Santa’s Grottos across North Wales

Visiting Father Christmas, or Sion Corn as we know him here in Wales, is one of the most eagerly anticipated activities in the run up to Christmas, when children experience the magic of season, share their wishlists with the jolly man himself, and receive a little pre Christmas gift. It’s a magical experience that creates lasting memories for all the family.

We’ve picked seven Santa’s Grottos across North Wales for families to enjoy together this December…

GreenWood Forest Park’s ‘Enchanted Forest’ – Y Felinheli LL56 4QN

Visit the Enchanted Forest, post your Christmas wishes and look out for naughty elves before meeting Santa in his forest tipi. Wednesday to Sunday until 23rd December.

Gypsy Wood Hwyl y Nadolig – Bontnewydd, LL55 2YA

Wrap up warm for a ride on Woody’s Train before heading to the magical grotto to meet Santa himself. Open daily until 16th December. 

ZipWorld Llechwedd ‘Zipmas’ – Blaenau Ffestiniog, LL41 3NB

Venture deep underground aboard the cable railway, through three enchanting chambers, the light maze, Santa’s workshop, and finally Santa’s grotto. Then head back above ground for a hot chocolate, mince pie and bauble decorating. Open daily until 24th December. 

Anglesey Sea Zoo Christmas – Brynsiencyn, LL61 6TQ

Meet Santa in his grotto every weekend during December, with a special chance to enjoy breakfast with the man himself on Christmas Eve.

Reindeer Lodge Enchanted Trail – Mold, CH7 4SQ 

Enjoy an enchanted drive along the illuminated lakeside and woodland, see the gorgeous reindeer in their paddocks and stables, discover the hidden elf village with toy workshop and meet Father Christmas himself, with a gift for every child. Dates throughout December – booking essential.

Santa’s Enchanted Grotto & Elf Academy at Gwyrch Castle – Abergele, LL22 8ET

Join Santa Claus, Mrs Claus, and the elves for a magical festive experience at the atmospheric Gwyrch Castle – weekends throughout December. 

Santa’s Grotto at The Old Courthouse – Caernarfon, LL55 2AY

Visit Santa in his grotto, tell him your Christmas wish and receive a gift. See the miniature Christmas village and meet the model Santas. Daily until 22nd December.
