space as well as dog friendly inside. Couldn’t fault this lovely cottage at all highly recommend.

Y-Berllan is the perfect place for a coastal stay in Wales. The cottage is comfy, warm and spacious, well equipped, great for our two dogs who spent their time wondering around the property and garden, occasionally peaking over the stone wall to inspect the sheep in the neighbouring field (well they are Border Collies!) it’s a twenty minute walk to the beach, there is also a little walking area two minutes walk from the cottage if you want to exercise your pooches close by. There are other cottages next to Y-Berllan, but you are not really overlooked, and if anything this makes the cottage appear quaint nestled amongst others, but on the end of a row. I would highly recommend a stay – it’s just lovely. Loads around to visit and see – a perfect bolthole.

We stayed here for two weeks with our two dogs and we had a wonderful stay. The host and the owner were very friendly and helpful. We had a linen change half way through our stay and met the housekeeper who was lovely. The kitchen is well equipped, WiFi connection is great (I had to work during my stay). Fantastic dog friendly garden which had sun all day. Two shops within walking distance which were both stocked well. Really lovely stay all round. Can’t fault the place at all! Highly recommended.

Well appointed bungalow. Good sized rooms with a really nice kitchen/living area. Large, gated driveway and right next to fields of sheep which was lovely. Would recommend.

Great stay, came with my two young kids. I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing beachside holiday!

I loved this little cottage. The owner has provided everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. The garden was securely enclosed for my dog. Walk to Dyffryn beach was a leisurely 25 minutes along quiet lanes, farm tracks and across the dunes. It was also lovely having the little railway station just a short walk away.

We had a lovely comfortable stay and our puppy loved the garden and staring at the sheep opposite. The finishing touches and the welcome presentation as well as treats for the pup were lovely! We found the accommodation very clean and a very well stocked kitchen and facilities.

We used the local One- Stop a couple of times, very well stocked and friendly staff. We would highly recommend the property and the area and would definitely stay in the property again.

Lovely stay at the cottage. Very peaceful location but close enough to shops to buy supplies. The house was very clean when we arrived and smelt amazing. Lovely walks and beach nearby. The dog shower in the back was a fantastic idea. The only negative I can give is the mattresses on the beds need changing the were uncomfortable after a few days and we ended up with back aches but over all a lovely cottage.

This is our second property booking with Dioni. It is now my go to as I feel I am guaranteed a modern, well thought out property.
We stayed for one week in a lovely, two bedroomed cottage/bungalow. It was perfect for my husband, dog and myself.
The house was well equipped with everything we needed. It was so quiet and peaceful here with really friendly neighbours.
Beach was approx 1.5 miles away so walking there and back and walking along the beach was quite a trek. There was a car park you coukd drive to nearby with pay and display and toilet facilities.
The beach was gorgeous and we often found we were the only ones on it.
Loved the EV Charger.
A fantastic week and already booked next years holiday through Dioni.

Superb place with excellent facilities, everything you could think of, even fans in all the rooms! House was clean and very comfortable and within a great location with easy access to the local beach and lots of walks for people and dogs locally. Would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday rental to others looking for a quality location and holiday!

We have had the most wonderful and relaxing week despite changes in weather!
The bungalow was perfect both inside and out as we all including our dog, Dolly enjoyed it!
Great location as so peaceful and loved that we didn’t always have to use the car to get to beautiful places! The butchers and local spar at the end of the road was brilliant and people we met and neighbours were all very friendly!
We were sorry the week came to an end as could have stayed for much longer as still places to see and revisit!

Excellent, well presented accommodation that had everything you needed for your stay. Would highly recommend this property. Location was great for our nervous dog. The outside dog shower is a brilliant idea. The bungalow is in walking distance to the beach.

Lovely, spotless bungalow with everything you need. Great location – walking distance to the beach and train station, which takes you on a pretty coastal route. There’s also x2 shops to get day to day items and a butchers. Lots of places to explore nearby. Lovely warm outdoor shower for the dog and completely enclosed garden. Highly recommend a stay here.

We enjoyed a lovely few days at this bungalow. It has every facility you could need and was spotless. The outdoor doggy shower is wonderful, so very useful after days on the beach. We had a couple of issues with lack of heating (it is pre set so will only come on if below settings, including the towel rail) and as it was chilly it was very difficult drying things. After a couple of texts, the owner turned the settings up and we were able to dry things and be more comfortable. The walk to the beach is a lovely quiet path, approx 25 minutes and the village is very friendly. We used the very dog friendly Victoria Inn about 5 minutes drive away which served lovely food and has a huge garden. It was a very enjoyable break, Benar Beach is amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Y-Berllan. It is modern, comfortable and immaculately clean throughout. We loved the kitchen area (very well equipped) – especially the breakfast bar area. We had good weather so the garden was put to good use. Lovely garden furniture and cushions. Our dog Bella was well catered for and the little touches (treats, towel, bowls and outdoor shower were appreciated) The enclosed garden was perfect for her.
We had TV reception problems (previous guests?) but the owner was quick to come and rectify the problem. He was most helpful.
The information booklet was detailed and comprehensive (Alex Polizzi would be proud!)
The games in the lounge was a nice touch and we made use of them.
It is very well situated for visiting Barmouth, Porthmadog, Portmeirion and Harlech. I think the 15 minute walk to the beach is a bit optimistic. It was too far for Bella. However, we found glorious beaches nearby – especially Harlech so it wasn’t a problem. The local Spar and Butchers shop is literally just a few minutes walk. Try their sausages!!
Can’t really fault anything. Maybe some small side plates (the others are big) but that\’s all. We weren’t sure what to do with the bedding so we left them on the beds.
Thanks again to the owner. It would be lovely to return and I recommend it to anyone looking to take their dog.

Perfect location for our week long family break with our little Daxie. Great location situated a short 10min drive to either Barmouth or Harlech. Beautiful views of the sunset and friendly greetings from the sheep in the field opposite. Thanks

We had a fantastic stay at what is one of the best cottages we have stayed in for a while, everything you needed was there and it was so lovely and clean throughout. It was great to be able to leave the door open knowing the dog could not get out of the front or back garden, and the outdoor shower come in very handy for his daily shower after his morning walk down to the beach. The area was so very quiet as it was down a little side road the only noise came from the resident sheep in the field opposite. The one thing we found was the outside lights switched of at 11.00 pm so if you want to let the dog out after this you need a torch which is not really a problem as there was several in the property. Would would definitely recommend and would love to stay there again without a doubt.

Stayed here last week, absolutely fabulous, had the best week ever.
The cottage is exceptional, I would say if its not in there, you don’t need it 😂

Perfect base to explore the surrounding area. The property is as described, perfectly clean and felt very homely. The property has some great touches which made our stay very pleasant, especially the welcome pack. The garden was safe and secure for our dog and the outside shower was a great addition. The property was very modern and contained everything that we needed and more to allow for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend a stay at Y Berllan, we will certainly be back when in the area.

We had a lovely stay thank you! Accommodation was perfect in everyway for the two of us plus Jenson the dog.
I was so impressed that we had a dog bowl & an outdoor space to wash paws & clean boots…perfect.
The only thing we struggled with was where to dry wet waterproofs / dog towels etc, not sure how other guests coped with this as we have a boot room at home, however saying this it would not put us off booking again so hopefully we will be back next year.

Great week at Y-Berllan really enjoyed the beautiful house, facilities and location. Really good for our dogs and the owners really show that they themselves are dog owners.

A beautiful cottage with a private, peaceful garden. The garden was also secure which was great for the dog.The cottage was comfortable and well thought out. We were glad of the fans in the living room and bedroom as the weather was really warm. There were only two glasses in the kitchen, so a couple more would be useful. Other than that, the cottage had everything we needed. We like staying in this friendly village. There are lots of walks from the cottage and it’s ideally situated for travelling further afield. We spent a lovely day at Borth y Gest and Llandanwg. We went to Barmouth a few times and recommend downloading the Council parking app. Once set up on your phone, it makes paying for parking much easier. We hope to visit again next year.

We recently spent a week at this cottage. It was the first time we had taken our dogs away so were a bit apprehensive. We needn’t have worried. This cottage was perfect; everything thought of, including an outside covered shower for the dogs! Perfect location for long walks & the cottage itself was immaculate. We hope to return next year!

We spent a lovely family week here at the end of August. We found the cottage to be everything we needed as a family of four, which included our 10 year old son and our cockapoo. The cottage was clean and well maintained and had everything we needed. The enclosed garden worked brilliantly, as did the outdoor dog shower for when we returned from the beach. We were able to enjoy some family meals eating outside in the garden, and got to use our sons telescope to look up at the moon on a clear night. The recommendation to reverse onto the drive worked well. We didn’t need to use the electric charging point but there is one there. We found the location useful for exploring the local area and had a nice variety during the week of beach days, castles, steam trains, crabbing and shopping.

What a hidden little gem. I don’t often leave reviews, but we have just had the most peaceful, relaxing weekend. Everything was perfect, the cottage was clean and well equipped, we even had an odd dry hour here and there to sit out in the garden, and it was wonderful to hear…..nothing. The local spar shop (2 min walk) has an award winning butchers and we cooked every night which we hadn’t planned on, but the meat was fantastic.
Local beach, is perfect. We actually checked to see if it was booked this week as we wanted to stay longer. So yes we will be going back.

Secure parking and most importantly secure boundaries for our 2 dogs and even a shower outside for them! Lovely lawn with borders and a stream with table and chairs to enjoy the garden.

Inside was super clean and really well planned with everything you could ask for in terms of preparing and serving food and of course relaxing.

Everything was brand new and thoughtfully placed. We enjoyed 3 fabulous days and didn’t want to leave! 

We had amazing weather and visited 5 beaches with the dogs. The Victoria Inn which was recommended was not far away and did not disappoint.

Everything was on our doorstep. Y Berllan was exceptional and we are grateful we were able to stay.

Just returned from a short break at Y-Berllan. What can we say…..what a lovely modern property fitted out to a high standard. Perfect base for exploring the local area. Discovered some nice walks and beaches and all pubs were dog friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

We had a lovely break, Y Berllan is a lovely property, very well presented, clean and comfortable. Woofs well catered for too. Perfect location for us as close to our friends but also great for walking to the beach, woods, mountains also great for having a shop and caffi in the village too. Would highly recommend this property for a great holiday.

This was our third visit to Dyffryn Ardudwy – each time we have stayed in different DIONI properties. The property was superb with everything you need to make your stay perfect. It is in an excellent location for visiting the beach and nearby towns – garden was fully enclosed so we could relax properly with the dog. The dog shower is a great idea. We had excellent weather which if anything was a bit too hot for us so we spent a lot of time at the property as it was too hot to walk far with the dog. Definitely a little gem which we will try and return to in the future.

We had a two night stay and it was perfect: clean, comfortable, and a really well-equipped kitchen. We walked down to the beach and up to the Neolithic site and actually didn’t take the car out once! Thanks

We have returned from a lovely week away, the bungalow was very clean had great facilities and the dog shower was very much appreciated after some nice walks and time at the beach, the books in the bungalow with all the walks came in handy and were very useful. Area very quiet which is just what we needed, short drive to other areas, good food at the local pubs Victoria inn and Ysgethin Inn both dog friendly. Lovely thought with the welcome pack including some treats for the dog. Would return again.

Beautifully thought out bungalow with everything from milk, seasonings and home made cake and doggy treats. The outside dog shower is great and we were fortunate to have sunny weather and managed to sit outside. Ysgethin Inn a short walk away and well stocked butchers 2 mins walk. Great place

Stayed here for a few days it was a cosy, clean & modern holiday cottage. Location was perfect for exploring the local area. Lovely quiet beach a short walk away. Well stocked shop in walking distance too which was very handy. Great pub in a local neighbouring village called llanbedr , their Sunday roast was delicious. Highly recommend staying here , great place to stay and explore the stunning Welsh coast line and the sunsets are beautiful to watch from the area too.

The owners have beautifully renovated and modernised this lovely bungalow and have thought of everything you and your dog will need – even a pizza cutter!
We had a software issue with the car charger (essential in this part of Wales for EV drivers) but the owners sorted it immediately for us.
The garden is fully secure and would be lovely to sit out in in warmer weather.
The location is a lovely peaceful lane (I slept really really well and I’m a light sleeper) which is an ideal base for some lovely walks, the beautiful long, sandy beach is within easy walking distance and in mid March we mostly had it to ourselves even on the sunny day we were lucky to have.
We only went for 3 nights and had plenty to explore without venturing to nearby Barmouth or Harlech but we definitely want to return and explore more. We won’t hesitate to stay here again and loved it.
